So they changed their hours and are no longer open 24/7 (annoying in a town like Vegas). I like getting up early to try to beat the heat and crowds, but they're always stocking the shelves at 6 am. If you have hours when you're closed, why not pay people to stock shelves while you're closed so the shopping experience isn't annoying as all hell? The worst was in the soda area where the guys stocking were super rude and purposefully stayed put when they saw I was trying to manipulate my cart through their maze to put heavy soda in it. This store used to be the best. Definitely going to Winco from here on out. Really crappy past few experiences. read more

Always happy with this store! I take my kids and it's always well stocked the produce is usually good and the meat is good too. I haven't had any complaints as far as the groceries are concerned. My one issue is the chip readers don't always work which takes time to finally get it to work but other than that I've been very happy. read more

They are starting to make a lot of prepared dinner items located at the deli area. I have tried many items and everything is very good. I asked where the food is being made and the woman said "an in house chef makes everything" and proceeded to point to him busy making food. I have tried flat bread pizza, stuffed peppers, fried chicken, meatloaf, mashed potatoes, stuffed cabbage, vegetables etc. all very good! Every time I return they they have something new, this time I saw a reuben and boy did it look good.....next time I'll get one. And by the way every time I shop at this store everyone has always been very nice. read more

I went into this store to order sushi as it was advertised online. The sushi guy seemed to be confused not having those items in his guidance book. I went up front to speak with a manager. Julian the customer service manager came up to me and asked an off duty employee from bakery to help me. 20 min later with no answers, this off duty employee still had no answers. I asked this employee if are off duty why are you helping me and not the manager? He replied "he didnt know". As I was leaving I approached Julian again and asked him why didn't he assist me? He said the bakery guy who was off duty would take care of it. Hmmm...so I began confronting him why does Kroger a nationwide store advertising sushi that they are not selling. Regardless of the sushi in a Smith's store is a 3rd party, they should honor it. Apparently the 3rd party sushi vendor has been there for almost a year and the advertisement is still there. Julian had an attitude with me. Had his hands at his waist. Was not accommodating did nothing to help the situation..and he is a customer service manager!!! Why Smith's???? And when asked where was the store manager at 4:16pm they all left for the day?? On a Friday before Labor day and payday and Snap??? Sorry excuse for a manager. How is he going to represent Smith's like that? Hands on his waist with attitude like I WAS WRONG? AND UPSET WITH ME?? ANSWERING BACK A CUSTOMER INFRONT OF OTHER CUSTOMERS!!!! The employees here are mostly friendly, helpful, & nice but at the food deli area a couple of them need to brighten up. Anyway, I like this Smith's than most & it is one of my favorite Smiths to shop at. It's mainly because of the employees, they aren't rude like at the other stores. The customer service desk is also fast & helpful. They have great deals during their sales & a variety of selections for hot food at the deli bar. It's also awesome because you can also order your groceries online & pick it up at a reserved time. read more

Honestly, I just feel like so many grocery stores have stopped trying. With Amazon and all of the little specialty Grocers opening, Smiths needs to step up their game. Today I went to buy bulk peanut butter from the grinder machine, and the guy in the self checkout area told me that the almond butter was the same price-- definitely not. (Almond butter is around $8 lb and peanut butter is around $2 lb.) To try and placate me, he gave me a $2 coupon that still left me with $9 peanut butter instead of $3 peanut butter. It's summer, and my temper and body are hot, so I figured it was best to just cut my losses and leave. With Amazon buying Whole Foods, I'll just ask Alexa to order my peanut butter from now on. This is about their STARBUCKS since I can't find a listing for just it. The older barista with auburn hair needs a write up or to be fired. I ordered one of their new fraps, the mango pineapple. She flat out called it disgusting TWICE. I left because who does that!? I then called customer service and they had me talk to the equally rude manager, Wendy. She just said she'd talk to her and sounded like she didn't care at all. She was there! She heard what her employee was saying! My roommate then went in to customer service to complain, only to be told that the manager said we had asked the baristas opinion. No, we did not. Going to go in tonight since my roommate was essentially dismissed by the other man too. Don't go here! There are plenty of BETTER options nearby. read more

The produce sections and bakery/deli are great and overall the place is very clean and organized. The staff is very helpful and friendly. One cashier ,Valerie made my whole day one afternoon. Be careful when shopping at this store. They advertise one price, but when you check out, the scanner rings up a much higher price, usually double of what the advertised price. I recently bought plums which were advertised on the front page of ad for $.99/lb, and I asked the produce manager if the ones I bagged were the ones on sale as he confirmed. I was charged DOUBLE at 1.99/lb upon check out. I bought several other groceries so I didn't notice the mistake until I got home and checked (I never trusted this store). I then had to make an EXTRA trip back to the store for a refund......which they cannot deny since this was the advertised price! I should have charged them time and travel back to the store. Don't shop this store if you think you are going to save money. In the long run, you are going to spend more because of their illegal practices. read more

I don't normally do reviews for anything but restaurants but I felt I had to the way I was treated this morning. I couldn't sleep so I decided to get my weekly grocery shopping done first thing. Big mistake. When I only need a few things I go to the Vons in Anthem Village since it's right down at the bottom of the hill but I do my weekly shopping at Smiths. Better prices, wider selection, etc.. so I asked if the Deli was open and was advised that it was. I went there to get Boars Head ham and there was one employee working (older lady, I'm thinking late 60's, early 70's). I politely asked if she could help me and got a total attitude. No one is here! Ummm, you're here. Total attitude, bitching about other employees and being totally rude to me. I asked for a half pound and she tosses a pound on the counter. It was on sale so I went ahead and accepted it. If your other employees are late to work don't take it out on me. Talk to their supervisor or directly to them. I spend $400 to $500 a month at this market. She bitched that she had work to do.. NOT my problem! Also, when you're doing your prep work be more careful about shoving food in your mouth and licking your fingers. Disgusting. I'm very disappointed. When I lived in California I shopped at Ralph's and when I lived in Texas I shopped at Kroger's. I've been a loyal customer for over 35 years. Worst experience I've ever had at any of them. I met the President of your company a few years ago at a Kroger in Dallas. Super nice guy and I'm thinking he wouldn't be real happy to know a loyal customer was treated with such disrespect. I typically don't like Smiths, especially the one on Maryland Pkwy. But this location on Eastern is quite tolerable. Unlike the Maryland Pkwy location, the staff is friendly... a little lazy, but somewhat helpful too. The pros are that the store is clean and well organized and I prefer the self checkout over the associate line checkout. The cons are that I wish the self checkout machines wouldn't always get stuck and/or stop for no real apparent reason forcing you to wait for whenever an employee gets around to helping. Also, I wish they offered home delivery like Vons. read more

Murray's cheese shop has a particular cheese that I like. That is the main reason I stop in this store. I don't know her name but the clerk is very polite in this dept. she asked "how are you"? She speaks very, very loud and very animated. Reminded me of a fictional character like from Harry Potter but in a very endearing way. She said she was "good, good" almost too happy to be at work In my opinion. Refreshing to see a happy person, smiling, out and about. The 2 other women that worked in this Murray's cheese section were discussing in detail how they were going to place items in the display while standing on the customer side. Sounding very detail orientated on angle etc...while I appreciated the planning tactics, being off a 1/4 inch in either direction would not matter much since most people won't pay between 15 and 30 dollars for a pound of cheese. But I admired their commitment to the cause anyway. I like to park by the animal hospital so I have a bit of a walk to the store. Lately I've noticed men sitting in their vehicles alone in the middle of the lot. Maybe they are waiting for someone, or maybe they don't like supermarkets or maybe they are checking out all the parked cars that are unoccupied and passing along that information to an accomplice whose now breaking into their home. This happened at another gated community that is why I'm mentioning it. On my way back to my vehicle across from the animal hospital an enormous custom jacked up black pick up truck with the engine running and the driver in the drivers seat was just sitting backed into a space. I sat in my vehicle for awhile them noticed this person pull out and leave. No one got into the truck. Just another example. Everyone knows that crime has increased in Henderson in the last 10 years. This supermarket has gone way down hill since last year's renovations. The shelves are not stocked. The expiration dates are part due or not readable. The fish department people are not knowledgeable and are rude. The deli department are extremely slow. It is a shame, six years ago when I first moved here from NY I thought Smiths beat any NY supermarket, now I will need to drive a little further and shop elsewhere. read more

i just moved here and there are plenty of grocery stores nearby....albertsons across the street, k mart and walmart down the street, but still i prefer smiths. it reminds of pavilions back in the day. i used to live in california, but for some reason, all the smiths there closed in my area, and here its pretty popular. economics at its best i guess... anyways, they have cute lil starbucks with outdoor and indoor seating, they have a full bakery, salad bar, antipasto bar, soup station, coin star, bank, two red boxes and book section. they bake fresh bread and you can even choose to slice it in the auto slicer. Once the lady at the bakery gave my nephew sample of sugar cookies...so sweet (the lady i mean, and the cookie too). the place is clean, like really clean and it reminds me of a cross between trader joes (or wild oats/henrys/whole foods) and albertsons. i cant realy say the place is cheaper...its cheaper with some foods, but others, its more expensive or just about the same. it just depends, but i never feel like im spending way more than normal. read more

This is for the PHARMACY ONLY. The grocery store staff is very good, efficient friendly etc... The PHARMACY closed a few minutes early today. They knew I'd be back to pick up my prescriptions, & when I saw the lights turn off, I ran to the pick up area & begged them to let me pick up my stuff. They wouldn't even come out of the back office they were hiding in. I could hear them moving, see their clock on the wall & it wasn't 6PM yet! This is really embarrassing & disappointing. I need my medicine, & now have to arrive late to work tomorrow so I can pick up my meds 1st. I'm really sad about this & it kind of affects my entire view of the store. Which used to be excellent. In closing, store staff is great, but the Pharmacy made a surprisingly unprofessional choice & I hope they put more thought into closing early next time. NOTE: If management reads these, this occurred on 12/06. I turned my scripts in @ 5:15pm & returned @ 5:55. Pls check cameras to verify. :( read more

The worst customer service ever.I went in to buy 10 mega sale.I checked all items had tags but was still over charged.I went to the service center to explain.The checker there was nasty to me.Like I was trying to cheat them.Like if it's her money.When started to expand she raised her voice to me.I yelled back and asked her to not yell at me.Than she walked away and got a manager.This lady showed up with her.Also with the same nasty loud voice and asked what was the problem.Looked and my receipt and said all this for 10 dallors.I was so mad and I asked for a full refund.No one said sorry or wanted to walk to check the tags with me.Maybe if I was a White Lady they would've been better. read more

Smiths is a great store the bakery here is phenominal but as often as i come in i always see a clerk and her name is Amanda now i asked for several items in courses of time but they seem to of taken a back seat one day i came in and i knew the cake i picked could be writen on she denyed it could and pointed me to baking supplies to do it my self ever since i been seeing her she seems to not know know what she is doing as the rest of her co workers seem to throw out twice the effort it seems and i seen her deny service to not me but some one else cause she was on her phone. the rest of the bakery team fantastic but i swear these two people a amanda and Karen seem to have there heads im the clouds and amanda either didnt care or she loved to mess with her phone more then caring for pating customers. read more

This is the best market in the area. They have the best prices and a fantastic bakery section with tiramisu, creme brulee, donuts, cakes and pies. It's rare to find a place that offers so many special services and also has bargains without an annual membership fee. Way to go Smith's! read more

I like this supermarket more than some of the ones that are closer to where I live. Sometimes I'll stop in on the way home from Sam's Club. I love the floral section when I first walk in. It's so pretty to pass through. I also like the Starbucks with the lovely little outdoor seating area. The interior is very nice and clean and has a more "upscale" feel to it as far as supermarkets go. It's too bad this place isn't closer. read more

I like this Smith's! I like the way it looks on the outside- colorful and inviting. I like the way it looks on the inside, like it's chock full of anything you could possibly want. Which it is. Well, it's chock full of what *I* want, at any rate. This place makes me think that customer comfort is at the top of their priority list. I have gone to this smith's quite a lot ... never had to need any extra help ... but couple of weeks ago I had paid for a couple of bouquet of flowers & had them held at their flower section counter as my husband & myself needed to run another errand & dint want the flowers left in the car . Young lady who noted my name on the items was nice to hold the items with no question. When I went back to retriev the items I unfortunately lost my receipt ... person in Chan the of the self chk out counters had to call the manager which was understandable as I dint have my receipt. I was trying to offer information which I thought could somehow help Janie the manager to somehow prove that I had paid for them. They were about $5 worth ... hardly saying a word she placed the items on the counter & pushed them towards me ... New? Scam I am generally happy with this store, but when visiting today I almost got scammed. I'm not sure if this is a new scam, but it is the first time I have caught it. In the produce section, Smith's has two different produce bags that are the same size, except that one has a yellowish tint. It turns out that the yellowish one is for organic produce. I was selecting produce from the non-organic section, which was at least 30 feet further down the aisle from the organic section, and needed some bags which I got off a nearby roll. I did not realize that the yellowish bags were for organic, and did not know that it was necessary to read the bag; I never have in the past. After checkout, I thought the amount was higher that I expected, and upon reviewing my bill, found that the cashier had charged organic prices for non-organic food. I did request and receive a refund, but to my mind, the presence of the organic bags in the non-organic section of produce is a deliberate method of trapping the unwary into overpaying for their non-organic produce. Other scams I have run into at this store are: 1. The occasional missing price marker and 2. higher priced items stocked behind a lower price marker. It seems that nearly every week if find some corporation has found a new way of scamming additional money from their customers, and I am getting tired of having to be so suspicious every time I buy something. read more
