What a wonderful smog station! DMV approved Test Only Station, one of the lowest prices in the County. The gentleman running the place is extremely nice. I was in an out in under 20 minutes. He has a coupon running in The PennySaver and shows it on his website. He is located BEHIND the building that faces Marguerite. He usually puts a sign out street-side to identify the proper driveway. I decided to try out Smog Simple because the reviews were great, and it's located just down the street from me. It was a little difficult to find (it's all the way around the back of the building) but once I was there, I was very happy with the service. It was very quick and completely stress-free. No questions, no complications. I got there around 1:00pm on a Friday, with one person ahead of me, and was out by 1:30. The owner is very friendly and honest as well. I had printed out a coupon from the website. Apparently it was originally a Pennysaver coupon but since Pennysaver closed, the Smog Simple owner decided to honor it anyway, for anyone who brings in the coupon. He said that he noted the coupon in his system so I can get that price for life! It was $45 total- $37 for the check, plus $8 for the certificate. He also briefly reviewed the paperwork with me, showing that I passed, and letting me know exactly what part I needed to send to the DMV with the payment (and he noted that the payment could be online or through AAA if I had a membership). He didn't need to tell me any of that so I really appreciated the extra effort- most places just do the job and send you on your way- they don't actually care and want to make your life easier! I will definitely be back the next time I need a smog check, and recommend this place to anyone. read more

The Asian man at first seemed angry when I came in and asked about the smog check, but after he got done with that car he was working with and got to me he cheered up a bit and apologized. I used to go other smog check station but I had a very bad experience with that station and I changed to this station. One of the smog check station near my home refused to test my car, only because my car was using some parts which is "after market (I choose it because after market parts are usually cheap)". Some time these after market parts add some extra work for smog check station (for example, look into parts number, name, type etc in the book, web site etc.) When I came to this station first time, he didn't care such an extra work at all and did his job willingly for me. Took Our 1998 Rodeo here to get it smoged. The tech was friendly and the process was quick. Shop was extremely clean as far as garages go and they had a little are for customers to wait with a TV. The whole process took maybe 15 minutes. My only gripe, and this is with the owner not the tech. Why is a SUV/Truck $10 more? You don't need any other special equipment, if anything doing a smog check on a SUV or a Truck is easier and should be cheaper. SUV's and Truck have a higher ground clearance so it is easier to see underneath them to check for the exhaust/ emission controls. So I ask the owner, WHY is an SUV or TRUCK more expensive? It's just an easy way to take advantage of consumers who are required by law to use businesses like this. read more
