We tried their Chicago Restaurant Week menu and got to choose from some of their popular items. For $45, we got an appetizer, entrée, drink, and dessert. The brisket was pretty tender, but I would've liked a little more flavor. The sides were okay--I usually prefer sweet baked beans, and theirs were smoked, so it was an interesting new flavor. The banana pudding was scrape-the-bowl worthy--definitely recommend!

Waiting for baseball game....Service was great at 4pm. Ordered the Mac Daddy w/pulled pork- good. Cheesiness was different from my SWest upbringing. Pulled pork, brisket and turkey was so good - very juicy! A lot of the time with turkey & chicken it can be dry but not here. Beans were a lil spicy for me but my partner loved it.

This BBQ place across the street from Wrigley Field has a great menu with dishes that give you the flexibility of trying several of their smoked meats and terrific sides. If you like Smokey sweet baked beans with pieces of brisket throughout, you'll love these. The coleslaw is perfect, not too saucy, yet creamy enough. The brisket and the ribs are standouts here. The space is wide open so you can see all the Wrigley Field action throughout your meal. The staff is very professional and welcoming. The service here is reason enough to come.

Good food, great views! Directly across from Wrigley it's a perfect spot to pregame before the cubs game. Ordered the smoked meat platter and easily fed 2 people. They were out of burnt ends this particular day but I would recommend that smoked meat first. Service was spectacular as well! Our waitress Kass was so awesome, sweet and had great recommendations. We visited Smoke Daddy when the kids weren't really feeling it at the Christkindl market. The Christmas decor was great. Our server Juan was *amazing* and we had a great meal. I had brunch and everything was so good. The bacon was perfect. The hashbrowns were very well seasoned and flavorful. The pancakes were good and the monkey bread was perfect! I had the breakfast sandwich. I had no idea brisket, eggs, American cheese and bacon would be so perfect together. Definitely a fun Sunday stop!

This was so much food that I had plenty left to take home as well. The brisket deviled eggs are so delicious! The loaded fries are worth ordering. The little city eats has to be the best deal on the menu. It comes with so much meat. Honestly that was my only meal that day because I was so full after! The plate comes with 3 types of meat with 2 sides. I chose the brisket, cole slaw, and cornbread. They have an assortment of bbq sauces on the table. My favorite was the blazing hot sauce with the mustard sauce in 2nd place. The banana pudding is delicious. Presentation points for the banana pudding cause I was not expecting it to look so nice.

Going not during Cubs traffic is key. Unfortunately, they were still out of the burnt ends though. The Daddy-O brisket and sauce were pretty good, definitely the favorite item. Hot links, pulled pork, and Mac were all just classic - pretty decent. The beans had meat in them and were actually kinda different and really good. Overall was impressed by the price and quality for a Wrigley BBQ place.

After touring Wrigley Field, our group of 11 headed over to Smoke Daddy for lunch, and it couldn't have been a better choice. They had no problem accommodating our large party, and the entire experience was excellent. The food was amazing. We ordered the "Taste of the Daddy," a massive tray loaded with brisket, pulled pork, a full rack of ribs, half a chicken, hot links, mac & cheese, pit beans, and more. Every bite was packed with smoky flavor, but the ribs and pit beans were personal standouts. Absolutely delicious. Our server, Sydney, was fantastic, fast, attentive, and full of great recommendations that helped us navigate the menu. She really added to the experience. My only complaint was that I wanted to buy a Smoke Daddy 94 t-shirt, but there were no XL sizes available. It was a bit disappointing since we came all the way from California to visit. Note to the manager: please consider stocking more XL shirts. Overall the vibe inside is fun and casual, with a cool neighborhood feel and a definite Cubs connection. Don't be surprised if you spot a former or current Cubs player grabbing a bite. Whether you're a local or just in town for a game, Smoke Daddy is a must-visit in Wrigleyville.

Smoke Daddy did not disappoint. Stopped in here after visiting the Wicker Park location a few years ago. On this occasion the Bears were playing. Several TV playing NFL games playing. We were served by Colleen, who was also making fierce drinks. For cocktails we grabbed an old fashion and Cubbie blue margarita. We went straight in for bbq which was delicious. Hubby and I both ordered the two meat platter which includes 2 sides. I got the ribs and brisket with beans and cornbread. My husband grabbed the brisket and pulled pork. We both enjoyed our entrees. The beans were impressive. I also killed those ribs. Nice date night and really enjoyed this restaurant.

The location and vibe are 4 stars, the service 4, and the food 2.5. Seeing as the food is the most important factor, the great location, ambiance, people watching, and clean bathrooms were offset by slow service and food served cold. This is BBQ. Also disappointing was the funky, anemic looking brisket served cold and the everything else on the plate. The pulled pork was slightly better. I guess good enough for a pre game but not otherwise.

One thing that I've always liked about bbq food, is that it's always cooked before. The main protein of your dish has is usually smoked and ready to be served way before. So it's always been somewhat of quick meal. But I wouldn't recommend coming here if you're trying to get something to eat before a Cubs game. We were fortunate enough to be given a seat. It was definitely packed, but waited 50 minutes for our food to arrive. We ordered Brisket Nachos and a Brisket sandwich w/ fries. But our food was nowhere to be found. We were assured we wouldn't miss first pitch. We definitely missed the first pitch. Our server lacked a sense of urgency and seemed scared to ask the kitchen. He mentioned the they get mad when you ask them. The worst part of this entire thing was the food. I will admit, I do get impatient at times, but all that frustration goes away when a delicious plate is placed on my table. Not this time. The food game cold, like it was sitting for a while. The brisket sandwich was also cold and tasteless. Like I had mentioned, we ordered the sandwich with fries and got Cole slaw. Our server said he would bring out the fries...he never did. If you're going to have an operation across the street from Wrigley, you have to step it up big time. Should be able to handle large crowds on a consistent basis. Will definitely not be returning here.

Was here last night after a night market right across the street! Unfortunately the brisket plate we ordered was beyond dry. It was more along the lines of day old brisket that was left out than anything fresh or tender. I wish I had taken a picture bc it was even visibly dry. We had the brisket nachos which were ok, the wedge salad was good and so was the cookie desert. We did come around 8pm so it might've been the tail end of the brisket but even so, shouldn't have been served. Manager agreed and took it off our ticket which was good but also to be expected. Our waitress was friendly and the ambiance the typical downtown bbq place with the metal plates etc, nothing special but we were seated right away and it was clean and neat. read more

Killin' Time before the afternoon game! Immediately found seats at the bar and we were ready to order. Small menu but the BBQ smelled amazing and they did have a variety of craft beers to wash down that grub. Being a Native New Mexican, of course it is going to shock me when I see green chili on the menu! After all, we are in Chicago! I did not think they had heard of it! We decided to pass on the chili but ordered the brisket sandwich and a side salad. That sandwich was so tasty! The beef was tender and the BBQ had both that sweet and spicy to it! Fries were extra crispy and went well with the sandwich. My salad was also good and just enough dressing which they put on prior to serving. Service and food were great! Let's cut right to the bone. Left the Cubs game in the 6th inning and took the family to get smoked meats. I'd been to the Wicker Park location and the bbq was excellent there. Unfortunately the experience at the Wrigleyville location was poor. Service was fine. The meal was exceptionally mediocre to bad. We ordered the rib sampler and the smoked meat platter (burnt ends and brisket). The ribs were completely dried out and over sauced. The burnt ends were good but the brisket was thinly sliced hunks of fat. I don't shy away from eating fatty meat but this was gross. It looked like medium rare pork belly. This is the problem with almost all the brand name restaurants in Wrigleyville. The original locations are great but the touristy locations in Wrigleyville serve, at best, cheap cruise line buffet fare. read more

Ordered the brisket sandwich & my buddy got the burnt ends sandwich. Brisket sandwich didn't have a ton of flavor, but it was juicy. Was hoping for a Texas style brisket taste. This place just re-opened this past weekend and came here with my boyfriend for some drinks and dessert. This place is huge with 2 floors and with lots of TVs, high top tables, and larger bar tables. It was socially distanced appropriately and felt comfortable with how far apart the tables were. We got a table luckily upstairs which had a similar layout to the first floor. The bartender was our server which took a little longer for us to get greeted and placed our order. She was super friendly and got our order placed right away. We ordered a glass of champagne and a jalapeño margarita. The margarita was really good which a little kick! Our cookie skillet took about 25 minutes to wait for, but was worth the wait! I thoroughly enjoyed the vibes with the live music which is every Friday and Saturday night. Our bill was $38 for everything including tip! read more

Smoke Daddy is a very good BBQ spot in Wrigleyville and a good option before or after a Cubs game. We have been here a few times and have had a number of items that we would recommend. Starting with the appetizers, the pimento hush puppies are excellent. A unique twist on a traditional hush puppy that are sizable and have a great mix of melted cheese and crispy batter. Do try the jalapeño jelly that comes with them - a great addition. The entrees and size are equally as good. I would recommend getting the burnt ends and brisket. While the brisket was a little fatty, it still had a great taste and smokiness that didn't overpower. If you're not into a big BBQ meal, would recommend the Wrightwood salad. A good mix of greens and chicken that both were very fresh. Finally, this restaurant has a great atmosphere. When we went, they had a singer who was playing a great variety of tunes but not so loud that it was hard to carry a conversation. The restaurant is also family friendly and open to the outdoors for an airy feel. read more

I recently stopped by with several friends and was pleasantly surprised by the great eats and atmosphere at Smoke Daddy's. We had the baby back ribs as well as the shredded pork sandwich which were perfectly prepared. The ribs were fall off the bone tender which is my preference and generously glazed with sauce. I'm a sauce guy so was happy to have my choice of several flavors. Now the sides! Meaty meaty bbq beans were crave-able and the Mac and cheese was way above average. A shout out to Carl who served us at the bar and created cocktail worthy specialty mocktails for us as well as an epic Sidecar. We'll definitely be coming back! read more

We love going to Smoke Daddy for the bottomless brunch -- it's a preposterously good deal that includes unlimited starters, an entree, and unlimited beverages (beyond plain mimosas). The starters are hearty enough that I typically box up most of my entree for dinner :). Minus 1 stars for the EXTREMELY loud live music they occasionally have on the first floor. The band was good, but the acoustics reverberate the sound and made for an extraordinarily uncomfortable experience. We ended up moving to the 2nd floor and were able to enjoy the rest of the meal. read more

I went to smoke daddy for a special event; arguably the best way to experience a business for the first time; yes, sometimes you could be limited to what the sponsors want to be served ( in this case the drinks, a new whiskey) but businesses put the best foot forward to please corporate clients, and Smoke Daddy sure did that during this event. The sponsor was Crown Royal introducing Texas Mesquite; a limited edition whiskey infused with Texas Mesquite wood flavor; an exquisite smoky, mellow and sweet whiskey that will coat and linger in your mouth. Smoke Daddy served a series of cocktails using Texas Mesquite perfectly executed to suit any taste. Additionally, they provided the food, and here is where they shined; not your typical bar food what they serve is worthy of a stand alone restaurant. From brisket to pulled pork, pulled chicken and all the trimmings of a smoke house restaurant. For this event, the food was served buffet style, so the dish on the picture doesn't reflect the culinary skills of the house, instead, it shows my desire to taste various items since they all look, smell and taste so good. Smoke Daddy's own barbecue sauces are available at every table in 3 flavors from sweet to hot, for customers to indulge themselves with the amount they desire. Located across the street from Wrigley field, the atmosphere is infectiously festive, even when the Cubs are not in town. The view of the park from the upper deck is a dream for Cubs fans and the lower level offers live music so game days is not the only reason to visit Smoke Daddy. My suggestion, visit on game day, try to get a table on the second floor deck and suck in the pre game carnival of Wrigley Field. But I warned you, use a designated driver because there is a good chance you won't want to leave until the last fan does. I'm already planning my next visit. read more

I did not remember this place and certainly did not remember coming here, at all. But I figured my 4 star review from the Obama years must certainly be 5 stars for 2026, since restaurants are so inconsistent lately. I was right. The half chicken was smoked *perfectly.* It was fatty and crispy, but it was not doused in oil the way so many restaurants do these days. And even if you remove the skin from your chicken, the flesh itself was tender but firm and flavorful - even the breast. Plus, if you have leftovers, it reheats very well and kept its crispiness and moisture. This time they did have St Louis ribs, of which we bought a sampler. I'm not a pork person these days (I don't digest it well) but I had a bit and it was great. Too bad I forgot about this place relatively close to me. I would have purchased a lot of smoked chicken here over the years. But I look forward to making their chicken a staple of mine. The prices are super competitive, too, especially for the quality.

When I find myself thinking of a return trip while still there, you know for sure Offset BBQ delivers! I ordered the All Beef Platter, and got the Brisket Chili (upgrade) as my side. The sausage was fantastic! It had a snap which made all the Chicago Hot Dogs within a 20 mile radius jealous. Inside was a maximally savory, salty but not over-salted filling. The kind of meat that needs no sauce. Then comes the brisket! A lovely piece of meat that was so tender, looking at it and licking my lips caused the meat to start falling apart. I also loved that it was a good balance of meaty and fatty bits. However, there is a small 'but' here. For my taste, the brisket needed a very light sprinkle of salt. No matter, with the help of the sauces the brisket leveled up enough to take on any boss battle thrown at it. Speaking of sauces: The KC Style and Hawaiian were both good. Both were sweet, and had some tang, though, it seemed the KC had a slight edge in the bold department between the two. A sauce I loved though was the Chicago White, a fantastic Horseradish and Mustard sauce that was unique, interesting, savory, fresh, and a little spicy. The kind of sauce I want to buy a container of and take home! For my side, I upgraded to the bowl of brisket chili. I loved this so much, I may just order this as a main on a return visit. The chili did not at all skimp on the meat, which was tender and flavorful. The use of beans, corn, and veggies were there to help accent everything else, and were themselves cooked perfectly. Kudos also for the inclusion of a couple pickled jalapeno slices. My heat tolerance may be too high to feel a burn, but the crispness of acid did wonders! The included coleslaw was one thing I did not love. I appreciated that they were not heavy handed on the mayo, and the dressing overall was light in quantity and consistency. However, the cabbage was sliced as if by a sleep deprived stagiaire who has yet to master knife skills. The slicing was terribly inconsistent, with some pieces being way too large. For dessert, I ordered the Blueberry Handpie. This was so much better than expected! The crust was flaky and wonderful, and the filling had plentiful sweet blueberries. This dish also excelled in its execution. The cast iron pan kept the pie warm, and the ice cream was such that didn't melt right away. I also loved that the blueberries weren't screaming hot and exploding with lava. When it comes to the service, the bar-server was fantastic. She was kind, friendly, and attentive. Food came out pretty fast, too, considering how fresh everything was. Finally, while I did not make laps around the entire establishment, the vibe has just the right intersection between BBQ and Rock & Roll, with the music playing at the perfect volume to be appreciated while being not at all intrusive. Final verdict: There are many who sing the praises of Smoque BBQ, which is a great spot. However, between the two, I prefer Offset. Other than a sloppy-chopped Coleslaw, the experience was fantastic not only in the food, but in the execution and the thought put into the experience.

I generally don't have an appetite for bbq and wrigleyville to be honest but a friend of mine invited me to check out Smoke Daddy and all I can say is how FANTASTIC it was. From the decor to the service down to the food everything had bite. It's not your typical sports bar... The ambience is cozy and tastefully decorated, the food is so flavorful... from the baked beans to the ribs to the mac and cheese.... so so good. And as far as the drinks are concerned... I'm sober - so I stuck with mocktails, and I can't describe in enough detail how great they were. Carl, our Bartender, offered to "whip us up something delightful" and he fulfilled that and then some. Two stars cuz the place is cool. Cool mix of texture, color, and culture. The drink menu is rather small for a bar, and very expensive. Less than sub par beer list, especially for the amount of travelers coming through the area. Yes, I realize it's in Wrigleyfield, but it's still a small drink for a solid $2-3 more than anywhere. Ordered 1/2 smoked chicken, cornbread and Mac & cheese... chicken is very Smokey, but dry. Almost flavorless. The cornbread is also pretty dry. The Mac & cheese is OK. Other dish was a pulled pork sandwich, which, even smothered in sauce, remained flavorless. Had such a huge portion that was burnt (and I mean BLACK, stuck together burnt), that it made up 1/2 the meat of the sandwich Decent fries. Don't even get me started on all of Chicago serving Pepsi!! Smoke Daddy BBQ is a solid, average spot with some highs and lows. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the whiskey selection was impressive. The atmosphere was clean and comfortable, which added to the experience. As for the food, I found it a bit hit or miss. The burnt ends were a little fattier than I prefer, and while the BBQ sauces were above average, they didn't completely make up for the rest. I also ordered the "jalapeño beer cheese" appetizer, which, although tasty, was served cold in a ball like a cheeseball. It wasn't what I expected and felt a bit odd for BBQ fare. All in all, the friendly service, solid drink options, and decent environment kept it from dipping below 3 stars, but the food itself prevented me from rating it any higher. I went here a few weeks ago with about 9 other people and came for the "bottomless brunch". The food was very good but it seemed like the bottomless part of the brunch was intentionally being slow walked. When we ordered our first platter of breakfast they only brought one tray of food for all 10 of us that had maybe 5 pancakes, 3 pieces of bacon 2 sausages and hashbrowns (which were very good) which wasn't enough for the table and had to ask for another. A lot of the items didn't come out together so it was hard to eat all the breakfast items together. My eggs came separately (and were cold) so I ate pancakes while I waited for hot eggs. Over all the food was great, just wish the food had been more plentiful. Would go back again. read more

Very rude waitress, she came over and Instead of being polite, she barked at me, that I was at a reserved table.... I hadn't been approached previously so I thought she would take my drink order but instead spit fire at me and walked away... moments later some meathead beard freak approached saying I had seated myself improperly and that I would have too leave. I let him know that basic customer service would go a long way and he dismissed me, so I left... it's crazy to me how poorly I was treated when no hostess or anyone had approached me to seat me accordingly... I will never return to this bar....i would give them a lower score if possible... read more

We smelled BBQ from down the street and had to stop in and so glad that we did! We got a 1/2 pound of pulled pork and Mac and Cheese and we also got the loaded fries and a burger with coleslaw. Everything was delicious, but I could've eaten a whole plate of the Mac and cheese. Everything came out super quickly and the servers/hosts were super friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend and plan to come back next time I'm in the area! I literally never write yelp reviews but this place deserved a great one! read more

The restaurant was so cool and they have nice bbq food options. Everything was appetizing and well-cooked food. Nice menu. I ordered the Brisked Sandwich and Pulled pork sandwich for my husband. I think it's fair to say Smoke Daddy really is the grand-daddy of them all. From their menu of exquisitely smoked meats to expansive list of refreshments, this place really has it all. Plan a trip to Chicago just to give this place a try. Wrigley Field is conveniently located across the street to enjoy a ballgame after your meal. read more

food was delicious and portions were huge! Cute little bar side and tables accommodated to small groups to large groups and booth tables. Upstairs area to eat and lounge too. Had an amazing time at Smoke Daddy BBQ. The food was on point--perfectly smoked and super flavorful (highly recommend the burnt ends!). But what really made our night was our server, Ivan. We go here often for their brunch! They have really delicious monkey bread, hash browns, and pancakes. They have really good Bloody Mary's with lots of thick meat as a garnish. It's a great location if you want to come for a baseball game and walk around wrigley. Staff is always friendly. read more
