Every two years once the car is 5 years old in Cali. And all my cars are over five years old now. Granted everything is stock so no issues. No wheel dyno - pre 99 I think - which is a total paid if you need that. So fun.

I unexpectedly, at the 11th hour, found I needed smog test. I'd been here before with good results so I thought I'd try again. I rolled right in and was lucky to have no one ahead of me. My technician, AJ was quite friendly and the whole thing took about 15 minutes or so with a pass and at a reasonable cost. Thank you AJ & Smog Time. See ya again in 2 years!

Congratulations, you ripped off a little girl. My daughter brought her 2017 Civic these clowns and they charged her $64.75 for a smog cert without any repairs needed. It shouldn't be more than $35 on the high end. Creeps - Avoid them!

Love this place! This is the only place I go for a certified smog test. I've never had to wait long and the service is great. The smog test is entered for the DMV as soon as the smog check is complete. There are coupons available online so make sure to look before you go. read more

Quick, nice and professional. They had my truck done in 15 minutes. They do charge an additional $10 for trucks, 8.25 for DMV fee and $5 for transmission fee on top of the yelp discount so keep that in mind. Still worth it and a great price! Will be back for sure. read more

DON'T TRUST THE POSITIVE REVIEWS ON HERE. Don't come here if you have a car older than 2000 because they will try to say that your car is older so they will charge MORE and their computer doesn't respond well with older cars! They sent me down the street to their other location after 4 different times trying to pass my car smh waste of time and he told me to drive my car around for 50 miles which I DID and he kept saying it's not ready! Waste of gas! It shouldn't be this difficult to pass! It seems like if you come in with Groupon or coupon, they will try to make it same price.. this place played me. I'm so mad I can't even write this review in detail because what happened is so confusing and it's a shame how many excuses they made. Just be honest... MUST READ THE REVIEWS BEFOREHAND. My experience was very unpleasant. I just stopped by the shop for a quick smog check after work. Time is very precious that is why I look at yelp to find a quick and convenient shop close by home. My mistake, I did not look through the reviews thoroughly. Before I come to the shop, I discovered that they are offering a "$29.75 for Smog Check 2000 & Newer" coupon through yelp. Lazim helped me throughout the service. After he pulled my car in and processed the necessary paperworks, he asked me to sign on the bill. And I mentioned to Lazim the offer on yelp that the shop is offering and he told me to give them a review while waiting for the vehicle to be smogged. I said okay to acknowledge his request, but I was thinking that how can I provide a review if the service is not completed. After he done with my vehicle, he called me over and asked me if I was done with the review. I told him no, then he ask me to write a review because the owner want to have an instant review because I use the deal on yelp. Then I sat down and tried to compose a review. Couple minutes went by, he called me over to ask if I was done and criticized me for being too slow. I felt uncomfortable writing an honest review there so I gave them an decent review on spot just to get it done. Later on, I felt that the review that I gave them was not accurate so I took it down and updated it so the reviewers can be accurately informed. Viewers must be aware of their Yelp's deals. read more

Messaged them online to do an unofficial appointment. Arrived and was greater by AJ. He was very nice and we chatted for ten minutes while he competed the test on the car. Johnny was so helpful and friendly! From the moment we walked in he acknowledged us and told us he would be right with us . Johnny then checked his computer to make sure my car was ready for smog. Although it was not ready because one of the lights was red he told me not to worry and that I needed to drive my car around some more and that this should clear the issue. I came back and my car passed the smog just as he said. I am extremely satisfied with his customer service and professionalism. I was in and out in no time. I will definitely be coming back for all my future smog tests and will be recommending him to all my family and friends. Thank you Johny! read more

I found this place using Groupon so I got a great deal. Went in on a Saturday and there was only one person in front of me and they were just finishing up their inspection. STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS Absolutely the worse business experience I have ever had with an automotive service provider ... I drove up the building the first time to find the attendant sleeping with his feet on the desk. It was in early April and in the early stages of Covid-19. He was rude, and looked very unprofessional, but they were the only smog business open at that time and on Saturday, so I moved forward. No gloves, no seat protector and I had to remind him to put his mask on.. he tested the vehicle and it failed and needed some thing repaired with the fuel injection doohickey. I paid him $49.75 and had a 90 day window to repair the vehicle and return for the certificate. Lock-down, business closures and other C-19 issues, I did not get the repair completed until the middle of July. I want back to this facility and explained I could not get the vehicle fixed until mid July and would like to have the certificate for $8.95 sent to the DMV. He laughed at me and said I was beyond the 90 day window and would need to charge me another $59. I could not believe it and told him so, he responded with "you can go to another shop" .. what a heartless and stupid response. I did go to another shop and got it done... This guy/business gives all small hard working businesses and very bad name... Stay away from these idiots.. read more

He was rude, dismissive, and demeaning. My elderly mother had a question and the workers directed her to their manager - Peter - who was outside smoking a cigarette near the gas station (a whole other safety/legal issue). My mom approached Peter and he claimed he was not the manager and could not answer her question. My mom went back to the mechanics and 2 of them reassured her Peter is the manager. Peter again claimed to not be the manager and when she asked him for a business card, he gave her one with his name listed as the manager. I dont know why someone would play games like this gaslighting an elderly woman. What do you get out of being a jerk Peter? I'm sad to say this felt like discrimination against an elderly woman. I live about 30 miles away but I come to Urgent Auto Care because they are honest, trustworthy, friendly, and most of all, they will give you the run down on the issue and offer options for you to decide on what you want to do with great pricing. I often come here for things the dealer wants me to change and repair and Sean will let me know what is more of a priority than other items, or the dealer reported items, that is not as bad as the dealer made it sound like and that I have some times before I really need to think about changing or repair. Sean had consistently proved to me that he will be honest on what you need and not on what he can earn from you. After so many years, my wife and two kids now also take their car to Sean at Urgent Auto Care.

However , my recent visit(12/20/25) has changed my view on them . Their smog tech's knowledge is lacking . My car's catalytic converter was stolen last year . We purchased all parts from the dealer and had them installed by a local reputable muffler location . ( catalytic converter , oem flange , oxygen sensor , gaskets , upper and lower shields misc hardware). We added a miller cat shield to protect it.. I brought him my car for a smog. He told me everything lookred good, except the visual? I said why? He told me that the catalytic converter was the incorrect one. I told him it was the OEM part from the Manfacture. He disagreeed. I told him i had the reciept from the dealer where the parts were purchased. He told me he wasn't going to charge me but to bring it back the car with the documentation. No failed docuemntation was handed to me . I printed all records from the online dealer purchase and returend. I was greated by a different smog tech. I told him that the previous tech told me to come back to smog the car. He reviewed the car and told me the car had failed. I was confused as the first tech didn't not say anyting about failing the car. I told the new tech that i had brought it this location. He asked for the documentation. I told him the gentlemen that reviewed the car told me he was not going charge and not docuemenation was issued. I told him that if the tech failed it you smog system should have a record. He goes and looks up the car to see who pefromed the test and found it was the smog station they run. He printed out the failed report The new techc said, come back when he is here as i don't why he failed it. I asked him when the tech will be back? He stated in 2 weeks? SMH.... 2 weeks? i can't wait that long. I reverted back to the smog /repair station i went prior to finding this shop(its closer to my home). Guess what it passed the visual. Never again will i come back. It is unfortunate. 2 stars, the lack of knowledge is unacceptable. The inablity to identify an OEM Catalytic converter from the Car's manufacture is a problem.

I took it to a mechanic and returned to Jamboree Smog for a second time after replacing the faulty part and again was told my vehicle would not pass because I needed to drive 200 miles in order to clear screens for the various exhaust components after the recent work. They gave me a handout detailing specific driving patterns and speeds needed driving the 200 miles to clear the code reader screens. I followed the handout directions and came back a third time passing smog. I took my Honda there and the middle eastern guy who was doing the smog for me started to rev my engine like crazy and then he opened the hood and was looking for 30 min he tried so hard to find something and not passing my smog but my car is great and passed it regardless. This was my first visit to Smog Time, going there based on a coupon I found on-line. They happily accepted the coupon and discounted the posted price accordingly. Technician was friendly and efficient and I was out of there in 20 minutes.
