I drove nearly an hour to come here for ribs for an event. I took a big risk driving so far for ribs without having first experienced the food myself. When I arrived I was greeted immediately and offered samples. Without hesitation I ordered more than ribs. I think this place is just starting out but I'm telling you, you won't be disappointed, no not at all. You will be happy about the smoked ribs, brisket, or chicken. The owner and staff were so incredibly humble and genuine. I hope they can keep this experience going as they get more customers. Well they were part of a food truck / tent food festival in Waldorf so i thought i sop by. I got the ribs, green beans platter, and added Mac and cheese. These guys are amazing. We stopped at their place and they were just coming back home with their food truck. They were done for the day but we had been to two other bbq places and both were closed or done for the season. They took mercy on us and loaded us up with jerk chicken, collard greens, baked mac and cheese and yams. It was amazing. We are so grateful to you guys. Best jerk chicken we have had in years! So my review may be regarded as unique, as I never visited their location. I work in Accokeek off of Indian Head Highway, and HR decided to hire these guys to BBQ in the parking lot at work. Pros: Good BBQ! They are in league with Rockland's, Mission BBQ, Hill Country, and Dickey's. The portions were huge! And the rib meat came right off the bone. The Pitmaster was hard at work cooking away for the entire facility in the hot sun, I would have tipped him big if I had cash. I mentioned to the Pitmaster that I wanted to come check them out. My voucher was only good for one kind of meat (I got a pulled pork sandwich), but he went ahead and tossed in complimentary ribs! I guess he knew the best way to woo me is with food. My wife and I happened to stumble on this gem of a barbeque place a few days ago. The food is out of this world good and the barbeque sauce is a perfect addition to anything you get here.Brian is a master at his craft and makes some of the best chicken and Ribs I have ever had. We talked to him and Keisha for quite a bit and loved the atmosphere of the restraunt. I highly recommend Smokers Delight to anyone who has a true passion for amazing barbeque. It may be a bit out of the way, but once you make the small trip out there, I am sure it will become an instant favorite for you. I've visited Smokers Delight BBQ in all three locations that I am aware they sale, White Plains, Accokeek, and La Plata farmers market. First of all let me say that I always get a smile on my face when I see succesful black owned businesses doing well. White Plains- the family got the whole slab, mac n cheese, beans. Flavor of the ribs was amazing, tender and we really enjoyed it. The owner was very welcoming, gracious that we tried him out. You can see the pride of his work on his face while serving the meal. Accokeek- I believe they were just opening up the store front, I was really confused about what was exactly going on, you can tell they were still in a sort of transition. As for the food we had the half chicken, mac n cheese, unfortunately there were no green beans. Chicken was just ok. The price didn't match the quantity in my opinion,mac n cheese was delicious as usual. The owner was again very proud, very welcoming. La Plata- had a long morning of waiting around in the courthouse so decided to walk over to the farmers market for lunch. Smokers Delight was there with the pit, and open for business. Unfortunately there were no ribs, not sure if they weren't ready or if they just didn't have any. I was disappointed and was ready to check out another spot,but the owners mother was so full of energy and excitement that we started chatting it up and I decided to go ahead and try something different. This time I had the smoked salmon, and once again the mac n cheese! The smoke flavor on the salmon was a homerun. Usually I like my salmon a little undercooked, but this filet was well done but not so well done that the fish is flaky and dry. It was perfect. As usual the mac n cheese was awesome! The only knock, again, is the portion of salmon didn't reflect the price. The flavor of the salmon, savoring the smoky taste you couldn't help but overlook the fairly small portion. Overall this is a great try if in the area or looking for good bbq. The best thing going for this business is how personable the owner and his family is. The food is good and consistent flavor always bodes well for an establishment, but if they can maintain the positive attitudes they have toward their customers I can see even bigger things for them in the future. read more

Skipped lunch and couldn't make it past the BBQ sign, so so good. Everything was perfect, we ordered pulled pork and ribs. My God those ribs are good. The sides were fresh and a good size. I stopped in their new location in White Plains, MD and so glad that I did. This place is a game changer! I was pleasantly greeted when I walked in and thoroughly enjoyed the food when I got home! We had the ribs, fried shrimp, mac and cheese and collard greens! Everything was seasoned PERFECTLY, ribs were tender and fell off the bone, and the shrimp were plump and fresh! OMG!! Talk about good. Stopped here today cause I was curious. Have passed by this place at least a thousand times. got the fish. Fried fresh while you wait, excellent seasoning and breading, not greasy. Shared it with the nursing staff at the hospital and everyone loved it. We were in need of catering for my husband's promotion party and hired Brian to drop off food at our house. When I say this guy delivered...holy smoke! The food was amazing. My father was visiting from LA/TX and said that it was the best BBQ he had ever had. I agree! Brian was on time and his prices were reasonable. The mac and cheese was amazing as well. Best ribs my entire life. Usually I avoid ribs as they are so messy but these are cooked with a rub and the meat falls off bone. We saw the yelp reviews and stopped by for lunch on our way to visit family in Charles County and it was worth going out of our way. Enjoyed the brisket and the sides were amazing, especially the mac and cheese. The beans were thick (hate runny sauce with baked beans) and on the sweeter side went perfect with the meats. So My wife has driven by there for months, We decided to try them today. The Ribs are Awesome! Fall off the bone tender, smokey flavor, just awesome! We will go back! The Baked beans are truly phenomenal! Let's face it, anyone can smoke a good rib, but the baked beans, they alone are worth driving out of your way for! I really liked the ribs, but the Beans..just wow! The mark of quality is when the side dish impresses you more than the main! This is the best experience I have ever had with a catering company. Lets start with the food being absouluty perfect. Everything from the meats to the sides. I had quotes who were comprable to his. Now what separated Smokers Delight was the ability to work with me. They were able to take my order to for 60 ppl on short after my other plans had fell through. The other companies were trying to nickle and dime me and take advantage of my situation. Not these guys. They did everything they said they would do and more. They made my party great. Was enjoying the day down at Purse State Park and searched for local places on Yelp. This place is off the beaten path and to some might be intimidating to walk in but it's a typical hole in the wall BBQ joint. A little disappointed pulled pork and brisket was not available because they were catering an event that day. Gentleman offered us some ribs to try and we loved them. Grabbed a slab for us to take home and while he was prepping it I went ahead and got another slab to take to a party that evening. I remember one of the sides was mac n cheese. We destroyed the ribs and the extra slab we took to the party was no more. This is not a sit down location so keep that in mind. If we are ever back in the area we will be stopping by! read more

I decided to take a chance on the way home from work to pick up some BBQ and I'm glad I did! I have seen them around different areas of the county and they are now close to me. I was immediately greeted by the owner Brian who is as pleasant as pleasant could get. He offered samples of what he had ready and they were tasty. The pulled pork is a Carolina style and had the perfect tang to heat. The ribs weren't ready yet because of the rain but I made it a point to come back later to pick some up with my husband. The ribs are super meaty and fall off the bone and have a wonderful smokiness that comes with a side of homemade BBQ sauce for extra flavor if you choose.
