Salmon. Moist. Flavorful.
TJ B.

Sat at bar. Service was good. Food was great. Their smoky old fashioned ($14) is excellent. Salmon was moist and flavorful. ($23) I ordered it medium. Vegetables were good. Cup of Brunswick stew was good. ($5) Not a typical Brunswick but was tomato based with chunks of smoked pork. I saw someone get a bone-in steak that looked delicious. Sandwiches looked good with large side portions. It was a Friday night and they serve food until 1AM. Prices were a little high but I enjoyed everything I ordered, so maybe it's worth it.

Decided to go to this place due to a previous selection was closed, (2:00). We thought this chain had gone out of business. Earlier years my hubby used to drive for the Darden Distribution, which carried the company he drove for-(MBM WAREHOUSE). So Happy we decidedto come here, it was not busy, and the wait wasn't long. Even though they were short staff, the server was extra polite and patient. Thankfully the place was not noisy. I ordered the 1/4 bque combo with house salad and loaded potato . The hubby ordered chicken wing combo with roasted corn with steamed broccoli . Sorry, after saying blessing I forgot to take pictures of the food, which was soooo good...

This was a catered buffet for at work today. The smelles wafted through the halls alway down to my department. Delivered and set up by smokey bones. I absolutely enjoy the creamy crunchy Cole slaw. BBQ baked beans were more on the sweet side but every bite was delicious, almost like a dessert. Pulled brisket I wene

First time at Smokey bones yay. As we walked in the restroom was right next to the door, convenient so I ran in and washed my hands. Restroom was dirty and smelled pretty bad. Not a first good impression. We were seated right away, the time we visited was in between lunch and dinner and it was fairly quiet. The dinning areas is very large and have a nice atmosphere to it. We were brought the menus and they were soooo sticky !! Ugh. I just washed my hands :( pages were sticking together, that's how bad it was. I ordered a two favorite meal, with jalapeño sausage and pulled pork. Side of potatoes wedges and a side of corn. My meal came in and right off the bat was disappointing. It just didn't look fresh. Everything was extra crispy and dry. Potato wedges were crunchy in a dry, old kinda way not in a baked delicious crunchy kinda way. The pulled pork was again, dry and crusty. The sausage was so dry it was tricky to even poke it with a fork. The sausage was also supposed to be "jalapeño" sausage but I didn't see a trace of jalapeño so I questioned with the server. Manager got involved (I didn't mean for all that to happen :-0 ) and he quickly got a new order of sausage in to replace mine. By the time the new sausage came in I was done with the meal... not finished, just didn't want any. Pre of that so we needed up taking the sausage in a to-go box. Probably won't even eat it. Overall, I would have given this place 2 stars. I feel the manager interaction and the fact that maybe we came in at an off time, in between meal could have had an effect on the quality of the food. I would give it a benefit of the doubt and leave it at 3 stars. I wouldn't come back to this place and would probably not recommend to anyone or offer a cautionary heads up based on my experience. I wanted dessert and they had some options buuuuut, this is a bbq place and the bbq was not that good so I really don't have high expectations on the dessert department.

They don't answer the phone for curbside. Customer service is terrible. They say they placing you on hold and then hang up.

I had just checked into my hotel and was looking for something nearby to eat when I came across it on Yelp and I've been hooked ever since. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, even taking the time to share helpful information about the area. The food? Absolutely outstanding. Consistently great every single time. This has been my go-to BBQ spot for years, and it's the first place I recommend to friends and family whenever they're craving good barbecue. It's about a 40-minute drive for me now, but honestly, I'll make that drive any day it's that worth it. It's more than just a restaurant to me at this point it's tradition. Every time I come home from deployment, this is my first stop. No matter how long I've been gone, this place always hits the same.

The restaurant has a lot of character and plenty of seating. They are cash only, so come prepared. The food is was just so so for me. Both the beef and pork bbq are pretty good, the beef being my preference. I was not a fan of the ribs. Mine were not really tender. I liked the sauce, but I do wish the meat itself had more seasoning.

Looking for something different than the places close to the hotel on Yelp I stumbled across "Hazed" the name made me stop to see what they offered. After I tried to order online, the app said, they did not deliver to my location, but, it was less than 3 miles I called, spoke to Keisha she said my husband and I will come!! Points for their customer service during these unprecedented times. When they got there we chatted a while. I discovered they were supposed to open a location on Virginia Beach before Covid 19 stalled them... but it's only a stall! Now let's talk about the food the brisket was good and the Hazed sauce made it even better. The Mexican corn was a nice change as well. The smoked wings where pippin hot and the rub used made them more flavorful, the Buffalo Haze sauce took them over the top. Even the Mac and cheese was on point. I ordered the banana pudding super rich and delish! Not disappointed at all! Kudos to Hazed and it's owners for good food and great customer service Blessings

The order was perfect and still a good temperature even the fries. We had the Wings, Brisket, Pull pork Mac n cheese, slaw, mexcian corn, banana pudding, OG lemonade and the Hazed Lemonade. The meat was tender and held juices. The portion they give you is a nice size, it's packaged well with napkins and untinsels and labeled. I love the amount of barbecue sauce they give you. Once we chilled the banana pudding it was very good as well. Overall I highly recommend supporting Hazed. I look forward to them opening up a spot! Support Black Owned Businesses!!

Since it was a Wednesday evening, I figured it shouldn't be busy, but boy was I wrong lol. When we arrived, the wait was almost an hour and we contemplated leaving but thankfully, there were two, open seats at the bar, so my daughter and I decided to grab those seats and dine in. The restaurant was very colorful and vibrant and I loved all the Jamaican decor. The bar was just as packed and it took a while for someone to get us menus but after looking over the menu, we decided on the Brown Stew Chicken and the Curry Chicken. We also ordered Frozen Bob Marleys, which were very good. As we waited, we were able to hear the sounds of the band nearby and it made for a nice vibe. It took an hour for us to get our food but our server/bartender, Meka, was very sweet and apologetic. The Brown Stew Chicken was amazing! It was seasoned wonderfully and extremely flavorful. The Rice & Peas and Plantains were just as good. My daughter enjoyed her Curry Chicken as well. Neither one of us cared for the Mac & Cheese. Wednesdays are Groove on the Green, which is a free, Music Concert Series that Cutlass Grille hosts so I believe that's what caused it to be busy. Plus, we saw a few graduates out there as well having graduation dinners. Overall, I enjoyed my food but we definitely picked the wrong day to go. If I'm ever in the area, I would probably return in hopes for a better dining experience.

The food itself was good, and I liked being able to sample a variety of items without spending a lot of money. One thing that caught me off guard was that it's located inside a gas station. First things first..If you want any pork items you've got to get there early, cause it seems to be the first thing gone. So I opt for the "5pc lumpia beef with pancit". And ordered a side of "Chicken Stick", cause they we're already out of pork. Wow! They do not skimp, just take a look at the pics. The lumpia is a good size. It's not like a half size lumpia plus you get 5pcs. Now....the taste of the lumpia was too salty. I couldn't eat the rest. But the pancit with the chicken topping over it was delicious! The chicken stick was delicious tasty, and not dry at all. I would come back, and try other dishes. But the lumpia was way too salty. If they can cut down on all that salt it would be perfect.
