This is a cool, Loud, atmospheric sports bar. Plenty of beer on tap including some very good German beers. Their home light beer was very good as was the German lagger. They use an app to place orders and pay for your food and drinks. It's a very nice concept as you just place the orders on the app, everything shows up (well not fast but it does eventually) and when done you just click a button add a tip and go home. The drinks always came fast but the food? We ordered when we sat and it took probably 40 minutes to get the food. So how do they still get a 4? We only ordered two things but man where they good. The shrimp tacos were not big but had plenty of shrimp and tasted amazing. The guacamole was also out of this world. It came with thick non greasy chip and was a legit version of this dish everyone has on the menu. I probably would have ordered one more thing as neither of these was a larger dish (the sweet potato fries looked pretty swell) but frankly did not want to wait another 40 minutes. I went for an early lunch on a Saturday afternoon, the crowd was fun and all about sports. They have a convenient menu barcode where you can place the order and pay. The food came immediately and was the best bar food I've had. The famous Jameson wings were so delicious. I would order a second just to take home. This was a really fun sports bar to watch a soccer game. There are several big TVs throughout the pub and the noise level was perfect. We ordered the chicken wings and the cheese burgers. We enjoy them all and will definitely be back for future games. We found Smithfield Hall steps away from the Renaissance in Chelsea on 3/17 at 9:30 in the morning. Expecting to be asked "How many?" we instead encountered "What game?" The left side of the hall was supporting Leicester in the FA quarter final, and the right side was supporting Chelsea. We replied "Can we have breakfast?" and were accepted in, knowing we'd best not dally lest the party who had a reservation show up. I had the excellent Avocado toast - although the avocado itself could have had more seasoning. My partner had the American Breakfast. Great coffee! Food was average, but service was non-existent. There was only one server for the entire back area so they seemed quite short-staffed. We came in on a Monday evening well before the football game and it wasn't that crowded. Even then, any time we wanted to get our server's attention, we had to flag her down. She never bothered to check on us after we got our food and when we ordered a drink (which never came), she said the ticket got lost at the bar. Huh? Just ended up canceling the order. Then we asked for A-1 and hot sauce which also never came. I asked again and it came at the end of the meal. The icing on the cake was that tips are pre-designated in the square up app they use so there is no incentive for good service IMHO. We ended up leaving an 18% tip (the lowest amount) so that we could leave as quickly as possible. This was definitely not a $70 dining experience. read more

!!!!!!!!DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!! My boyfriend and I went here on December 1st and there was some terrifying sketchy scene going on. A man approached us with his "friend" trying to make friends with us and speaking in multiple different accents. This woman who "didn't know them" then tried to corner us and was completely on drugs. The three people that were next to us "left"? And left their phones, wallets, backpacks, and jackets there. I hope nothing bad happened to them but I wouldn't be surprised if something did with what these sketchy people were trying to do to my boyfriend and I. I tried to tell the bartender about the girl that was seemingly on drugs and he claimed to talk to her but did not kick her out even after I told him that she was saying very suspicious and profane things to me. I would never go back I have never felt more unsafe in my life. read more

We only stopped in for a quick bite & a drink after a very long day. They were super busy, and we got a seat at the bar. The bartender (an "older" gentleman) was attentive & we enjoyed our drinks & calamari. The man that sat us was SO FRIENDLY & it really made a wonderful impression on us as most of the people we ran across in NYC weren't friendly. HaHaHaHa. Actually I came here last night with my friend and it was super duper crowded. We sat on the stools along the wall and ordered vodka cranberry with a splash of pineapple. We went back to the other side and grabbed the two seater with backs to the chairs because I hate sitting on stools and slouching through the night lol We were greeted by our fabulous server Erin and quickly ordered 2 vodka cranberry with a splash of pineapple topped with cherries =) Wow less than a minute and she's back with our drinks...that's what I am talking about fast service Food: (sharing is caring) Short Rib Tacos minus cilantro because I am so not a fan of cilantro...Oooooo the short rib was cooked to perfection and melts in your mouth Fried Calamari...huge pieces of squid rings deep fried so yummy in the tummy then Onion Rings...huge pieces as well with equal portion of the yummy batter and onion slices Overall we definitely found a great gem with an amazing Happy Hour for $4 for Bud Light Draft and $5 for everything else. Very cool pub in the heart of Chelsea. Home to fans of West Ham and Man City, and a respite to fans of good drink and food. We had the opportunity to watch the Field of Dreams game here with quite a few Yankee fans in attendance, but mostly just folks looking for a nice pub with chill at. Drinks specials are available and the food looks bomb. I like that they serve High West Bourbon and Double Rye, which rank high in my taste. They also have a plentiful selection of draft beer. Tried the Bavarian pretzel which appears to be scratch made and served with sides of beer cheese sauce and brown mustard. I could see food for other tables coming out and everything looked delicious. If you are in town and need a cool place to grab a drink, maybe some nosh and chill out, this is a great choice! read more

Extremely crowded and boisterously loud sports pub for Friday night Happy Hour which staff appears inundated with the demand for service. The noise volume was unbearable that I decided to order my entrée to go to be in a comfortable and peaceful environment. Customer service is average and turtle slow. Steak Frites $20 Marinated grass-fed hangar steak, hand-cut fries and garlic hotel butter with mixed greens Disappointing the steak was NOT served sliced for this French entrée but served as one giant slab of meat intact. The thinly cut meat of hanger steak (onglet) always mystifies my attraction, but this particular entrée was unattractive. Hollandaise sauce is provided separately which was very bland although the meat is flavor able and seasoned well. The side salad contains very minimal dressing. The French Fries are NOT Pommes frites style (thin-cut fries) but rather thick, ergo another disappoint. The piping hot temperature was maintained throughout my long haul train ride home. House white wine $5 (Happy Hour price) Pinot Grigio was very strong (which is unusual) but chilled perfectly of generous pour. TV screens are plastered all over the walls above the bar for avid sports fans and the chatter from patrons is in direct competition with the background music. Big bar with plenty of tables, all high top, all with a view of one or more TVs unlike some bars where you're out of luck if you sit in the wrong place. My friend said he's been there when it was so packed you couldn't move though. The calamari appetizer was okay for what it was, frozen out of a bag and watery dipping sauce. The burger was better though the server memorized my friend's and my order instead of writing it down and sure enough mine came with bacon which I didn't order, and got charged for. A great location to hang out after work, watch some games, have a couple of drinks and eat some delicious pub food. I've been here a couple of times for date nights and after-work office events or gatherings. The staff is cool and fairly attentive, but what really makes this place great is that it's spacious, has a wide selection of drinks, serves excellent food and has about a billion TV screens. For the most part, they're happy to switch the TVs to whatever sport you're looking to watch. They also get European sports, which was pretty exciting for my Scottish boyfriend as he's very invested in his home team. It can get very busy and crowded here, but it's still a fun space. Recently we went after I had a tough day at work and we got dinner her. We ordered the calamari, fish tacos, ceasar salad and fries. The tacos were delicious, a good sized piece of fish with cabbage and chipotle sauce. The calamari was well fried and they weren't rubbery or anything. I'm not crazy about calamari generally but I was very pleased with these! The ceasar salad was perfect. Chopped to nice sized pieces, generous but not overwhelmed in dressing and parmesan, and topped with half a hard boiled egg and two adorable slices of anchovy. Now the fries...they came in a literal bucket... it was obviously made for a table of ppl so I wish they'd warned us, but still they were good! Also a fan of the different dips they offer. The fries were on the crunchy side, but there were enough smooshy ones for me to be happy (personal preference). Prices weren't too bad, pretty average. Afterwards the bartender told us next time not to order the fries and instead go for the bacon slices so I'm pretty excited to try that! Generally, it's hard not to be satisfied here! read more

Food is surprisingly delicious for a sports bar. We stopped by for a burger and side salad at 4pm on a Friday. It's not a game night so low key. Tom was our bartender and also the owner. Super friendly and easy to talk to. You can tell lots of locals also come here. ;-). Lots of tv so may come back for warrior game Sunday. We had the classic burger with mushroom. Very moist and delicious. We got the fries and also wanted a side salad. Was pleasantly surprised to get a side chopped salad instead of the regular boring mixed greens. Great mid-block pub in Chelsea. Outdoor seating is comfortable and the heat lamps work well. No one complains if you need to adjust. A number of craft beers on tap and in bottles but I decided it was Miller Lite time. Ice cold and only $4. My friend had a couple glasses of wine and said it was good. I had the pub burger which is a bacon cheeseburger topped with a fried egg. Tremendous. My friend had the chicken katsu sandwich which was also awesome. I'm definitely a fan of this place! Come for some thurs night football and fun and I enjoyed myself. Not a rowdy football bar, in fact, there weren't many people sitting at the bar, but there were plenty of tvs and whoever was sitting at the bar was also watching the game so at least I was surrounded by fans. I had a Guinness and two Magners ciders. They came quick, bartender did a good job checking in on me. Came here for drinks with a friend and to catch a boxing match. The bar was split into two sides, one for the boxing match ($20 cover) and then the other side just regular bar business. It was pretty packed about an hour before the match and it was tough for me to find seats even for just 2 people. We ended up seated at a 4-top with 2 other ppl and it was weird to share the space since we were all watching the match. I liked that in the back where we were seated that there was a waitress just catering to us. She was super attentive and circled around often to check in and put in orders. Went here to watch the quarter finals for the Euro cup 2020...super lively and fun atmosphere. My boyfriend is English and he felt right at home watching the football! Food was good, beer is great. Could start and close a tab from your phone which was helpful. We sat outside, but the inside was a lot of fun also. They had the sound on for the game and made a whole event of it. One of my favorite sports bars to go to. I wish I had photos of the drinks and food to upload but whenever I come here I guess I'm having way too much fun to take pics lol. This bar is pretty big, from what I can tell there's only 1 level. There are a few different reasons why I like this place: 1 - No matter what day I can always get a drink. The bartenders are always on point and eager to refill. I did get a little attitude from one waitress a few weeks back but later on was told she been working basically all day so I get it. 2 - It's a 5 minute walk from my current job! How bad ass is that. 3 - For a bar hey have great food options (fish tacos, rosemary fries, pulled pork sliders). Those were my favorites. I always leave full and satisfied when I order food. 4 - (And the final reason) , there are so many TVs and they all are generally not playing the same thing. I think I've found my new happy hour spot! I met a friend here after work last week and was pleasantly surprised! Large venue with 2 big bars so it was easy to score a seat. It was pretty slow when I arrived but got crowded quickly. Service was fast and friendly and they have some good happy hour deals that last til 8pm!! I appreciate a happy hour that goes to a decent time...the ones that end at 6pm should be closed down by the DOH because they suck. Really?? I gotta work to pay for them cocktails!! I don't know too many NYC'ers who can make it to the bar by 6pm. Anyways, the food was pretty good too and reasonably priced. Lots of tvs for all you sports fans. Stopped in here for a quick lunch with my colleague. This sports bar is located directly from my job anddddd they're happy hour starts early and end late! WHOOP-WHOOP! Started off with two glasses of the house Pinot Grigio, followed by ANOTHER two- duh. One will never be enough I had some sort of spicy chicken wrap- which was good, but overly spicy. Too spicy to enjoy so I never finished it, but it was good. My co worker had the chicken Cesar salad wrap, which she devoured in minutes- clearly I should have gotten that one.
