Attended a weekend backyard BBQ couples shower that was catered by Smokey Bones. The food was out of this world. The piping BBQ chicken and pulled pork had me going back for thirds!! I just been there once, I went their with my spouse. The first thing that caught his attention was the mini burgers so he ordered that and I ordered a combo - wings, hand pulled pork + corn and brocoli. The burgers were pretty good, 9 total for 15 bucks, he almost finished all, the wings were great, just wish the bbq flavor weren't too strong. I had for an appetizer - cornbread and for my entree I had 2 meat combo with 2 sides Turkey and Chicken for the meats and mashed potatoes with gravy and BBQ baked beans for the sides . The wings and ribs are great and the pulled pork! But everytime we eat there the appetizer and entree come out mins apart and they always blame the kitchen. Lousy customer service. I worked all day and stopped to get s quick pulled pork sandwich meal. First I tried the bar since I was by myself. I sat for 5 minutes without even a hello from the bartender. Next I tried a table for one, after another five minutes of no acknowledgement that I was even there I decided 10 minutes in a not busy business without even a hello was enough. This place is a local go to bar for my friends and I when we want cheap drinks and decent appetizers. The beers on tap are pretty good but nothing special. I go here a lot to play pool and have drinks. The food could be better, it seems cheap and nothing tastes like it was made in house. The staff and bartenders are pretty friendly and since I've been there quite a few times the bartender will usually make my drink pretty strong which is nice. Go for the alcohol and pool if you are into that, however, I wouldn't recommend taking a date out here for dinner, the food alone simply isn't worth spending the money. The waitress takes our order looking unkempt. We wait about 7 minutes for drinks and half hour for the food. We both ordered a pasta. I will say the appetizers were great but the Main dish was nothing but noodles and butter. It was disgusting. Wrong food or ridiculously inept cook? I thought forget it and ordered Donuts for the way back home for my grandmother. At home I found that the donuts were not even full size they were the size of Shoe laces strings in thickness about 1-2 inches long!! I was beyond pissed off. They looked burnt. For that alone I will not be going back. two outta three ain't bad but when it comes to a special occasion with someone you care about and the respect you get back from a place like this is like a spit in the face. Absolutely Worst First Time !!!! First let me say i was excited about trying smokey bones till i actually got there and waited 35/40mins for food that was cold and dangerous. We ordered two burgers and two kids meals. One consisting of a grilled cheese. The cheese was not even melted on my sons sandwich. One of our meals was upgraded with loaded fries as the side. The fries were cold as well as all the cheese and toppings. We complained to the manager who was very aloof. Never mentioned his name , had to ask our waitress it was something with an H. Anyways another 10mins pass as we wait for my boyfriends fries and our sons sandwhich to return. I am eating my almost 22$ burger when i get stabbed in the mouth by a skewer that was placed diagonally threw my middle burger. Needless to say i told the manager about my frustration and he was very blank faced and lacked any type of empathy or remorse. I will be speaking with cooperate on Monday. And hopefully they see this review and know that as an Assistant Manager at a Restaurant (myself) and a Chef(my bf) these actions are appalling to think that they probably get away with these negligent mistakes way to often ! read more

I've been ordering from this location to go for the past year or so. Tonight I placed an order and went in to pick it up to find that the order was never received. Turned out it never went through, so I resent it through my phone. Still nothing. I ordered in person after a waitress ran around trying to figure out what happened for 15 minutes. Now i wait at least 25 minutes for my food to come out but at least the people helping me were nice. Then I open the containers at home to find dry pulled pork, blackened burnt chicken, and broccoli with so much lemon on it to the point that it was inedible. The only edible parts of the food I paid $35 for were the mashed potatoes and garlic bread. So not only did I wait an hour for my order, I brought home dinner that was so disgusting my dog wouldn't eat it. I would have gotten a better meal at the Wendy's down the road. My husband and I went there 6/2/14. I took photo's of the huge dust bunny next to our table. When you breath the dust would come off the lamp above our table. The place was so dirty and dusty that I actually had to sneeze. The service was slow the food nasty over cooked dry, the condiments on the table were sticky and dirty. THE MOST HELLISH EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD IN A RESTAURANT. I called for takeout at 6:22 pm on Thurs, Feb 8th. I was told that my order would take 20-25 mins. I decided to wait in my car with my sister for the 20 minutes and then went inside. What I found was staff that was SEVERELY untrained & had NO IDEA what to do. They were walking around like it was the first night in the restaurant business. The girl at the desk must have been very new cause she didn't even know how to work the register. She asked the manager for help and he hardly responded, disappearing into the kitchen. She continued to get frustrated, disappearing every few mins. I watched as multiple customers entered the restaurant, waiting in a line, while employees came to the desk, not looking up ONCE to greet them. They all walked out eventually. Nobody seemed to even know anything about my order, but thats not what upsets me. The MANAGER proceeded to come to the desk, stare at the computer, NOT LOOKING UP or acknowledging my presence, then walked to the hostess desk and greeted 2 customers and then disappeared again. By this time it would have been 40 mins since I called. THEN I waited before the manager finally spoke with me, then I sat for ANOTHER 15 minutes. Another customer asked if they could check on her food telling her if the food wasn't done she'd need the manager. I watched her go out back and speak with the manager, and he wouldn't come out. The employee came out and whispered "JUST COME TALK TO HER!" He obviously didn't want to deal with the fact that he can't operate a restaurant. I felt INVISIBLE. I have a chronic pain disorder and because of the busy restaurant I stood for AN HOUR and 15 MINUTES TOTAL FOR TAKEOUT. Afterwards I was in pain for days. Not to mention that the entire waiting area is near the bathrooms which REEKED of URINE. It was the most unreal and horrible experience I'VE EVER had in a restaurant. Once at home I ate the food and the burger was BURNT beyond recognition, my fries were hard and they gave me no condiments for my pulled pork. I hadn't eaten all day and had such low blood sugar I had to have my sister drive. SO upset. I've since written to the Better Business Bureau and the smokey bones website and still have not heard anything back. I want to know that the district manager of this establishment knows what kind of manager this place is being run by. read more

My boyfriend and I went in on Saturday at noon (the sign on the door stated they opened at 11am). We were the only customers in there as we went and sat at the bar. No bartender in sight. During the 10 minutes we sat there waiting, not one person approached us, even the two servers that walked by doing their sidework. We finally got up to leave and my boyfriend asked to speak to the manager. Terrible. My boyfriend and I went to Smokey Bones for dinner. There were people at the bar and no one else in the restaurant sitting at booths. We were seated at a booth in the bar area, in plain sight of many employees. After being seated, we sat there for 15-20 minutes without ANYONE coming to ask us for our order, not even our drink order. The manager was inspecting booths around us, including the booth right NEXT to us to make sure they were clean. Another waitress was cleaning and saw us numerous times. We decided to leave because that's just ridiculous. As we left, I told the manager that we were sitting there and no one came to help us. She played dumb and asked us where we were sitting. I have been here before for lunch and the pulled pork sandwich is good. Today, I felt like baby back ribs which they seem to specialize in. Well, they served me overcooked spare ribs, but they were NOT baby back ribs. The garlic bread was hard as a rock and it seems like I got the bottom of the baked beans pan since it was 2 o'clock in the afternoon.
