Brand new tires from Big O., they don't even bother to clean. After spending $500 for 2 front tires. At the Milpitas Bog O Sept. 10, 2025

The worst I've ever been to. No more of this Tire Store for me and my family. Paid $500. + for 2 tires and Alignment. Waited 4 hours and this is what I got. Brand New Tired that are so filthy. Showed it to Salesperson, his excuse, that I was in a hurry, no time to clean... i was there for 4 hours Bye filthy Big O,...... no more of you

Unlatched airbox... sucking dirt and sounding like an aftermarket intake...

Complete incompetence and carelessness is the only way to describe this shop. I had bought 4 new tires a few months back and scheduled an appointment to have them rotated. Let's go down the list of their mistakes. 1) when I went to leave I had to go back and ask for my wheel lock key... technician had left it on the toolbox in the shop 2) they tried to call and sell me coolant exchange and spark plugs... these services were not due per the owners manual 3) did not set the tire pressure upon rotation and I had a low pressure indication on the way to work. My car has ABS based TPMS so I had to reset the system, then fill the tires to factory settings when reset again. 4) engine was making a funny noise like the car had an aftermarket intake. I pulled over and popped the hood. They had checked the engine air filter (probably to try and upsell me) but didn't latch the air box after resulting in loud intake sounds like the car had an aftermarket intake. I latched it myself and went on my way. Images attached of air box left open... This is the worst experience I had ever had with a shop in my 23 years of driving and taking care of cars. Avoid this shop at all costs.

Ask the Community - Big O Tires

Does this Big O honor Pacific Tire Outlet tire rotation?

They said they would. But they don't. I purchased two new tires and they did not rotate my two other tires that were 8 Months old, but they said they did. I had marked them so I knew they did not rotate. If you want to go to a tire store and have…

BEWARE -- DO NOT GO HERE!!…read more Horrible customer service, questionable diagnosis, and a very disappointing experience from start to finish. We took our work van to Stress Free Auto Care after finding them on Yelp. They were close to home and, more importantly, veteran-owned. As a company that supports veteran nonprofits, we were excited to support another veteran-owned business--even though their pricing was higher than other shops we considered. Our van had been having issues starting and randomly shutting off. They quickly diagnosed it and sent us an estimate for around $1,200, which we approved. We were told it would be ready by the end of the day and picked it up the following morning. The very next day, the van broke down multiple times on the freeway, nearly causing accidents. This was extremely dangerous and terrifying. We immediately contacted the shop and were told to bring it back. We had to leave the van at a jobsite and figure out how to get it back to San Jose, which created even more stress and disruption to our business. We dropped it off in the morning and heard nothing all day. The next morning, we had to follow up ourselves, only to be told they were still running diagnostics. We were then told there was now another issue that would cost even more to repair. If the original diagnosis was incorrect, I expected the shop to take some responsibility and offer a reasonable solution. Instead, the resolution offered was a "free" diagnostic--which is essentially already credited toward service anyway. There was no real effort to make things right, no empathy for the situation, and no meaningful resolution. We were basically told we could come pick up the van. Business owner to business owner: this is not how you take care of customers. When a customer spends over $1,200 based on your diagnosis and their vehicle breaks down immediately afterward, leaving them with a dangerous, non-operational work vehicle, you should be doing everything possible to make it right. This entire experience has been incredibly STRESSFUL. STRESS FREE AUTO CARE?! Yeah, right. Take your business elsewhere.

I only brought a $5 coupon that they had mailed to me. What I did not appreciate was the employee's attitude when I asked about the coupon. Instead of simply explaining it professionally, he responded in a rude and condescending way, as if customers are supposed to understand how their internal pricing system works. Another issue was that nobody asked me what type of oil I wanted. I later noticed they used conventional oil, even though I normally use synthetic oil in my vehicles. Customers should always be asked before that decision is made. On a previous visit with my 2026 Hyundai Palisade, they also told me they could not reset the maintenance reminder because their system computer only worked up to 2020 models, even though the reset process is very simple and can easily be found online. The oil change itself was done, but the communication, professionalism, and customer service were disappointing. Unfortunately, my experience with the front desk employee, Tony, was completely different. I asked him a simple and polite question: "Can I please get an update on my car?" I had already been waiting for almost an hour. His response was, "Oh, I don't know," and then he simply walked away. It wasn't just the words he used, but the tone and dismissive attitude behind them. It came across as though I was bothering him and that he simply wanted me to go away. I asked again if he could possibly get an update, and he responded, "NO." Another employee overheard the interaction, came over, and asked which car was mine. After checking, he immediately told me, "Oh, okay, it's almost done. About 10 minutes." That's all I was asking for--a simple update. Good customer service doesn't require much in a situation like this. A polite response and a little communication can make a big difference in a customer's experience. The front desk/waiting area was not busy, which made the dismissive attitude even more disappointing. In my opinion, someone who speaks to customers this way should not be working in a customer-facing role. Again, the employees who actually worked on my car were great. My issue is specifically with the front desk experience and the way I was treated by, Tony.

Today that same tire I got repaired almost two years ago had a problem, and they repaired it no charge. I'll come back if I have a problem with that, but based on my experience, it'll be fine just like everything else they've done for us in the past couple of decades. They are human beings, so nobody is perfect. But this place is about as close as it gets. Just give them a break if it doesn't look like it, they may be having a bad day that one day you visited.

The employee said that it was never fixed from the previous flat and caused a slow leak that eventually caused the flat that had occurred last Thursday. We had to spend another $400 to get that rim on the tire repaired and borrow a tire so we could drive home safely while we wait for the repair. Theft, negligence, incompetence, poor customer service, poor management, lack of leadership, lack of responsibility, lack of pride and ownership of work. From how I've been treated by the cashiers all the way up to corporate is all a reflection of the entire company's values and mission. And it stinks. My family's safety was at risk because their employees failed to not only do their jobs properly, but took the opportunity to take advantage of their customers due to the poor operation of their store. And they continue to fail to take responsibility and make it right. No, I know for a fact the tow truck company did not steal our stuff. My husband rode in the tow truck as our van was towed to this location. It's not even about the theft anymore, it's about failing to provide satisfactory (let alone adequate) service that I paid for! I know it is such a huge ask to expect a company to make things right after they messed up so demonstrably in every way possible, let alone expect a tire company to (gasp) actually fix a tire properly. Get it together, Wheelworks and make things right.
