It's been almost two decades since I've been to a Longhorn. The last time I did (in the Richmond, VA area), the waitress skimmed my card and decided to go clubbing that night. Their food had never been worth tolerating fraud. This is where my great grandmother wanted to dine as her Mother's Day outing, so we went. The food wasn't half bad. I enjoyed everything I ordered; everyone enjoyed their selections. Nothing remarkable - it's a typical sitdown chain, one notch above fast food, yet, I may keep them in consideration when I think about dining out. I had the worst experience with my pick up order today. In the past I have placed pickup orders from this location and never had an issue. Today I ordered the parm crusted chicken breast. The presentation was disgusting. This is how it looked when I removed the lid. The chicken breast was overcooked, dry and tougher than leather. Some of the seasoned rice was under cooked, and the broccoli was overcooked which left it mushy. Today's food experience was horrible. The only good thing about todays visit was the young lady that brought my food out. She greeted me with a smile and was very pleasant. My reason for not returning and requesting a new order is that I do not live in the Waldorf area. I wasted my gift card on trash. read more

I had an extremely disappointing experience tonight at the LongHorn Steakhouse while celebrating my mother's birthday. We arrived around 6:30 PM and were told there was a 30-minute wait for the dining room. I specifically asked the hostess if my mom and I could sit in the bar area instead, and she told us "yes" -- twice -- and said someone would come clean the table. A server cleared and sanitized it, and we waited. About 10-15 minutes later, our server (Josh) returned and accused us of lying about how we were seated. He actually said, "I know y'all were lying about the way you were seated," and walked away. He later came back visibly irritated and slammed his notepad on the table to take our order. When I expressed that I resented being accused of lying, he told me to look at it from his perspective instead of apologizing. We were never offered bread, he did not check on us, and I had to ask another server for boxes and the check. The service felt hostile and dismissive, which completely overshadowed what was supposed to be a special birthday dinner. No customer should be accused of dishonesty due to internal staff miscommunication. Very disappointing experience. read more

Stopped by after a day of events in Waldorf. No reservations required, we were seated quickly but it did take a moment for a server to come to the table. Thanks Myles for making the best out of a bad situation. Myles was cordial and checked on us often. A patron must understand where delays occur and be mindful to handle it with grace. For starters, we had the smokehouse wings, chicken wraps, mango lemonade and sweet tea. These items came out fairly quick and were served hot. We were happy with the flavor, presentation and portion. Given a lunch menu, we pondered if the starters were enough or if we'd get an entree. We opted for the smokehouse burger and the grilled chicken salad. It was at least 25 minutes before our food arrived. Myles did come out and say our food was taking longer. In the wait, the pricing for lunch items changed and we ended up being charged the dinner rate for our items. Wasn't mad about it because it came out as we requested and presented well. Everything tasted good but by this time, I wasn't able to finish all of my food and only ate my loaded baked potato. The salad was a generous portion that will be lunch the next day. As we were talking about the long wait, Myles did come by to apologize. Oddly enough, there was a manager and other servers but no one came by and acknowledged the misstep. Again, Myles did everything he could to make sure we were okay given the circumstances. There is table seating that has half booth, half seats. There is a bar and an assortment of beverages with and without alcohol. The floor seemed dirty and some areas need more sanitation. Parking wasn't an issue. Stopped in because haven't had LongHorn in over 2 decades. The restaurant was pretty busy but we were able to walk right in and get a table. The waitress Anaya was absolutely wonderful. She was attentive and efficient. She made the experience great. I ordered the pork chops and it was good. The only downside of the meal was that one of the pork chops was extremely salty. I usually come here once every couple of weeks, I usually do carry out. Food is cooked right and placing an order is usually easy. Both those were fine again, however when I called to place my order they were out of all vegetables that weren't a premium side. No broccoli, no green beans, none of their 3 salad sides they offer. So I normally always get broccoli and a salad, but I had to go with the previous sides to dye them being out of so many sides. I asked the person over the phone well can you add 10% or something because I'm being forced to pay for premium sides due their inconvenience, the gentlemen said he would ask his manager and I said okay. When I came in to pay he said no they couldn't because their manager named Steve said there is nothing they could do about it. I work in the industry and that's total bs, not only would the manager not come out, he could have easily threw on a slight discount. They weren't just out of side option but up to 5, that's completely their fault. Got home and then both steaks were overcooked, and the baked potato wasn't cooked through everywhere. We've been here before, but it's been a while. The inside has been remodeled and has lots of seating. We went on Saturday around 11:30am. There were quite a few people already seated and a large party waiting for the rest of their party. My party of 2 were seated immediately. We had spinach dip, parm crusted lamb chops, parm crusted chicken beast 12oz, broccoli mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts. I was to tired to dine in so I came in and ordered the 22 Oz Longhorn well done w/loaded baked potato and a salad. I think when you order a To go meal they think they can just cook any ole way. First the steak wasn't a thick steak so it didn't need to be cooked and burned like leather. It tasted exceptionally burnt and not one juice was left in it. My husband and I came in for dinner, we sat at one of the bar area tables. We were practically ignored, until the bartender saw us and asked had anyone helped us. We said no, she said she'd be over in a sec. Before she got around the bar a server appeared. I did speak to server who seemed to be waiting on her boyfriend. Who she personally sat after me. She let me know that I could not sit at the table she was wiping off, I let her know the host sent me to the other table anyways, I was just standing waiting for someone to wipe the table we would be sitting at. I can't remember the last time I've gone to a Longhorn, but this is where my niece and nephew wanted to go so here we are. We went on a weeknight, so there was no wait to get seated. I'm doing a low-carb meal plan right now, so I was happy to see they had several keto friendly options. I opted for the salmon and shrimp with a double order of asparagus. The salmon shrimp were good, but the asparagus, although it was well seasoned, was a little limp. I prefer my asparagus to have a slight crisp to it. Our server was great when she was available, but she was also serving as the bartender. There were definitely a few times we had to flag down another server to bring us items. She did a half-hearted job, then walked away looking even more annoyed and to make matters worse, she spilled about half of what she swept right back onto the floor. We sat there for about 10 minutes and asked for a manager no one ever came. Eventually, the waitress showed up, but by then we had already decided to leave. She didn't ask what was wrong or even acknowledge there might be an issue. The lack of professionalism and care from the staff was extremely disappointing. It's been a very long time that I've been to this chain so I didn't have any expectations. We came here because we couldn't go to the first place due to a nut allergy. No allergy restrictions here. Well, not none but whatever they do have is avoidable. I couldn't tell how big it was but it is big enough to have a reasonable size party which we happened to sit next to because that was just the booth that we were seated in. We didn't mind because although you can tell it was a party, while we waited, we observed the party and they were enjoying themselves but not overbearing. We noticed this because it did take about 1 1/2 minute to get seated. Once seated, it took maybe 5 minutes before the server came to introduce himself. Service: The server was very attentive and he was knowledgeable of the menu. I will say that I thought the LIT was gonna be bigger but it was tasty which isn't usually how they got when they're that size. Now I'm wondering if there was at least 4oz of alcohol in there although 6oz would've been preferable. The wings were very, very good. Good enough for me to go back just for them (if they were on the happy hour menu [hint hint]). I enjoyed the steak but I have a love/hate relationship with t0bones and porterhouses. I like them but I love thick steaks. Because these are wide, they are rarely thick and if they are, it's too much to eat. So I really have nothing to complain about. Friday, May 1st, my wife and I took our 11- and 6-year-old granddaughters to the Longhorn restaurant in Waldorf for dinner. We were celebrating a special occasion for the six-year-old. Two silverware bundles were delivered to our table. As one would expect, the silverware was wrapped in napkins; however, since there were four of us, I expected a separately wrapped bundle of silverware for each of us. My wife unwrapped the two napkins and noticed the forks and knives had dried leftover food and stains on them. It would appear they were never washed. I asked to speak to "the manager." Instead, "a manager" came to our table. I asked her, if she would eat of off silverware looking like this? Of course, she said no. She personally delivered clean replacement silverware. If it had just been me and my wife, we would have left because I was not convinced, I could trust food coming out of that kitchen. The restaurant was packed and my granddaughters were hungry so we decided to stay. On a positive note, our server was very friendly and accommodating, and the food was good. Unfortunately, throughout dinner, my mind kept wandering to the filthy silverware and whether or not the food was really safe to eat. This was our first visit to this establishment. Visited July 19, 2025 While visiting Waldorf, MD, I came across this LongHorn Steakhouse on Yelp. I was hesitant to go in because of the low reviews, but since it was late and I typically enjoy LongHorn, we decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, the reviews were accurate. The restaurant is in serious need of renovation. The booths were extremely uncomfortable--worn down and unpleasant. The carpet had a musty odor, and there were bugs flying around, which made the environment even less appealing. Although the restaurant wasn't full, the hostess told us we'd have to either wait or sit at the bar because they only had two servers available. At that point, the Raising Cane's across the parking lot started sounding like a better option. After speaking with the manager, we were finally seated. Thankfully, our server was great--she truly helped salvage the night. My husband is pescatarian, and we were having a hard time finding a place nearby with decent fish options. Her attentiveness and positive attitude were the highlight of an otherwise disappointing experience. Sadly, I wouldn't recommend this location. LongHorn is usually a reliable choice, but this particular restaurant fell short in both cleanliness and overall atmosphere. Hopefully, they make some much-needed improvements soon. read more

We hung in there and were glad that we stayed. The food was very tasty and well prepared. The bbq ribs were better than the ribs we have had Texas roadhouse! My wife's salmon was good and we both had baked sweet potatoes which were excellent! I had a very good salad and my wife had steamed broccoli which was attractive but undercooked. I responded with 2 and she asked for my phone number. I asked her was there a wait and she said yes, about 20 minutes. The restaurant was full of empty tables so we were confused, but if this was an indication of the experience to come, we turned around and left. To my absolute disgust, it was a caterpillar. I immediately became nauseated and stopped eating. I saved the salad so it can be returned. Our water refills were cloudy and had a foul smell, and we had to ask for croutons that normally come with the salads. Some meals were served cold, and the presentation of several dishes was unappealing, requiring food to be sent back. When we shared our concerns, the manager on duty did not appear to care or take our feedback seriously. Overall, the food quality was noticeably worse than in the past. The asparagus delicious. The steaks were good too. My porterhouse look like a tbone. I use to the cut they sell at Outback. I should have got a ribeye. In the beginning of service was outstanding unfortunately E.C. disappeared several times. We had to ask for boxes several times. I never got my margarita order. I would have given her a 5 star but for me it drop to a 3.5. My husband experience was different. Therefore, he gave here 5 star on a different review. Went today to celebrate my mom's birthday. We all ordered our steaks medium well. All of our steaks were significantly undercooked. We sent one back to be cooked longer. Other than that, everything was good. The drinks were good. I wish I could rate our server separately from the food. Dave was excellent! Give him a raise. We usually leave town for food because Waldorf lacks good food and service but we stayed in town due to traffic concerns. Came to long horn for family dinner on a Thursday night. The parking lot was packed but we were immediately seated upon entering. Although the restaurant was crowded, our serve promptly came to our table. We ordered the spicy chicken bites for an appetizer and one drink from the bar. While we waited for the appetizer, we ordered our entrees. The appetizer arrived before the cocktail from the bar. After about 20 minutes the cocktail was delivered, which took wayyyy too long. I ordered the filet with a Parmesan crusted topping, a side of sautéed onions, a loaded baked potato and broccoli. The steak was cooked as I asked and seasoned well. Overall the experience was nice. Went here today for lunch. I read reviews of the two Longhorn in the area and neither filled me with confidence but I thought I'd give them a try. Walked in and no one was there to seat me. Waited about 7 minutes for just to come and then he said 10 minutes to be seated though half the tables were open. Others came in while I was waiting and they had to wait more than a few for just to come up too. Waitress was nice enough and food came out fast but I had to send the steak back for more grill time cause I ordered medium but came back pretty rare as shown in the photo. A couple other Yelp reviews had similar issues. I know staffing shortages are an issue so I can give a little slack but still...
