I needed a smog for my diesel VW. I read the reviews on this place and headed over. When I arrived, the DMV site was down. This means that the smog process cannot go through. I imagine this is probably pretty frustrating for a business that relies on the DMV to run their business. Todd did not come across as angry to me. I gave him my phone number and told him I would mill around in the surrounding area and requested that he contact me when he could do the smog. About 45 minutes later he called! I'm guilty of thinking this place looked a little sketchy at first. I had to do a smog last minute, trying to help a friend get things taken care of for her. This place was one of the few places that was open and available on a Saturday afternoon. I drove up, was greeted With great customer service. it was really a fast experience. Told him what was happening with having to help My Friend and trying to get her registration done, guided me on the best way to do it and where to go to finalize everything without going to the DMV. This was the fastest smog I've ever had......sure it's a bit more than some places advertise, but I got things done really fast, and there was not a person in sight trying to upsell me on something that isn't wrong with my car, but insists on taking me for a $500 dollar fool. It's Saturday August 24, 2024 at about 2:00pm. Pulled in, no waiting. I've been coming to this place for many years. The business had changed over the years but the service remains outstanding. I paid $24.00 for my gas suv. There is an extra charge of $1.00 should you use your debit card or charge card. They do report to the dmv. The service is good, the place is clean and the tech is friendly and helpful. They only do smog checks on cars and diesel vehicles. They don't do any other type of service. read more

This place was easy to find, and I called on the phone before heading in requesting a smog test. The man on the phone assured me it would only take about 20 minutes. When I got there, I had to wait maybe five minutes before I was seen. They had me in and out of there within 10 minutes which was great. I highly recommend this place for anyone needing a smog test. I'm new to diesel smog tests so I was unaware of the fact that all smog testing locations aren't created equal in that they don't offer diesel service. After calling around and finding this fine establishment, I took my truck there. I immediately found that they were very friendly. The place doesn't look like much but the owners are great. In fact, the first thing they did was check to make sure I really had to get the smog test, which they found was needed, but I was quite impressed that there first instinct was to save me money at their loss. I pulled up an and a guy that was in front of the smog building slowly walked up to me. I wasn't sure if he was an employee or homeless man. i asked is your diesel smog up and working? It's hard to find a good smog place that does diesel smogs. This place was the right price and it didn't take very long at all!! I forgot to take the truck to do the smog earlier in the day, when I had more time but when it hit me I had an hour to get there and back to my side of town for another appointment So, I rushed down to IQ and good thing there was no one ahead of me. So, I was able to pull right in. The guy went straight to work and got the smog and my registration completed in like less then 20 min,Wow! He was friendly and didn't wast any time. I paid and made it to my other appointment with plenty of time to spare. The only thing I didn't like is that there was no phone number that connected me when I was trying to call before I got there. This is the closest smog spot for me- exterior isn't anything fancy, and no one was here when I walked up. Check in the adjacent gas station convenience store and someone will be right out... There are posted notices about a discount for using cash, but no posted prices? The employee who helped me was friendly, but a bit odd. He rather discretely whispered to me that he was going to charge me $20- which was the regular price printed on the form, so I'm not sure what the deal was there. Not the best area. A homeless guy was standing around telling me I was pretty and making me extremely uncomfortable before the Smog guy shooed him off. Over and done with in under 5 minutes though, and he gave me some helpful tips about registering my car. read more

Was due for a smog check so I went to this place since it's about 5 minutes from my house. I pull in at around 3:30 and am the only one there. The whole process took about 5 minutes, the quickest smog I've ever gotten! I paid $20 total. They offer registration renewal as well via mail for $10 more which I think is convenient as well and saved people trips. Overall, will definitely come back here again! read more

Never again. The crusty, meth-mouthed guy working was obnoxious from the moment. (HOW IS HE ALLOWED TO LOOK AND ACT THIS WAY?) I told him I had a $9.99 coupon from Purrfect Auto and he sneered and flat just said we don't take those "AT ALL". I pointed out the sign that says they accept most competitor coupons and he got all annoyed and ranted about how it doesn't apply to newspaper coupons, or anything except direct mailers (so... Not "most" .. not even "many"). He then told me $20 is a great price for a smog check. AAAHAHAHAHAHHA WHAT?! $20 is above average! I told him I have a coupon for a smog check for half that price and he threw up his arms and said "Well, go there then! Take your car there! They're going to try to upsell you on everything!! *rant*" I'm now sitting in the (air conditioned) USA Auto Service waiting room, where smog checks are $10, even without a coupon. The guy inspected my car, let me know what could use service, which I politely declined, and I'm on my way for $9.99. Get rid of the tweeker, if he's not the owner... I have been doing business for many years with this company the owners are amazing and very nice but the manager is on crack or meth, I had to call the police on him today because he would not let me leave. I asked for my car to be registered he refused to do the registration because it was two from being expired so I told him I don't need his smog. He started yelling and screaming at me I asked him to call the owners he refused. I tried to avoid him went to the gas station asked if they had the owners phone number they did not he came in the gas station stood there and yelled at me I went back to my car and the manager put blocks behind my tire so I cannot leave so I remembered the block he did it again then told my if I remove them again he will break my fingers. I called the police. He continues to yell at me I was scared for my life he sat in back of my car and wouldn't move. This person is ruining their business. Went here last year for my smog test and the couple that worked here were the nicest people ever. Gave me a bottle of water and were so kind!Drove 20 miles this year to give them my return business. I pulled in and asked the skinny middle aged man which spot to pull into for my service. He pointed and said, " pull up you stupid mother fucker." I couldn't believe my ears. Then he screamed, " Leave it running and GET OUT!! I got out and gave him a piece of my my mind. He then yelled, " Get your white honky ass out of here."
