(paper, gum wrapper or foil) the waitress tried to identify

Not sure where the customer service portion started in our visit but when we arrived it was evident no one wanted to service us . not just one but 3 different workers looked at us and looked away when we walked in the door ... then finally one of the females that had looked at us and looked away came to seat us. this same female also sat two other couples after us that had walked out because no one came to see them . I counted 8 different staff members . finally a guy brings us our appetizer , I had the salad but as I begin to eat and enjoy my salad , I was surprised by a piece of foil of some sort . when I mentioned it to the waiter , she tried to tell me what it was and honestly , I didn't care because I never ordered a side of (trash, gum wrapper or foil ) all these things were mentioned by the waitress of what that could have been in my food .. needless to say, we haven't eaten at this place in a while and myself or anyone I know won't be going back .

New $15 Euro slab deal is great! Full slab and 2 sides, was enough for 2 meals for me. Our server Victoria was amazing!

    Disgusting

    Bonfire for 4+

I'm out in Indiana visiting family and this is a go to for them so we decided to go. I would have given them 5 stars but it took a while for someone to greet us once we walked in. Our server Victoria was friendly and very attentive. The three of us ladies shared a fried pickles and a Bonfire for 4 ( just so we would have leftovers to bring my brother). The food was all warm and very flavorful. The meats were all moist and had their own distinct flavor. My favorite BBQ sauces were the Carolina Mop and the Mustard. The Bonfire was a great variety of meats and leaves you smelling like you were out camping around the fire. Another amazing thing was that they had Coke Zero on the fountain! It was pretty empty for lunch time but the rest of the restaurant was clean and looked wide open. We will definitely be back. Thank you Victoria for a great first experience.

There were about 18 of us there for a birthday party. It took a long time to serve us but when the food came no one complained. That's pretty good for a group of that size! The servers were attentive and the menu was much more expansive than those of the other rib joints in town. The birthday boy and his brother are talented barbecue aficionados and smoke on the weekends. Both liked the food! That's a change! When dinner was over they allowed us to bring in our special "Krogers cake " and provided nice little desert plates. We raised the roof with "happy birthday"....a good time was had by all!!!! Thanks Smoky!!!!!

First time trying Smokey Bones and we loved this place. Especially impressed with the overall flavors and consistency of the food. But the service and atmosphere was great too. We ordered their original style ribs, brisket grilled cheese, appetizer shrimp, and for sides, brisket chili, corn bread (pecan butter is amazing), and Mac & Cheese. Also, aside from the Carolina Mopping Sauce, every other BBQ sauce is excellent. Everything we ordered was very, very good. You can tell this place is well managed. We'll definitely be making Smokey Bones a regular place when we come into Fort Wayne.

I absolutely love this place! This restaurant features bbq styled cuisine as the name suggests. It has items that vary from wings, burgers, sandwiches, salads, seafood, and pasta. The price of the items are average/ on par with other restaurants that fall into this category. The portion sizes are pretty decent. They also offer great lunch and late night specials. When it comes to bbq, they have a great variety of types of bbq sauces you can try. They even offer some as condiments on the table. The service here is great, although it can be a tad bit busy, so you might expect a wait. The atmosphere of the restaurant is family friendly and has a sports bar vibe to it.

Excellent BBQ. Pick two or three deals are awesome. Good service. Okay beer selection. A must for BBQ lovers.

I've been eating at this restaurant for more than 35 years. This wasn't just another place to grab…read morea meal--it was one of my favorite restaurants and a place I recommended to friends and family without hesitation. That's what makes its decline so frustrating to watch. For what feels like a year or so now, every problem is met with the same explanation: "Sorry, it's a new person in the kitchen." At some point, that excuse stops being believable. Constant turnover isn't bad luck--it's a sign that something is fundamentally wrong. The food quality has become wildly inconsistent. On my latest visit, the fries were so undercooked that some were essentially raw potatoes. The boneless wings were dry and overcooked to the point of being tough. The bone-in wings were questionable enough that I lost my appetite. The best word I can use to describe the meal is simply: ick. The servers deserve better. They work hard, stay professional, and often seem stuck apologizing for problems they didn't create. What concerns me most is the management. On multiple visits, I've watched the manager Josh speak down to employees in a way that no customer should be hearing and no employee should have to endure. I've seen staff members visibly upset and even reduced to tears. When customers can hear employees being talked down to, there is a leadership problem. The owner needs to pay attention. When employees leave, new kitchen staff constantly rotate through, customers hear the same excuses over and over, and food that was once consistently excellent becomes a gamble, the problem isn't the newest person in the kitchen. The problem is the culture being created by management. After 35+ years as a loyal customer, this is not a review I ever expected to write. What was once one of the most reliable restaurants in town now feels like a business surviving on its reputation while quality, morale, and standards continue to decline. The saddest part is that I remember how good this place used to be.

Mild pineapple taste coupled with a smooth and ice cold ginger beer. The cooper cup sweating cold invitations is a topper. We decided to split a Cobb Salad. Our server Diego was outstanding all night. He was more than willing to split the salad. He did everything you wanted a waiter to do to make your experience enjoyable! The Cobb salad was very fresh. The kitchen did an outstanding job at making it presentable in a half dish manner. There was plenty of toppings to accent the salad. The grilled chicken was moist, easy to cut and slightly seasoned to enjoy. The Cobb salad is a must try if you are a salad goer. The pizza was good. It has a thin crust that was crispy but not burnt. The pizza was just soft enough that you could cut it with a fork. We had the everything pizza. There was a good variety of toppings and plenty of them. The sauce was not very predominant. I would probably ask for extra sauce next time so I could enjoy the tomato sauce accents more. Overall...good thin crust pizza.

Knowing my previous experience with Hana in Phoenix, AZ, that was already a big red flag. But in terms of the food, the only thing I find worth mentioning is that they make correct ramen. ...Yet it's correct in the same way that a groomed, mindless Asian student who spent all night memorizing a book to regurgitate its content on the exam will give you a correct answer. The food at Bimi Bistro looks and tastes like what one would consider ramen to be. Bone broth, ramen noodles, fatty chashu, droopy marinated eggs, etc. And yet, it's so bland and bloody BORING! It's like a "How to make ramen for dummies" book illustration coming to life. Completely devoid of any excitement or character. The very definition of mediocre. This extends to the appetizers like the takoyaki and char siu bun as well, unfortunately. Everything's as technically correct as it gets. It's actually uncanny how they could make food with all the right steps and ingredients, and yet so lacking in flavor. I didn't get to try the hibachi plate my friend got, but from the looks and his description, it seemed like it would've tasted like every takeout "hibachi" dinner ever as well. Personally, I would've preferred actually bad food at this point. At least I could write something funny about them. TL;DR Someone just learned how to make ramen, and opened Bimi Bistro.

Today we decided to order from the wing experience as we recently moved to the Fort Wayne area and we are looking for our new goto wing spot! I seriously regret that decision. Granted, we did not eat in the restaurant we ordered delivery but still I have received plenty of good wings from delivery services in the past that is no excuse for poor execution! So my drink I ordered was incorrect, they did not include ranch which is annoying considering I requested it specifically being that my daughter is 5 sometimes the spice is a little much for her so she enjoys her wings with ranch.. didn't get any, whatever. Onto the wings.. they were inedible. I don't mean it's a little cold and dry. I mean biting into these wings was like eating beef jerky. I mean you really had to chomp and pull just to get a bite.. cold, under-sauced, obviously old and probably reheated several times because theyre overcooked beyond all repair. Laycoff's Tavern (near Granite City/Target, North Clinton St) - iconic place with good pizza…read more Laycoff's is a fun little place to frequent. It doesn't seat a lot of people. So...you might have to wait for a table. Unfortunately there isn't space for a nice waiting area. So you might stand up in the small bar area while you wait. It's okay. Things move fast. Enjoy the people watching opportunity. The team here is very friendly and welcoming in an odd way. They really are glad to serve you. Lots of smiles and friendly smiles. They are efficiently-friendly. They all move and talk fast. They are hustling to serve - not avoid. They will take a moment to get to relate...but not much more than a moment. The service is very good! The Sullivan family is very nice as well. Laycoff's is known for sausage rolls and a community bar environment. My wife loves her sausage roll. Full of tasty cheese surrounded by a light, fluffy and soft dough. The American sausage blended in with the cheese nicely. The menu has a small number of specialty pizzas (only six) along with build-your-own option. The prices are pretty comparable to other bars. On this occasion I got a 16" Everything pizza for $20. A 16 inch pizza was a LOT of delicious pizza. The pizza crust is thin. It is thin enough that almost every bit has a slight crunch. However, it was also soft enough to satisfy the less than crunchy crowd. The crust doesn't have much distinct flavor or seasoning. Just a nice thin crust. The pizza sauce was also hard to distinguish. The pizza is so full of toppings and cheese that you really don't see the sauce. The sauce that was they are blended well with the American sausage base. Now the best part - the fresh toppings! Laycoff's uses the Pizza King approach by using finely chopped toppings. The base of the Everything pizza is a finely ground American sausage. The base of the pizza so completely covered with sausage on the Everything choice. The sausage doesn't have much spice or flair as it is American style instead of Italian. The pepperoni is very thin. The fresh and slightly crunchy onions and peppers are chopped into small pieces. Even the green and black olives seemed to be smaller. The whole pizza was coated in delicious tasting mozzarella cheese. As I mentioned the 16 inch pizza is a large pizza. Laycoff's cuts the pizza into large pieces as well. This pizza could easily feed 3-4 people. Cold Pizza Test - I always want to try the pizza the next morning, cold, and for breakfast. This pizza was outstanding cold and as a left over. The coldness causes the mozzarella cheese taste to really come forward. The saltiness of the olives gets bolder. The bed of sausage and cover of cheese really help keep the pizza moist. The crust stayed a bit soft with a slight crunch. Overall, I really liked the pizza. It wasn't outstanding. However, it was really good at a good value. Dinning at Laycoff's has a sense of memorabilia and nostalgia. Be patient and enjoy the environment.
