Placed a DoorDash order at 3:45pm on a Wednesday, usually not a busy time for restaurants, half my order was missing. And the worst part was my baked potato and that's a hard thing to mess up, it had to have been reheated for many days to look like this. It wasn't edible unless you used a knife and fork to eat it. I came here one weekend with my family after getting a gift card for Christmas. I also received the $10 bonus card and we decided to try it out. Wish I could have received a gift card to a different restaurant in the end. When we arrived at the restaurant we were not greeted right away. I didn't think too much of it as I was trying to give them the benefit of the doubt. We waited around 5 min and then we were greeted and seated. All the food on the menu did look delicious and I was ready to dig in. I hadn't waited so long to dig in in quite awhile. And when our food finally arrived (about 40 min) it was not what I expected. I ordered the brisket sandwich which was literally all bread and cheese with a few slivers of beef brisket in the middle. Luckily we had ordered the cornbread which was good but the brisket was a huge disappointment. In the end the bill totaled around $46. This included 2 kids meals and 2 lunch portioned meals. Comparing this amount did not reflect what we received so we will not be back. I would not recommend this restaurant. The service will need to be upgraded for me to return. read more

One word- Inconsiderate We came here after our Daughter's dance competition. We got seated quickly, which is great. Then my Husband came in carrying our Daughter. Two employees came in and closed the door in his face. Then I had to go to the front and ask the hostess who our waitress was since we were waiting so long. The host explained that the waitress just found out she had our table and she was on her way over. No apologies for the wait. Then the waitress came over and asked how she can help. My group of 9 went to celebrate my daughter's birthday on (a very slow) Wednesday night at 730. One of us called ahead and let them know a party of 8 was originally coming. We had an extra person at the last minute so when we got there and told the girl who was spoken to on the phone that we had one extra, I sensed a slight attitude as if she now had to go and do a bunch of table rearranging. It was ONE extra chair!! I even asked the person in my group who had called "am I sensing an attitude from her?" The menu is pretty big so it took a while to read. There's lots of options to choose from. The food was hot and arrived in a timely manner. And the apps came out well before the meal like they're suppose to. The food was tasty but honestly, it was nothing to write home about. There wasn't one thing in particular that stood out like "oh my God this is the best thing ever!" We split the checks up. On my check was 3 of us. We ordered a water, a coke and a beer with fried pickles for the app. They were okay but you could tell they were frozen pickles. Ho hum. We also ordered chicken fingers, the beef brisket and BBQ chicken breast chicken wings all with sides. Again, we thought it was good just nothing to go crazy about. My wings were cooked to death. WAY too crispy with thick breading so it hurt your mouth to bite into them. The bill came and I nearly had a heart attack!! Almost $73!! We had an amazing server but after a 20% tip.... This was my first time at this particular Smokey Bones. We went around 10:30pm and despite the fact that it wasn't busy at all it took the hostess a few minutes to find us a table because most of them needed to be cleaned. Our server was great. I ordered a Strawberry Sangria which was delicious so points there. We got an appetizer and i ordered the combo with ribs and a the smoked wings. My boyfriend got a full rack of ribs and he enjoyed them. The best part was dessert. We had this Oreo dessert with ice cream and it was super yummy! We both loved it! All in all a really good meal and good service. Would have given it a 5 but there wasn't anything exceptional but did enjoy it. read more

They had a new person working on our table the food was cold not to mention we waited a hour for our food. Drinks were watered down and at the end of the night all our checks were mixed up they were putting extra food on our checks that we didn't order. What a sad and dirty place and a first and last time I'll be going here. For starters, the woman at the front, idk if she was a greeter or what, but she looked absolutely miserable. Just stood there behind her desk with the most unamused and unwelcoming look on her face. She never smiled once when we walked in or out. Refused to make any eye contact with any customer. The restrooms are absolutely disgusting. I've seen gas station bathrooms that were cleaner. Garbage all over the floor, toilets over flowing with toilet paper. All of the tp dispensers we're open with rolls either sitting on top of them or completely empty. Just gross! We ordered the pretzels and cheese as an appetizer. The pretzels were undercooked and the "beer cheese" was basically a flavorless gravy with chunks of, what I assume and hope, was shredded cheese. The food is pretty basic, run of the mill, chain restaurant food. I ordered the 1/3lbs blt. The bread on the underside of the sandwich was soggy by the time it reached our table. I ordered a burger that came with onion straws and bacon. The straws weren't crispy and the bacon was under cooked. I sent my food back and just continued to sip my drink. It's our first time here, so I tried something different. I got the smoked st. Louis ribs, I usually get baby back ribs with the BBQ glaze so this one was a little different, which I liked. Service was good and fast. Drinks were okay. Ordered fried green tomatoes, fries, and wings with dry rub. Sent back tomatoes and wings because they had no flavor whatsoever. Ordered a rack of baby back ribs which came in under 5/minutes.Sent those back as well because they tasted bland. The server took off all the returned items without problems. My husband took me out to eat at this location on 10/5/19. We have eaten here about 3 times prior but this is the first time we've been since management has changed. It wasn't bad before but I did notice a difference this time. The GM, Damone, was seen several times greeting customers and asked if everything was to their liking. Moral of the story - Avoid this establishment - slow service, small food portions & too many mistakes. 7 colleagues & myself visited this restaurant Thursday March 20th for dinner, arrived around 6:15, no wait, plenty of seating. Our waitress took our order, next thing we know - 5 minutes later - our drinks of water arrive (for only half the table) & no straws. It took her another 5-7 minutes to bring the other drinks & finally the straws. Next she took our orders & went away. 5 minutes later, she came back because she lost our original order sheet. Completed another sheet & off she went. Now, about 15 minutes later, out comes 2 plates of food (leaving the other 6). Thinking out friends meals would be out shortly, we waited to eat. It took another 20 minutes for the next 5 plates to come out & another 10 minutes on top of that for the last plate to come out. Unacceptable! The next issue I had was the portion size of beef brisket I received was rather small. For $15, I expect a decent portion, enough to satisfy an adult. If you form a fist with both hands, my portion was the size of 1 fist! Again, unacceptable. I didn't complain to a manager but I spoke privately with the waitress & was brought out some more beef brisket but even so, after everything else, I give this restaurant 1 star. We decided to come here for lunch since from past experiences we know the food is pretty good and it was close by. We had the Smoked wings with the sweet(ish) kind of sauce as an appetizer. They were very tasty until we noticed one looked like it could fly away with the amount of feather on it. We mentioned it to the waitress and was ok with them just replacing the 2 or 3 wings with the feathers, but they replaced the whole order. That was pretty awesome. The waitress was really nice about the whole thing and constantly came back to check on us. My husband had the Smokehouse Burger with fries and I had the BBQ chicken and links with a side salad and baked beans. Both meals were great! We ended taking alot of food home especially after having the extra order of wings. The waitress did ask if the manager came by the table but he never did. My husband thought he saw him when we were laughing and talking about something or another. Maybe he thought we seemed happy enough and didn't need to come over. Burned fried chicken, like black-charred inedible fried chicken, none of the toppings included but the splash of hot sauce to TRY AND COVER BURNT CHICKEN. GTFO! My husbands ribs looked uncooked! Like no definition in the ribs, just a solid piece of back fat and he was missing all his sides. Shameful and Disgusting to take advantage of your patrons. I will never eat from this kitchen, ever. This was my first time here and boy, I must say it was pretty great. My friend and i were debating between Buffalo Wild Wings and I'm so glad we chose here! It wasn't packed and service was great! Josh and Mikey were very attentive and friendly at the bar and made the visit worth it. I was very happy to see that they had veggie burgers because I've been craving one for the longest and it was Awesome! The food was cooked perfectly and presented in a very timely manner. Of course the game is on and everyone is was here to watch but luckily it wasn't crowded or hard to hear or find a good spot in front of the tv. If I'm ever back in Chesapeake, I'll be sure to return! Oh yeah, and not to mention, they cook everything with the good smokey taste which is great for those who eat meat because it's more flavorful. Well decided to try taco night on Wednesday at Smokey bones and o ya by the way it starts at 9 pm at night. Get there at 9 order three tacos and the bartender comes back with the tacos and tells me that they are out of shells it will be 30 minutes before I can order more. Place was not busy enough on a taco night to run out of shells with in the first 30 minutes of getting there. May be better other nights but will not be recommending taco night at all read more
