I was really wanting to like this more. The food was decent. We split a pizza and had smoked sausage bites. The bites were wrapped in bacon and covered in a tangy sauce. The pizza had good flavor. The downside was the attention, or lack of, that was paid to us. It seemed like the staff was more concerned with satisfying the regulars instead of helping all customers the same. This is the same thing that led to the demise of Nick and Jimmy's. When you go out of your way to only help a select few you will turn others off. If this is corrected then it will be a nice place to visit. If you want people to return then show everyone the same respect. read more

Went there recently with my family for the first time. We were excited to try it due to all the great reviews. Boy did we regret it. I was embarrassed bc I was the one who suggested it. Pros: The place was clean and had a nice atmosphere. The perch and barbecue chicken was good. Con: The waitress was not good at all. Kept messing up on orders and seemed to be rushing us. The chili was inedible....it tasted like someone dumped a bunch of cumin in there. The smoked sausage lollipops were so salty that no one wanted to eat them. The brisket was burnt on everyone's order. The mac and cheese was so dry and tasteless that both of my sons couldn't even eat it. All of the food seemed very salty.......esp the Salmon and smoked sausage lollipops. The choc cake was not good either. Complete waste of time and money. We went there to celebrate birthdays and lets just say; it was a huge disappointment. First and last time there. read more

This is real bbq folks.. because when you order sauce it comes on the side..true bbq doesn't need sauce...the fries and cheese curds are legit! Super friendly staff. Nice TV placement throughout the restaurant. Food was outstanding. Burnt ends and lollipops to start are a must. Loved the BBQ sauce variety, I prefer the coffee and Carolina Gold flavors. Had the pick 3 with brisket, pulled pork, and wings. Brisket was my favorite, wish there had been more on my plate. Finished off with delicious bread pudding. Overall great food, reasonable priced, would definitely recommend if you're looking for authentic bbq. read more

Went here on whim to try the BBQ and was very impressed! I wasn't particularly hungry so I got the BBQ Chicken sandwich which came with bacon and onion rings on Texas toast. I added a mixture of their sweet BBQ sauce and the spicy and it was really good! It came with 1 side (I got baked beans, also very good). Server was very polite, friendly, and attentive. She tried very hard to help with my friends onion allergy which was nice. This place deserves another go to try some of their other BBQ, most notably brisket and sausage. I'll be back! read more

Wanted to try something new, after coming from out of state. This place is amazing. We tried the Poutine, smoked sausage lollipops along with a few other items. Absolutely delicious the ribs were smoked perfectly they fell right off the bone. My only small slight gripe is the lollipops needed more syrup on them lol... Our server Phoebe was absolutely wonderful! Would recommend this place to anyone. Wish we had one in PA!!!! read more

Wow wow wow....read the reviews and thought why not...very nice interior, easy parking. Seated immediately even though they were busy. Perky waitress grabbed our drinks quickly and took our order. 2 meat wit 2 sides was amazing..pulled pork was tender and well flavored, bbq chicken was tender and a bit of a kick, baked beans and fresh fries were excellent as well as the corn bread. Slow service, mediocre food, filthy restrooms! Nearly an hour to get our food! Had dinner at the smokehouse734 last night. Special was meatloaf, green beans and mashed potatoes. Meatloaf was okay tasting but had been grilled until almost black and dried out. Wife had a salad that was supposed to mixed greens but was all iceberg lettuce. Sister and brother-in-law also attend dinner and their meals were the same. There were many employees wondering all around looking like they didn't have anything to do or were all trying to do the same job? Not sure where the manager was but very unorganized staff! Stopped in today for lunch. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals! Based off the reviews I read here on yelp, we tried the cheese curds as our appetizer. I would also highly recommend! We had a burger and the pulled pork, both were very good. I tried all 4 of the BBQ sauces that are on the table, all had good flavor, but my favorite was the coffee BBQ sauce! Service was excellent as well. Overall was a great experience and I am looking forward to returning! read more

We had been there a couple of times before and it was OK. Our last visit, however, was a complete disaster. There were maybe six customers at tables and two at the bar. The place was nearly empty. We waited a long time for someone to take our order. Someone finally came to take our order. We then waited half an hour for our food even though the place was almost empty. When the food finally came, it was cold and dry. My burger was terribly over cooked. I had ordered it rare but it was so overcooked that it would have been suitable for use in a professional hockey game as a puck. It tasted like it had been sitting for a long time. The waitress never came to ask us if everything was OK (which it wasn't). We couldn't get her attention to get drink refills. read more

Unfortunately the baked beans were clearly from a can and room temperature, coleslaw was mediocre and the service was terrible for being a weekday lunch. We used to love this place. It had the best hamburgers around. This time we ordered the OMG burgers and they were terrible. They were dry and overcooked. We ordered them rare, but these burgers were so thin it would have been impossible to cook them any way but well done. They had no taste and we will never be going back. The burgers used to be one big burger, not two small pieces of meet. Now I don't trust any of their food. The restrooms were dirty and the doors wouldn't lock. read more

Arrived at 5:15 pm and seated right away. We took a few minutes to decide, so order placed about 5:25-5:30!! Received our food around 6:20 pm !! It's a good thing the food was good!! Brisket tender and moist, ribs fall off the bone, pulled pork good!! Onion rings and fries hot!! Potato salad ok. Not much flavor and potatoes bitey!! Asked about dessert, and I asked for it comped due to wait ( another table near us left because of wait ) but everyone else was being served timely!!! We shared the hot chocolate sundae !! We live in Temperance, so we thought we'd give it a try for his birthday. The wait to get in was fairly short. Staff members were courteous and helpful. We had the burnt ends which overall were pretty tasty. We then split a rack of ribs, salad, fries and onion rings. There was plenty of food, e could have easily shared a 6 rib meal. The ribs were okay, some tender, some very tough. The fries and onion rings were typical bar food. Prices were reasonable. The setting is. Typical sports bar with lots of noise and multiple TV screens. We like to talk when we go out, which was fairly difficult, but If you like a sports bar, this may the place for you. read more

Bright, friendly service. Decent selection of beer taps, good pricing. We ordered three dishes--two rib plates, one grilled salmon. One rib rack was done perfectly, the other arrived charred. Our waitress was happy to replace it with another. The salmon offered on the menu is "Wild-caught Alaskan salmon," which it is NOT. Instead, you get the cheaper, pinker Atlantic salmon, absent the distinctive flavor & deep coloring of wild-caught salmonidae. I'm from the Pacific NW; I know what I'm talking about. Having said that, I ordered the fish medium-rare, and it came cooked perfectly. The restaurant owners may want to speak with the supplier, or clarify the menu. That's not wild-caught Alaskan. It's a bit like expecting a New York Strip, and they slip you a piece of goat. Big difference. The sauce selections at the table are good; the spicy one could use a little bit more kick. read more

Just had a very enjoyable time at the bar with our bartender Nick. I think the whole mask BS got in our way a bit since I'm old and hard of hearing, but Nick and the rest of the staff made our experience top notch. We went to celebrate the final day of my wife's birthday month and we couldn't have had a better time. Had lunch here the other day...I ordered the pulled pork along with natural cut fries and BBQ beans with sweet iced tea. The meat was very good...not quite sure what natural cut fries are but they seemed to me as seasoned fries which I never care for. Not so sure they are peeled and fried there...seemed more frozen. The beans were ok. Tea was good...maybe could have been a little stronger but that is just me. A nice piece of sweet corn bread which was tasty. Waitress was very nice. Decor was nice. The bathroom was a whoever gets there first lol...unisex style....no big deal but I found that a bit odd with a restaurant that size. I will surely go back. read more

We had a great time at Smokehouse 734. Our waitress was great, attentive and helpful. We began with Cheese Curds; holy moly. So good we got a second batch! Wedge salads were awesome. Tacos were great and rivaled local taco shops. The burger was top notch. The barbecue always very good, but the shining star was the dry rubbed, smoked wings. These are worth the trip alone, dare I say a MUST GET. Atmosphere is solid as well. Can't say enough good things about this place. read more
