Curbside at Smith's is very disappointing - I'd be reluctant to use it even if it were my only option. The website has no relationship to actual store inventory. You can literally place a pickup order for 999 of an item on the website (just go try it, it's hilarious), even if the store has no stock at all. Who designs a system like this? Worse yet, Smith's will not notify you of out-of-stock items. No e-mails, nothing. They just e-mail saying the order's ready, and skip over the fact that items are unfulfilled. So I've tried this twice now, and the first time only a few things were missing so I didn't really care. But on the second, about 3/4 of the stuff I ordered wasn't available. And they don't think to even e-mail or call to let me know that?? It makes me wonder, if there was literally not a single thing available from my order, would they still e-mail me telling me to come pick up my order? I'm only giving +1* because the staff who brought out my order came out quickly and was friendly. read more

Don't get me wrong I love smith. But today I had grabbed a bottle of Panera bread, ranch dressing, and a Caesar dressing by time we got to check out the ranch dressing was leaking from the top even though it was sealed. so I said OK I'll grab another one. Bout time I got home it was doing the same thing so I opened it and it was just start busting out swollen. This place is really close to where I live but I don't go in there very often because, well, Target is closer. Alas, Target (not the one on Eastern) doesn't carry a ton of grocery items, so sometimes I have to come here. I like that they have extremely cheap groceries - my sister seriously trips over the fact you can get a mini cake for $2.99 or a gigantic cupcake that would easily serve 3 for $1.99. I've worked in commercial bakeries, so nothing appeals to me here, but whatever, she likes it. What I don't like is this; this place smells really bad when you walk in. I can't describe what it is, but it just stinks to me. When I walked in at about 7 PM on 12/31/10, dressed to the nines and teetering around in my sky high stilettos, it was a beast trying to find the drinks because I was bringing mixers and non-alcoholic drinks (because I don't drink) to a New Year's party I was attending. I couldn't find a single person who worked there, other than up at the registers (which were really deep with customers in line.) After walking back and forth about 4 times, I found a lady at the cheese counter talking to another employee. That employee verbally told me where to go, vaguely, to find what I was looking for. Thanks. The alcohol is between the bakery and seafood departments - not in an aisle, and all other beverages are on the complete other side of the store, past all the aisles of food and then a bunch of aisles of non-food items. What's up with that? I think I did 6 laps trying to find soda water, juice and drink garnishes (maraschino cherries, cocktail onions) and coconut cream - you'd think they'd put it all relatively close together, but they don't. Oh, quick tip, the maraschino cherries in the liquor aisle are almost $4. The one in the ice cream aisle are the house brand and about $1.50, so look around. I really disliked that while I was teetering in my shoes, with my shopping basket in hand, and about a zillion lbs of 2 liter bottles of soda water and juice, nobody asked me if I needed help out - which I really did. The one time I actually needed help, I got none. Psh. Will I be back, obviously yes because it's close, but I wish they'd have a better layout and employees that were able to be found when I need help finding something or getting out of the store. read more

I've ordered a handful of times for delivery to my mother who lives nearby, and I've been disappointed all but once. No more! They can't properly fill an order, don't substitute like kind, or don't even try to substitute at all. Example: Wheat Bread and bagels. They didn't substitute at all. I rushed out to Smith's the other night to pick up some milk for the next morning. I knew they closed at 11:00, so when I parked and rushed to the door, I knew I had made it. Except I didn't. There was an employee at the front door who said they were closed. I looked at my watch, and told him that it was 10:55 and they close at 11:00 and I would be out of the store by 11:00. The "friendly" Smiths employee said, "No. "We don't let anyone in the store after 10:55." I again asked why the store hours said open until 11:00, and the "friendly" Smith's employee again said, "We do not anyone in past 10:55." Never mind it was not past 10:55, it was 10:55. It was very clear to me that he just wanted to get off work. They are not the only store in the area,and I I'll happily take my business elsewhere. read more

Worst customer service ever. Had to use self checkout which seems to be what all stores are moving toward. But they have an employee watching and trouble shooting if you call it that. I raced inside one morning on my way to a meeting. I needed to grab some refreshments so I bought donuts and the mini bags of sourdough slices and spinach + artichoke dip. I had exactly 20 minutes to check out and get 5 minutes away to my meeting. No problem. At self checkout, the store failed to barcode the spinach dip. I asked the employee for help and she said there was nothing she could do and that I needed to traipse back across the store to get another spinach dip. Lovely service. As I was heading to do this, another customer asked her wild rice. The employee replied with"well, it would be in that aisle, so I guess if you didn't see it, we don't have it". Clearly this employee made zero effort to utilize collaboration and ask her colleagues to partner up and help her service customers. I will NEVER return to a Smiths again. Ridiculous service and laziness. There are plenty of other stores to get what I need. read more

This location is quite big and clean. They have a bistro there offering sandwiches and other food to go. Even a slightly bigger sushi station where workers I think from an actual sushi company making rolls to your liking. This particular store also has a Starbucks inside to your left when you walk in. Also offers a whole aisle dedicated to natural and organic snacks and food. I like that I can make my own almond butter there too. Service was ok. Saw an employee go out if his way to help a customer look for something-that was nice. My checkout person didn't look too happy, but I think she wasn't feeling well, which is understandable. Would go to this store, but I like the other location on 215/Green Valley a lot more. Parking can be tight here and it is always busy in that shopping center, so be careful driving. read more

I shop at the Smith's on Eastern because it's convenient and I use their pharmacy. With exception of Charlene and the pharmacy staff, the store is reaching a point where I don't want to walk in the door. The outside smoking section is a filthy mess. Why aren't the smokers outside the backdoor where their smoke isn't bothering the customers? This is what I witness each and every time I shop there. The produce staff standing around chatting. Watch out for the folks with the industrial size brooms. Yikes! Better stay out of their path. Panhandlers are in the trash-laden parking lot, they're inside the store, and I witness shoplifting at least once a visit. In the aisles, the social separation rules are ignored and unsupervised. Speaking of the aisles, it's not pleasant to constantly worry if a stocker's cart (which they often cannot see around or over) will run me down. The staff who load delivery carts move at top speed and go whenever they please. The cashiers, bless their overworked hearts try to be cheerful. However, working in an under supervised, dirty, chaotic environment is a nightmare existence. My latest experience with a panhandler was two weeks ago, when a man popped up in front of me without a mask, shoved a bottle of coke in my face, and asked if I'd buy it for him. When I said, NO he disappeared. When I informed the cashier, she said, well I bet he's already out the door. Perfect, I'm so happy to know the shoplifter/panhandler is safely out of the store. Sadly, this customer has the impression the store caters to petty crime, sullen, unsupervised, overworked staff, and stockers who use their carts to create roadblocks and use the aisles as a racetrack. The bakery is awesome ! Not only do we get fuel points for all of our purchases but everyone is super friendly! I had my kids end of soccer season over the weekend! I decided last minute to stop by and get some cake for the kids! They were able to write a detailed message and add a soccer ball right on the spot! I really like this location! It is so clean and well put together. I would have to say it is my favorite location to date. I love how it has such a dedication to healthy things. I like the selection of Kombucha and other healthy drinks they offer and love the vegetarian section (I used to be vegetarian and still appreciate that attention to detail from stores!) It's always a pleasurable experience shopping here. My Mom loves it when I bring her here because they have a great selection of sugar-free ice cream. :) It's quite a hike from my house, I actually pass two Smith's along the way, but that's how much I like it. Another Smiths location can put a smile on my face. Located off of Eastern and Horizon Ridge, it's easy to spot in the busy shopping area. The parking is somewhat hectic since there are so many places to shop or eat in this plaza. The store has an open feel. Its clean and organized like other Smiths stores. My regular place was out of my favorite organic items. Luckily they were fully stocked being it was on sale. The employees here are more than happy to help you find what you're looking for. The girl who helped us was so friendly and knew the store like the back of her hand. I'm so happy this location keeps their items stocked and ready. read more

The Pharmacy here is Horrible Horrible Horrible! I had a prescription sent to this location for ASTHMA medication's due to the fact I couldn't breathe. The order was sent 25 minutes before I got there. When I go to see how long it would take I was told they would get to it after their lunch which was an hour. THEY WANTED ME TO SIT AND WAIT TO BREATHE FOR A HOUR!! So, I go back to my doctor to get the paper copy of the prescription and take that to CVS across the street only to be told that Smith's pharmacy already processed my order. No lanes open but self check. No problem. I try and can't get it to run the card. The worker says cover up the upc. I look at the card and say " what's a upc?". Can you please help". Begrudging she did. She was condescending and rude. Short blond hair bob and she ran away as I was trying to read her badge without my glasses. This is why I don't go here. Based on today's experience, I would rate this store a TWO. But I've shopped here often enough to know that today's check-out experience was worse than usual. I do like their Pharmacy. Now that I no longer have insurance for prescription drugs, I have to shop around. Smith's pharmacy isn't as good as the CVS inside of Target, but it's way better than Walgreen's for those of us who are uninsured. I'm a Trader Joe's customer. I go to this Smith's when we want baked goods, as theirs is the best local grocery-store-bakery. I go to Von's in Anthem when I want a fully cooked turkey breast (which they rarely have). And I go to the Albertson's on Bicentennial when we want beer. Today, we wanted baked goods, as well as about a dozen other items, so chose Smith's. It was 12:30 on a Friday afternoon when we checked out and there was a derth of baggers working. I saw one; I don't know if there were more than one, but I do know that our lane did not have a bagger. Seriously, on a Friday?? That was okay, though, because we brought our own reusable bags and, as I told the Cashier, my husband would bag the groceries. When we finally got to her. We chose her lane because there were only two people in front of us and one was in the process of paying. The other one only had half a dozen items. But it took flippin' forever to check out. I even asked my husband, "Is she stoned?" She was SO slow, I wondered if she was stoned. We had about a dozen items. Hubby was at the end of the conveyor bagging groceries. Cashier scanned the bag of tortilla chips and then LITERALLY threw the bag to the end of the conveyor belt, toward my husband! I said "Thank you. I wanted the tortilla chips to get broken into crumbs." I paid and she handed me the receipt. I looked at it and noticed that she had not given us credit for bringing our own bags. I said "Aren't I supposed to get a nickel for each of the bags I used?" She said that I am entitled to a credit for each bag. "Did you give me credit for the two reusable bags we brought with us?" She said "No. But I will." Hubby said "Kathryn, for ten cents. Don't do that." I saw people waiting in line behind me, so I just shook my head and walked away. The other negative aspect of today's visit: I needed to buy a birthday card. The selection is pitiful, but I do recognize the fact that this is a grocery store, not a Hallmark store. Nonetheless, there wasn't a single stack labelled "Sister." Really???? As another reviewer wrote: Hubby opened a plastic bag for produce and it was torn in half! Hubby wanted to buy a sandwich, wrap or pre-made salad for his lunch but nothing looked appetizing. This review is based upon my most recent experience. I was very disappointed with the cleanliness of the store. Specifically the hot chicken and sides section. I picked up some mashed potatoes and the bottom of the container was covered in potato. The mac and cheese lid was cracked and there was bbq sauce on the tray. The bread slicer was extremely dirty as well. Also the chicken looked gross, almost like they had cheaper cuts than usual. So disappointing. My mom - a Colombian immigrant, who speaks broken English but can defend herself, was bullied by cashier ENID primarily and customer service manager AGNES. She left the flowers on her cart while her other things were getting scanned because she didn't want the flowers to get damaged. ENID apparently didn't like that or that she entered her phone number before she was done scanning. Instead of acting like a grown human being and telling my mom calmly to do whatever she preferred - she stopped scanning, crossed her arms and stared with disgust at my mom. When she asked her why she stopped and to continue, she said she didn't want to scan her stuff anymore and when asked why she just said "because". Then my mom asked for the manager. AGNES was the most disappointing part of all this, especially when she's labeled as a customer service manager, after she only whispered/talked with the cashier, brushed my mom off and told her she didn't see what was wrong. Didn't once tried to get my moms side of the story, even refused to hear her out by walking away from her. Then with a lot of confrontation in her voice when she tried to talk to her again, asked her what else she wanted.. We have gone to this Smiths for yearssss. DO NOT USE SMITH's DELIVERY service - this is the worse customer experience I have ever had. I placed an order and on the day of my designated window for delivery (during the window period) they cancelled the order and told me I would get it some time before Thursday which was 4 days later. Since this is a delivery of fresh food one would think you need to pick when you can get it. The order was locked and there was ABSOLUTELY no way to reach them to change it. I called the number out 7 times - most times they said their call volume was too high and just hung up with out a call wait. Two times I got through to someone and they hung up on me as I told them my situation and that i needed them to help. One person tried to help me and said the order was through Instacart and they have ABSOLUTELY no control over the order I would have to go through them. He gave me the number and I waited on hold for 2 hours! When I called Kroger back again the woman hung up on me. I have a $250 order pending - supposed to be delivered by 12:30 maybe - of course I can't wait for that food to arrive so I have had to got to the store - not sure if I will now have double of everything. I didn't come in to purchase ready to eat fried or baked chicken today, however I couldn't help noticing while waiting for salad deli items that their chicken were about ready to take flight! While I'm paying for my items the lady at the self check out comes and tells me we can only take one carton of eggs. Have been shopping at Smiths for a few years only because my boyfriend did. I was previously an Albertson's shopper. Recently within the last four months on 4 separate occasions we were over charged with our deli meat and cheese purchases. On each occasion we purchased Private Select brand products and were charged for Boar's Head products. After the third time, I can no longer assume it is a mistake. It is a scam and I warn all shoppers to review their deli shopped items before hitting the check outs. Unfortunately the last time, I was shopping with my sister-in-law and mother-in-law and was not paying attention to what was given to me. The pharmacist named Jenny is the rudest person I have come across in quite a while. She should not be in a position of working with the public by phone or in person. What is worse is that she is the manager over the pharmacy in Henderson Nevada on Eastern Av. The rest of the staff is great. My first bad experience was when over the phone she asked me my date of birth. I responded with "im sorry, what was that? I then heard her take a deep breath and very slowly said " What...is....your....date....of....birth? I told her than I am a little hard of hearing but that I am not stupid and was not allowing her to talk to me in that fashion. She never apologized but ask again. I then had another experience with Jenny a few weeks after when we called with a question about a prescription. Her nasty demeanor was shown again. We asked what the generic is for a medicine and her response was a simple "I dont Know". Well Jenny, your job is to know, and if you dont know, Find out. There are so many pros and cons of this Smith's and I have a love/hate relationship with this location. It's basically a total shit show 99% of the time - I have tried going at various times of the day, during the week or on the weekend and it is always SO SO busy. The parking lot is dangerous and people drive like maniacs (no fault of the store). Last time we were in there, they were out of a lot of produce, which was disappointing. The best part of this store is the deli counter and cheese selection. Although there is usually a long wait for assistance at the counter. We also buy our ground beef and chicken breasts directly from the butcher, there is the sweetest elderly woman (Elle I believe) who works there and she always puts a smile on my face. One thing I want to add is that the bathrooms could use some serious work. During a recent shopping trip, I had to go in there to change my infant's diaper and was pretty grossed out. The changing table was in the handicap stall and I hate that. The bathroom was gross and I hate being in a stall - what if someone came in who needed that stall? I've been using this as my primary grocery store for more than a year now, and I am still not 100% on board. My husband absolutely loves it, and it's close to our house, so I guess it's a necessary evil (for now). read more

The store would greatly benefit from better organization and management. If I had to describe it with a couple of words it would be sloppy and unprofessional. Deli department is the worst. It doesn't matter whether there are 2 customers or 10 (which is more often) - there is never a sense of urgency, always a great amount of talking behind the counter and very very long waits to get your order. I understand that slicing takes time, but if there were no chat between staff that doubles your waiting time, they wouldn't have frustrated customers on the other side of the counter. They had so many boxes waiting for me today August 24 th and they got a rolling dolly to place all the boxes in and even placed the boxes in my car . That's what I call excellent service ! Produce is disgusting. There were several vegetables I had to just skip. According to the staf, there was nothing else. There should at least be a discount for wrotting vegetables. I normally do not write reviews. This is an exception. I went in April 3, 2022 to shop at Smith's at 10616 S Eastern Avenue in Henderson, NV. Visited men's room first. Observed store employee come out of toilet stall and exit without washing his hands, even though signs are posted that require every employee wash their hands. Observed same employee enter double doors behind deli dept. I asked to speak to a Manager, because I would want to know about that, if I was running the store. As I was standing by the deli area, a young man behind the counter who was wearing a mask asked me if I needed help. He looked like the individual who was in the men's room. I asked him if that was him, and he said no. I asked him to remove his mask, and he declined. He then told me to get the f*** out of the store, just as the female manager arrived. She heard this and immediately handed me off to Tony Tillman, another "Manager". He asked me to write down what had happened, so I did this, in detail. I told him we had shopped at that store regularly, since we moved to the area in 2020, and love Edgar in the Deli Dept., but I would not be doing business there that day, based on what happened. He admitted that they had issues with the young man behind the counter before, whose name is Kyle: Caucasian, early 20's, 6'0"-6'1", dark curly hair, wears glasses. Tony called me back once with no resolution. I subsequently, reached out to the Store Manager twice. My calls were not returned. It became clear that the issues at this store start at the top, and they just swept this incident under the rug. Extremely disappointing experience.
