I'm going to blame this on myself... I knew I shouldn't use the smiths app to order groceries as past experiences and failures to successfully use the app have plagued me in the past, but I ran out of groceries and decided to try again. unfortunately 50 items and over $300 in expenses later the checkout page dropped an irrelevant error code and number to call when I tried to pay. I also knew I shouldn't waste my time with customer service who never have the ability to solve app issues but I had just spent an hour shopping... so, 40 minutes later i was proven correct by the failure of customer service to actually take my money and check me out. such a waste of my time! Now I'm livid. 2 hours of time spent getting nowhere!!!! I could have shopped at three different stores in person in that amount of time!!! I can only blame myself for picking Smiths as a business and thinking they would deliver on their value and service. I will not make that mistake again! I'd rather pay $2 extra for everything by going to Harmons where their apps and service do work than losing my mind trying to shop at smiths. I really hate Smiths right now! read more

The 1 star is for corporate and how they've sold the parking lot. 9 out of 10 times I come now I get flipped off by someone driving out of jiffy lube or bank. I've been going to the supermarket for almost 40 years and it is still great. It is clean and friendly and wide variety. I love having them do the shopping for me and pick it up curbside. Last week, the woman was very rushed due to the Super Bowl parties, but she was very kind and in such a nice mood, anyhow.. I always find it very satisfactory. I like the rotisserie chicken. It's even better there than the nearby Smith's a few miles away.. but they are all over the valley. Fruits and vegetables are all good. The problem I find in the valley is nobody has good meat. I guess they just can't get good beef because they're always chewy. Same at this store, at least now it has been. I would like a nice tender steak. We need to go back to butcher shops. read more

OMG this pms e went to Sh** when they 'upgraded' the prices while DRASTICALLY DOWNGRADING ALL QUALITY! Cashiers are mostly good except for Judy who in an empty grocery store acted annoyed and rude that I dared try to checkout. Had a bunch of water at the bottom of the cart that usually people just scan. She insisted that I bring all the waters to her and put them back instead of just scanning them. I know it's something small but it was just such a rude experience as she lectured me about it for the next 5 minutes. read more

Zero stars would be fitting. Dirty, stock carts in all the aisles, wet messy produce all over the floors. Worst out of stocks I have ever seen. Store is half full. I frequent Smith's a lot and went to this location because the one on Fort Union doesn't have Paqui's chips. In this way, Smith's did not disappoint, as I am currently licking nacho cheese dust off of my fingers. My main beef ... well ... is partially with the beef. Specifically, the hot dogs. You think you'd find them along the back wall with the other meats, but nay, they are in some random aisle. I also don't like the fact that you can't have multiple stores running on your app at the same time, so I had to "change stores" on my phone before I could find their bevy of illogically placed items. And guys, lets move some of the merch INSIDE the store. I had to bob-and-weave my way down the sidewalk past big, unopened boxes, and more deck chairs than were on the Titanic. Still, the place has that good mix of quality products at lower prices ... as all Smith's do. Even my Paqui's chips were on sale. read more

Rats! I saw 2 run from the deli area over to the isles while shopping. I brought it up to customer service and the gentlemen just laughed and said "he knew." I would suggest going the extra mile down the road off 13th to shop for your deli items at least. Who knows how many more are crawling around this store. read more

Before the remodel in 2014, their selection and variety was much better. Since the remodel, I've noticed several products they no longer carry, in several departments. I have been here at least 15 times buying different cheeses and sadly, they've been expired, some by over 10 days and the shelf is littered with them. I've also seen multiple expired dairy items, eggs, milk, cream, butter, yogart, the entire lot or brand of it, not just one specific container. The produce section had also become very sad and miniscule as to what they used to offer and I've seen the fruit is rotten at least 7 different times. They no longer carry any sort of sprouts (bean, alfalfa, or any variety). I've used their pharmacy before and never had any issues, I enjoy the walk up window for pick ups and drop offs, especially. This used to be my favorite grocery store location, but hasn't been since the service and selection have rotted away. At most times, there's usually only 1 regular check stand open, so I resort to self checkout mostly. The staff is usually pretty friendly and helpful, but that can only go so far. read more

As a directional note, sometimes this place gets listed at 2039 Little Cottonwood Road. Technically, once 9400 S. crosses over 2000 East (Highland Drive) everything to the east is Little Cottonwood Road. Which is also SR-209. Clear as mud? Once you've found the place (it's actually a cinch) you can expect to find another Smith's Food And Drug inside. This whole strip mall has been a bajillion things, but the Smith's has been rock steady for a long time. Does anyone remember the store "Christmas In Utah" from the strip mall here? Great idea in December. Not sure how sales went in July. Meat department, bakery, blah blah blah. It's a grocery store. In a world of super upscale stores and natural and organic and all that new-age grocery-ness, these guys are right down the middle of the road. They're listed as open 24 hours, but it's been ages since I tested that. As a teenager (this is my old stomping grounds) I tested things like that frequently. Now? Not so much. read more

The store itself has alot of good points. Great meat! Some of the best filet cuts around. They have the best selection of organic produce, outside of whole Foods and HArmons. Sushi Guy always brightens up the place with his free samples and upbeat attitude and good sushi. Deli is good, deli staff seems a bit put out. But, they have a great selection of Boars Head. Bring your own bags, unless you want 1 plastic bag per item. Bagging can be a skill, but it's easier just to twirl the bagging platform for each item, guess. 10 items, 8 bags.. I guess the Bright side, I am more disciplined to use my own bags now. They do not have a good selection over all, of brands. You can almost sense some sort of Kroger contract on many common products. read more

This place is my go to because of location, it used to be great but has gone downhill. The bakery doesn't make half the stuff they sell anymore and apparently take no responsibility for it! I bought donuts the other day and my wife got a RAW donut, called the place and they said we don't make them. Visiting from Houston and I love how the store is affiliated with Kroger -- get to use my Kroger card! Clean store and worked well for us while we were out of town. My only complaint was that the location of some of the aisles didn't make sense...it took me forever to find the bread aisle (which was really far away from the chips and snacks aisle). Either way, glad this store was within walking distance of the house we were staying in. read more

They just had a BIG remodel here which ended up to be Excellent. They have fresh sushi made, Boar's Head deli meats at the counter, a very clean and extended olive and cheese bar and they even put in a section for health foods. The staff is helpful and friendly and the US bank inside has extended hours making it Very useful for the workday. Definitely my favorite grocery store. read more

My husband and I shop here all the time but recently they have gone down hill. We stood there waiting for someone to bag our groceries but there was not a bagger in sight. There are two Smith's locations close to my home and this is my favorite. The staff seems the nicest and most courteous and the shelves are always pretty well stocked, even when they have their case lot sales. The store is clean as are the bathrooms (with two toddlers in tow, we've checked them out a few times). Thought it's not the cheapest grocery store (hello, Walmart), it is my go-to store for quick grocery runs. And they do have some great sales. Plus their deli counter chicken salad is pretty good too! read more

The staff here is consistently friendly and very helpful. You can tell by how well run and organized everything is that they have a solid management crew running things. Kroger has got it figured out. Prices are fair, lots of items including a variety of glulten-free stuff. Produce is nice, meat guys helpful. Garbage cans dotted here and there in case you need to throw something away. I've been shopping here for 10 years and know it like the back of my hand. I like the gas discount. I'm sure the place is more than Winco but I'm not driving 12 miles and laying out $400 for groceries so Smith's works for me. There's a Fresh Market across the street and a Ream's less than a mile away. They do a robust business for a reason. The experience at Reams isn't pleasant and it's the most expensive of the three. Fresh Market is boring and seems to be more expensive than Smith's for the things I buy. It's exciting (as far as exciting it can be to go grocery shopping) because there's so many people and so much going on. The place is alive compared to the other two stores. read more

One of the worst pharmacies in the valley. Waited over 80 minutes only to find they gave the medication to another customer resulting in another 40 minute wait and still prescription wasn't filled. No apologies, no sympathy. I finally left. This was the third bad experience with this particular pharmacy. I simply won't go back. If Smiths is going to have an on-sight pharmacy they should monitor their customer service and quality control. read more

NEVER NEVER NEVER GET THE CREDIT CARD!!! No matter how much they offer you! It's unfortunate that Smith's has chosen to business like this. I signed up on an offer to get a statement credit and a fuel discount for a year. Turns out neither happened AND they did not send a statement and so then charged a late fee. Aside from overall poor business choices, this store is hit or miss okay. One time I spent forever looking for an item only to ask customer service. Instead of trying to look up the item in inventory, she told me, "go look again." All in all, we still go there sometimes, but we've closed the credit account and sold off the Kroger stocks. read more

I've been shopping here since the day they opened. Today I was doing the bagging which is something I have to do often there. The checker accused me of not putting everything I purchased on the counter. Seriously? I was putting things I had purchased into the basket. I was doing THEIR job!!!!!! The store itself is fairly clean, and well stocked, but I wonder if any of the employees actually like to work there!?! I saw a patio set up front that I liked and wanted to buy. After approaching an employee I was simply told where some of the boxes were stored, and if I couldn't find the set I wanted there then they were out of stock. The next morning I decided to check out the display again, only this time they had 2 boxes in stock, just not in the location I had been pointed to the night before. The employees were again very unfriendly, one lady even "barked" at me for having taken the price tag off the display outside ( I assumed this was the last remaining patio set). I also listened in to employees gossipping about some other employees, it was hard not to hear them screaming through the store. All in all, this is not a store I'd recommend! read more

Did not find good produce here. Vegetables and fruits were not very fresh and not very tasty. The salmon I ordered was not that fresh either. And the chicken legs were even frozen but thawing, they did not have fresh chicken legs. read more

Worst experience... wont take accountability for service received. Made a call to them person on phone was polite and so I went ahead and made appointment. Was told there was a $29.00 fee to come to home and tell me what is wrong but the technician would have to give me price on fix. Service man arrived he told me it was $29.00 to just come to house it would be another $80.00 to determine what was wrong and how much to fix. I went ahead with the charges with the impression it would be fixed. He told me I needed a new key and it would be another 120 to cut the key and 90 to program it. and $35 to get the code from the dealer. So a total of $384.00 So I again agreed to the service. He made the key gave it to me and left. I went to move the car and the interior lights stayed on the whole time, and the driver door would not open with new key, so I called them back he returned and said that it was another $150 to fix my door lock and that is why the interior lights remained on. So I forked over another $150 to have it fixed. My door locks never had a issue... So he leaves again, now my electric locks on my car don't work, and the interior lights stay on unless I lock my door. I called him back he said not his problem that wasn't what he fixed. I said it wasn't broke to begin with, and when I gave you the additional 150 I expect both the electric locks to work as well the door and my lights to not to remain on. He said not his problem. So buyers beware of this company.. Very disappointed that they don't take accountability and fix the issue when you request and pay for services. Especially when you are told it is $29.00 to come to you and tell you what's wrong, only to find out it is $29.00 just to come to you and another $80.00 to tell you whats wrong. The deli staff are the WORST ever!! They ignore you even after they make eye contact with you and continue on with their personal conversations. When you ask for help they seem so put out by having to actually help you. If they hate their jobs they shouldn't be taking it out on the customers. This happens EVERY time I go to the deli. I have always tried to avoid the store but they are the closest to me that sell Boars Head. I will make sure I go out of my way now and never go back to this store. read more
