We have been going to this place for years now and today was the last day we will ever go back to this place. The owner just does not want to work, no patience and horrible customer service! He treated my 17-year-old son like he is nothing when he went there for his first smog check! My son has a Jeep Wrangler which is louder than a normal car (High School Student)! No other modifications whatsoever. Not only he was treated like a 2nd class citizen, but he was also misled to pay more ($55) just because he had a loud car. He had rudely even told my son; The Car will FAIL. Luckily my son was smart enough not to fall for the owner's misleading and rude approach and he called me to check and eventually left. We immediately went to Aliso SMOG Check on Aliso Creek, which was less wait, excellent customer service and even a better price! By the way the car passed with flying colors and no issues! It is a shame how people's attitude who think customer service is not important or think belittling younger people is the way to go! I needed to do smog check on my car so I did a search online and found some coupons. Then I checked out these places on Yelp to see what others are saying about them. Smog Express was the highest reviewed. Please note that their coupon is for cash payment only! I went there at 9 in the morning and the friendly gentleman let me know to wait in the car for a few minutes for he was finishing up for one customer. Once that customer leaves, I could pull in to his spot to get serviced. Soon as I drove in to get serviced, a friendly lady came to me to get the mileage of the car and let me know to leave the keys in the car and let me know that the coupon is for cash payments. The whole service took less than 30 minutes. I was in and out quickly. I loved their friendly, quick, and reasonable priced service. read more

Man has horrible attitude!! Went in and had the four kids in my car to get smog checked. I went in and asked his wife " how long is this going to take? Not because I'm trying to cut in line, or rushing anyone but because I have my four kids in the car so I'm just curious for timing.. I'm going to take my kids across the street while it's getting done." The lady totally understood why I was asking so she was just checking to see how many cars were going so she could give me a good ballpark on timing. She confirmed something with her husband and her husband snapped back at us. "I'm going to pull my hair out, everyone is going to be seen as they came in" I said I understood and I wasn't trying to cut or rush I was just trying to get a ballpark for timing because I have 4 kids in the car and wanted to keep them away and go to the gas station/cafe right by the business. I continue to talk to the lady- assuming his wife and let her know where I parked in my car in the express smog parking spot and then I started walking to my car after me and the wife were on the same page, and the miserable man started talking to his other male clients waiting for his car saying "I don't care how many kids she has she needs to wait" I walked to my car and realized I was done giving him my business for probably 7 years now. I told the wife I wouldn't be coming back and the man had to come in and talk and say "we understand" I said "no your not understanding that's why I'm refusing to come back after 7 years" and I left. I went down the street and got my smog checked within 30 minutes and they did a great job. Like I've said before I've gone to this place for years, he has never been extremely friendly, but he's also never been rude so I don't really care he got the job done. He has been snappy at the lady from time to time, but I try to just stay in my lane and get a service done and definitely don't try to leave bad reviews but this "man" seems very miserable and talks about customers to other customers. For pete sake I was trying to keep my kids away from the establishment out of respect and understanding to HIS business knowing it's not a place for kids and didn't want them in his shop. Every time I come they have given me a coupon and one for the next time I come too. It is ran by a husband and wife and the wife gave me an additional $3 off just to be nice. She is such a sweetheart. The service is always done fairly quickly and it's a very fair price. They are both very nice people.
