Never again. I had the 17-point service which includes "Check & Top Off** Radiator Coolant" and "Reset Oil Light and Check all Exterior Lighting." - they did neither. Coolant: I was sitting in heavy traffic when my car overheated and pegged out the red line. It showed a message to turn the engine off to prevent damage, and check the coolant. WRT lights: they didn't reset the oil change light so I had to go somewhere else to get it reset. And they didn't check the exterior lighting; on the way home a message showed on my dashboard that one of my taillights was out. read more

I went last week Wednesday 5/20 for an oil change. Drove my car to work for 7miles Thursday , Coolant was leaking badly. They told me they have nothing to do with it. Get it fixed paid $900+. It was fixed Friday night. Did not used it until Saturday night, drove it to buy some food. While I was entering the freeway. It went to limp mode, no engine power. I got stranded in the freeway with my 8months baby. They didn't put back together my throttle body and air intake assembly. My mom recently came here for service, trusting that it was an honest place of business. Unfortunately, she was massively overcharged for parts. Specifically, she was charged $57 each ($342 for 6) for NGK Laser Iridium spark plugs (part #4904). These exact plugs are listed on NGK's official website for $11.50 each. That's nearly a 500% markup. When I called to ask about it, the response I got was that they are "honest" because they showed my mom the total cost and she signed it. The problem is, like many customers (especially seniors), she didn't know the fair price of spark plugs. She has been coming here for years and trusted the shop to be fair. When I raised the concern that seniors might be taken advantage of, the employee dismissed it and said "that's the same price everyone gets." In other words, everyone is overcharged. I understand that businesses need to make a profit, but there's a big difference between a reasonable markup and this kind of overcharging. This might be "good for business," but it's definitely bad for customers. Potential customers, beware of inflated parts pricing here. With around 200,000 miles on the car, I expected the oil service to cost about $57. The service was quick for my Honda Accord 2012 Lx model. Technican asked me to change Engine Air filter and Cabinet Air filter. He said there there will be no labour charge for Engine Air filter and Cabinet filter Fix. But Cabinet filter and Engine Air filter are charged $88 and $44. Total was $132. They have charged more than triple MRP of Honda geneuine parts for those filters. I will NOT suggest any one to go to SpeeDee !! So much over priced, looks to me that service/parts more costlier than even Honda Service center!! read more

I have been coming here for a number of years for oil changes, and I've always had positive results. Like other oil change places, they always offer additional service (some people call them upsells), but I usually politely decline, and accept it as a nice reminder that I need to go buy an air filter and change it myself. I'm sure cheaper pricing can be found, but this place is close to my house, opens early (which is when I like to take care of these chores), and has not let me down. As i mentioned to his boss and his boss showed me attitude instead of find any solution he put back stripped bolt and saying It is okay. That is not professional work. Allocate enough time to handle any issues that may arise with them. here's my experience: I went in with a high-pressure fuel pump issue and specifically requested an authentic dealer part (not OEM). They charged me $150 more than the dealer's price but installed a no-name part, which failed on the first day after delivery. I ended up paying the dealer $320 to confirm the part was faulty and aftermarket. When I raised the issue, the mechanic & manager responded with, "You wouldn't have known if it was working." This completely shattered my trust in them. I had to return every day for weeks to convince them the part was defective. After much frustration and stress, they finally agreed to replace it with a dealer part. When I asked for compensation for the inconvenience, they gave me a $123 discount, and the manager coldly suggested to deal with court if I want to. I couldn't handle it any longer and reluctantly accepted the $123. The experience was further aggravated by their laughter while I was trying to resolve the issue with them. As soon as I pulled up , got greeted and told what I needed to get done. They were very transparent with the prices and services being offered. The had great suggestions. This was my first time to this SpeeDee location, I'd been to one in Cupertino before for oil change and that experience was good, but this was completely different experience. At this location, I stopped by for oil change and the mechanic started advising a lot of things and for highly unreasonable prices. He suggested that I should get my brake and radiator fluids changed and he'll do it for some $50 discount and it's about $700-800. I was very skeptic because my car had no issue and honestly I don't trust my first time mechanic to suggest me services that I wouldn't have expected. I didn't take other services. After driving another 3000 miles I stopped by Meinke services and asked them to inspect the whole car for suggested services. And they found no issue with any fluids. I went to get my oil changed today at SpeeDee for the first time today. I was pleased that they were friendly and had a nice comfortable waiting room for customers while their car is being serviced. The wait time was about an hour with one or two cars in front of mine in the lane queue. I also had a coupon that saved me $10 off my total. After paying, I went out to retrieve my car. As I got in and looked at the floor of the front and back I noticed that they had not been vacuumed as they advertise is included in the oil change package. I was extremely disappointed. Not only did they not do it, but they marked the task as "completed" on the work list. I pay a lot to get the oil changed in my car because I to upgrade to high mileage due to my car being over 300,000 miles and I use her to commute far distances a lot. It isn't cheap! It would be nice if all the tasks that are supposed to (and are claimed to) be completed are actually completed. Has anyone else had this issue?? I feel played. Would I return for my next oil change? Engine Air Filter - 39.99, iffy since it's a $10 piece, but labor is understandable. Cabin Air Filter - 79.99. WTF? The part alone is about $10 at walmart. it's a complete rip off and overpriced. Maintenance itself takes less than5 minutes to do, which brings me to another point. the service all in all took about an hour. there were multiple work lanes open with multiple mechanics working on both. my car was the first and only one at my lane. what was the holdup? Big warning! Never come here if you are smart. Look at every single 1-star reviews, they are all true. We just experienced it this morning with the oil change service here. Absolutely horrendous and they completely ripped us off. We decided to come over because we didn't have time to make an appointment with my mechanics and thinking of just stopping by this place for convenience. It was just a simple oil change, but they charged us $60 labor and the total fee comes up to $110+, after we asked for the $10 off. The supervisor or manager had a terribly rude attitude. Before we had the oil change, we said the quoted price was too high, he immediately asked us to go elsewhere. He also gave a lot of BS about how expensive is the synthetic oil , so that they can Jack up the price. He also charged us $16 for an engine oil cap, where other places usually charge $6. For smog test, they are charging $75 + $8 (certificate), but if you go to Smog Check Plus for example, only have to pay $48. If you do a simple research, this place charges almost double of Jiffy Lube or Midas, but with terrible service attitude. We will never come back again. read more

I came in this place for an oil change the same way i have for the past couple years but never have i had an experience like this. At first i was not allowed into the space to pull my truck in nor to sit in the lobby to get my truck worked on. The service was completely horrible. They did my oil change in under 7 mins and just sent me off however my computer was not reset and it still showed that my engine life was at 0% and my change oil light came on less than 8 hours after getting my oil changed. Not only was i was over charged but i did not get the same service that i have recieved every time ive come here. Upon returning to have my computer reset the unprofessional thing's continued. As i am a black man i asked if i received service like this due to my race and to counter that i was called a rascist because they are asian even though i am the one who's spent my hard earned money at their place of business. Just got a oil change this morning for my Civic and I even brought my own oil and filter and they still charged me $55 for a simple 10 minute labor. It use to be $39.95 then a year ago it went up to $49.95 and today they charge me $55 without telling me the price went up again. Didn't find out until I had to pay. There's a new manager or supervisor and the guy is rude asf and said go somewhere else from now on which is what I'm going to do. If he's the new manager this place will shut down in no time with a attitude like his. Most other places charge between $29.95-$39.95 plus they'll give you a discount if you bring your own oil. This crappy place actually charges you extra if you bring your own oil/filter. It's actually cheaper to go to a Honda dealership to get an oil change, it's $69.95 with full synthetic oil. You know this place is a complete rip off when it's cheaper at the dealership. I commute a lot and come here for an oil change every 2-3 months since it is close by but after today's experience they lost my business for life. I bring my wife's car here also for oil changes and in the last 3 years i probably spent about $2000 here just in oil changes. As a business owner myself i could care less about the $5, i would and do give my repeat customers a 25% discount. They could of been professional and said "ohhh since we didn't let you know the price has increased, we'll knock off the $5 this time". They would of had me as a repeat customer and make several thousands more in the long run, but instead they choose to be rude and disrespectful. There are plenty of other places where I can get a much better price that's only a extra 5 minute drive further. I recently purchased a red 1986 E30 and needed a routine oil change. Prior to arriving to this location, I already had a good idea on what was good and what needs attention. The Tech evaluated the condition of my vehicle and after discussing the issues with the Mario ( I believe it was ). I began to feel comfortable and confident in his evaluation and really felt like he was there to help rather than to up sell unnecessary upgrades. There's a small leak and the Tech advised that it shouldn't be a major issue but to come back after pressure washing the vehicle to address and fix the problem. ( We'll see how big or small this leak is next time around ) Overall, very happy with the time and customer service. read more

We have been coming to this SpeeDee Oil change shop for years and considered them to be fast and reliable until today. We went in for an oil change and the mechanic notified us we also needed a radiator flush. We agreed to both services and sat in the waiting room. After 1 hour passed and many other customers coming and going We noticed no one was working on our car. My husband went outside to find out why The mechanic said they ran out of coolant and are waiting for the delivery. Mind you no one bothered to tell us there would be a delay until we went looking for the mechanic. The manager was quite rude when questioned what was happening. No customer service skills at all! It took another hour for product to arrive and our service to be completed and was told it would only take 15 minutes to arrive. The manager was upset with my husband because he was complaining loudly in the office and told us we could take our business else where. It was impossible to do that since our car did not have enough coolant at the time. The manager did double our coupon but at this point we decided we will never return to this shop.
