I've been coming here for years. Usually the owner is professional but his techs have no customer service whatsoever. My most recent visit on 4/8/22 may be my last. I was the first one in that day. When I walked in the tech just walked out into the smog area and didn't even acknowledge me. After he turned all the equipment on he came back inside. Still no hello or how can I help you. After a minute of me standing there, he said "drivers license". So I approached the desk and gave him my info. After he signed me in, he just handed me my paperwork and said "keys?". I've brought my two vehicles to this location at least 3 times, maybe 4 in the last 3 years. Service was always quick. I've seen different technicians in every visit, but they were all friendly and provided quick service. If it's crowded, expect to wait up to an hour, but I've always come when the crowd came after me, arrived early or after lunch. It's hit and miss, but I'm sure if you call, they'll let you know the wait times. I have not experienced a SMOG fail, so I cannot answer to how they handle these situations. I called in ahead of time and they took time to tell me the best times to come in and how long the check would take. I followed their advice which saved me lots of time. The process was super easy, I brought in my DMV notice and that was all I needed. Well I came off here from the yelp reviews and also a friends review. It really took no less than 10 min. They send your smog cert electronically to the dmv and all you do is pay your fees. They pull your car up front and boom you are done. Since it's been like 12 years since I actually had a smog done this new way is so awesome. The first time I went to this place, it was due to my regular smog not having the equipment to smog an older car. The gentleman was very friendly & gave me information the DMV did not give about the transfer of ownership between a deceased parent and next of kin only child. I was appreciative so I tried to get another vehicle smogged & transferred. Each time I have arrived it's not been at noon, but I am asked to come back in the afternoon after all the staff has returned from lunch since my smog will take 1/2 hour. This has been three different times. My issue isn't that I can't accommodate staff, but they don't have appointments so why am I being asked to accommodate their convenience? I am not getting smogged because I don't have anything better to do and I have a deadline with the DMV so I can't really afford to wait until the staff is convenienced. Today, Friday, I came in before noon and was asked if I could come back on Saturday around 11:00 am. Well, Saturdays aren't just busy for them, but it's one day I can get most errands done. The times I arrive, it's not been busy so I don't know why the staff (same person) doesn't simply do the smog & send me on my way. Or, make an appointment. read more

I came in on Saturday at about 4:30p.m and right away a sour faced worker came in from the garage, looked me in the eye , didn't acknowledge me at all, except to say , "No, not today!" He had just finished up with the only other customer there. I felt that he was very rude and I will not go to this business again and I will tell my friends not to go there either. Incompetent. Tried to claim that my vehicle needed a new engine because of 'smoke from the tail pipe'. Tech swore that he was positive the piston rings were worn because 'the exhaust is smoking'. Turns out the 'smoke from the exhaust' was a piece of plastic bag stuck to the tailpipe. I would avoid this particular station unless you do not value your time and want someone to lie to you about your vehicle. read more

There were 5 people waiting, and at an estimated 15 minute minimum each, that's an hour 15 min wait.
