HORRIBLE SERVICE...too bad for me, the wings are fantastic. Having worked in the restaurant industry for many years, tending bar is tough during rush. That being said, when the place empties out by 9:15pm, and it takes 20 minutes to notice my cocktail is empty and my menu is closed and ready for ordering...Houston- we've got a problem! For a brief moment we thought a bartender was coming to take our order, when she smiled and with a quick wave said "it's been great serving you!", grabbed her purse and clocked out. Salty bones - Chill on the salt, everything was way overdosed on it. Brisket isn't cut properly, and looks more like short rib than brisket.

The steak and spinach salad is really good. They have NFL ticket. The food is always good here. Good for big groups.

Being from Alabama and enjoying the great BBQ that we have there it is hard to put a review out there but here goes. As far as chains go they are decent. The portions are decent and the sauces are decent. You notice that I am putting decent a lot that is because everything is passible here, not great but not to bad. The last time we were there I had the smoked turnkey and sausage, the sausage was great but the turkey was overly dry but other than that my sons kids portion of chicken nuggets and fries were cooked good and good portion size. I am sure that there are reviews better and worse than mine but at the end of the day mediocre will bring people in the door when it pertains to food because taste is in the mouth of the beholder. read more

This place was not busy for a Saturday. Walked in and waited for a few minutes until someone finally came to welcome us and take us to a table. I order their Avocado Turkey Burger. It only had one small slice of avocado in it (it was the size of a quarter), a small piece of lettuce (like I order a $1 burger at a fast food joint), a nice slice of tomato and red onion. I was expecting a few slices of avocado not one since it's in the name of my burger. Turkey Burger is well seasoned but a little on the salty side for me. Husband order their southwest scorcher and enjoyed it. Service was good. I think they are a little pricey. Not sure if I will go back yet. We shall see. Everyone deserves a second chance read more

I'm only giving them 2 stars because my beer was cold. Otherwise my food was nothing good to write about. Ordered the stacked baked potato and there was barely any pork for the price we paid. Came with a side Caesar and they put half the bottle of dressing, gross. I cant recommend this place. The food was awful. I ordered southwest spring rolls and a rack of baby back ribs. The ribs were dry and i spent more time scraping the bones to get the meat off than eating them. Avoid the southwest spring rolls. Apparently there is chicken in them somewhere but they taste like over fried rice filled high margin mash. BJ's across the street has far better spring rolls. The food looked and tasted as if it was prepared a prior day and reheated. Plenty of better choices in the area to eat - choose someplace else. read more

This was a very sad and disappointing experience! It took over 45 minutes for us to receive our meal, but the restaurant didn't appear to be very busy on a slow Monday afternoon. The waitress did not give us plates, silverware, or napkins with our appetizers; Once she delivered the items, she was on to the next table without pausing to see if we needed anything. We had to wave down the manager to get the items. Many of the items on the menu were not available for lunch and only served after 4:00pm. Why have them on the menu? Perhaps separate the items and put them on a "dinner only" menu to distinguish from the "lunch menu." Finally, I had a long black hair in my fries. Eh. Smokey Bones used to be a great "middle ground" place to get some decent BBQ and other bar foods and some awesome doughnuts. Admittedly, I have been there in about a year. This recent experience was quite different from days gone by. It started with the bugs and other debris in the lemonade. Although apologies came from the waitress and manager, that's all we got. We opted for water instead. The pulled pork was "okay", but the barely-steamed broccoli was neatly raw. I MIGHT try one more time for dinner (I won't go out of my way, though.) under the assumption that 1)lunch was not their thing and 2)my positive history with the place, but a 2nd strike, and they're out. read more

The drinks are hit or miss, last 3 mojitos I had were very underpoured and one even tasteless. That being said, the food has never disappointed. We had not been to this place in quite awhile like 5 yrs. First visit it was way to noisy. Decided to check it out again on a Sunday noon visit. It was not crowded and we were seated within 10 min. There are no tables here your seat is a wooden booth. Our drink orders were taken, and then we placed the order. Surprisingly it was slow getting out to us. As we sat there waiting, my daughter was checking out the sauces on the table. Each one of the items was very sticky and looked like it had not been wiped off or changed in some time. She also noted the dividing portion of the seating had a large amount of dust very vizable to the eye. Had not been cleaned in some time. We then placed our orders. My husband and I ordered the steak. My daughter the burger with the egg. We got our salads first and they were Ok. The croutons were very stale did not eat them. We ordered the steak medium, and came out medium rare. Had to send mine back. My daughter's egg was hard as a rock, so she had to wait to cook another egg which took some time...? It is only an egg. Seconds came out for the drinks, and my little pint jar with the handle had a large section of glass missing on the rim which was very vizable. I brought that to their attention. The food here is average. The only thing to write home about are the mini donuts with sauces....very tasty. This place needs a good cleaning and faster service. read more
