Soon after landing in Georgia, we wanted to set off in search of some of that famed "Southern hospitality." That journey wasn't a lengthy one as we soon had the good fortune of meeting Adrienne at "Smokey Bones" in Columbus. She immediately greeted us with genuine warmth and made us feel right at home! We decided to go "all in" on our "all rib" entrees and enjoyed both their "Signature House Smoked Ribs" and their "Imported Baby Back Ribs." While the deliciousness of their ribs was of no surprise, the quality of their sides was and the "Mashed Potato and Gravy" and the "BBQ Baked Beans" were good enough to emerge from the shadow of their entrée counterparts and forge their individual paths. I have to admit that I felt excitedly like we were being admitted to an exclusive Southern fraternity/sorority when Adrienne mentioned that she'd be bringing a "bone bag" to accompany our meals. I (eventually) figured out that she was bringing us a paper bag...for us to put our bones into...when we were finished with them. (It's ok if you feel the need to read that a few times over to get the gist. That just means that you and I could then start that exclusive fraternity/sorority that I mistakenly thought already existed! ‍) While enjoying some BBQ in the South was something I had always aspired to experience, I also had my first taste of "Sweet Tea" and it was everything that I had hoped for. Sweet and flavorful, but without being ridiculously amped up with cups full of sugar. It was "tastefully done" just as I had imagined! Thanks Adrienne and "Smokey Bones" for welcoming us to the South! And that's...Henry's Take. #southernbbq #smokeybones

We had a beautiful experience at this restaurant. The waitress was exceptionally sweet and attentive. Food was great and service was good.

The food was terrible. The server forgot my main dish and later assured me that it was being "warmed up". Never again.

Service was awful. Waited over 10min for drinks. Food was ok. Place has gone down over last couple years.

If you're anywhere near downtown Columbus, this needs to be your stop. The Old Fashioned was beautifully balanced, garnished with a gorgeous orange peel, and at $10 it's an absolute steal -- honestly, they could charge more and it'd still be worth it. My wife is vegetarian and had the pasta, which she loved just as much -- great sauce, feta, sunflower seeds for crunch. This place genuinely has something for everyone, carnivore or not. Add in a waiter who was on point the whole meal and that down-home Southern ambiance (exposed brick, string lights, the whole vibe), and you've got a restaurant that nails food, drinks, and atmosphere all at once. If you're looking for where to eat in Columbus, don't even think twice -- this is it.

But, other than that our actual wait person was awesome and the food top notch! The hot pimento crab dip is to die for and the Harlot Burger was a definite winner. We also very much enjoyed the banana pudding. Charming place, friendly service and great food...just wish the greeting was a bit more welcoming, still a 5 star experience.

So it's always first come, first serve and everytime I've tried to come here, it's a 30 min wait. It took about 15 min for the bartender to offer us menus and give us waters/ask for a drink. The drinks were delicious though, I had the Paper Plane. The food was also surprisingly good. Even though there wasn't enough chicken on the chicken Alfredo dish, the sauce was delicious and tasted great. The burger and sweet potato fries were also good. I think if I came back; it would be for the drinks and potentially the pasta. I would be open to trying other things on the menu.

Both my lunch date and I came from out of town after seeing so many great reviews and hearing how good the food was supposed to be. The restaurant itself was nice and clean, but let's get to the food... I ordered the blackened chicken with mashed potatoes and mac and cheese. Unfortunately, there was NO FLAVOR. I even tried adding the salt and pepper from the table, and it still did not help the taste at all. My lunch date ordered the salmon, mashed potatoes, and brussels sprouts, and unfortunately, their food was just as disappointing. What really surprised me was that after we finished eating, we met several people from the area who talked about how good the food was. We had also seen plenty of positive reviews before making the trip, so maybe we just caught them on an off day. I was disappointed to find out afterward that they have a Sunday brunch menu with a lot more options, including dishes like catfish and shrimp. Even a table of older ladies sitting beside us mentioned wishing they served cornbread--or any type of bread. There were no rolls, biscuits, cornbread...nothing. Personally, I think offering some of those Sunday menu options every day would make the menu much better. I was disappointed after driving over two hours to try this restaurant, but I am willing to give it another chance. However, my next visit will definitely have to be on a Sunday so I can experience more of what the menu has to offer. Everyone's experience is different, and this just happened to be ours.
