What a smoky bbq that pork ribs were so amazing tenderness, tasty n delicious!!! The meats pork were cooking right on with yummy barbecue sauce on top!! A side dish of potatoes salad plus soda drinks that it was perfect lunch on the weekend!! Service was counter top n they served customers well communication and efficient!! They have the seating inside ice chilling with air conditioning if we get hot even in the winter time!!! Plus outside seating with a rooftop ... it's warm n sunny in the winter time too!!

Excellent barbecue, the brisket was MOIST! Loved the sides and coleslaw as well as the big squares of cornbread. Service was very friendly. The only downside is there's not a lot of shaded seating if you want to eat outside. My brother got the ribs and ate the whole slab. It was a great lunch. Also they have Coke Zero which is a huge plus to me. Big enough parking lot too.

We've been looking for a local BBQ spot and this was a great find! The signature bbq sauce tastes like it maybe has curry in it? But overall a great Kansas City bbq. The seating is limited inside so much better as a to go option, the service was quick though! We tried the burnt ends and rib tips, both cooked to perfection. The side of potato salad was also a hefty portion. The only miss was the Mac n cheese, it looked and tasted like something from the grocery store refrigerated section.

This is a business which was a real pleasure to support. We were fortunate to have eaten here. Kansas City BBQ. Mild, not salty, fall off the bone tender. Brisket literally melted in the mouth. Ribs were perfectly done and soft/delectable. My chicken was thoroughly cooked and not greasy nor dry. Sides: Exceptional collard greens. Not salty. Perfect! Beans: NOT SWEET thank God! Perfect! Coleslaw: lightly dressed the way it should be! This business deserves all the love and praise. FIVE GLOWING STARS! Best wishes, Deborah and Gary from Toronto, Canada.

This is definitely a hole in the wall, but that can lead to some surprises. We got a combo plate and a sandwich. The sandwich was good, but they had just one sauce which was too tomato forward. The brisket on the sandwich was good, but the platter's brisket was a good portion of fat. The turkey tasted like deli turkey with no smoke ring. The mac was good, a little watery. The potato salad was good. The cornbread would've been great if they used honey instead of syrup. The price wasn't hole in the wall prices. I'm glad I tried it out, but probably won't go again.

Small building surrounded by a delicate aroma of smoking meats, and it smells delicious!! Small parking lot gets full when busy. Ambiance/Cleanliness-A KC, MO kinda vibe. Very clean. Indoor seating, cozy tables. 4 stars. Service-Warm and welcoming...efficient. 4 stars. Food. Have had dry rub wings, rib tips and brisket. The brisket was above average, but meats come sauced unless requested otherwise, so I couldnt check bark. Wings are up there with the best, smokey and flavorful. Rib tips also excellent. Sauce is thick with horseradish and celery seed. 4 stars

Went in person on a weeknight and ordered to go. Service was ok, not friendly but not rude. We ordered the 3 meats 3 sides combo with pulled pork, ribs, and brisket and for the sides, fries, mac and cheese, and potato salad. The meats were tender but needed more sauce. The fries were awful, almost burned and some fries were hard and some soggy and very greasy. we had to throw those away. The Mac and cheese and potato salad were good. There is seating inside and out.

Walked in and was immediately greeted with a bit of an off-putting vibe from the lady behind the counter--definitely got the side-eye--but I chose not to take it personally and kept an open mind. We ordered the 2 meat, 2 side plate. Originally wanted the tri tip and brisket, but they were out of tri tip, so we switched to pulled pork. The portion size was ehhh As for the food: the pulled pork was absolutely perfect--tender, flavorful, and exactly what you'd hope for. The potato salad was also a standout--creamy, well-seasoned, and delicious. Unfortunately, the brisket was mostly fat, which was a letdown. The mac and cheese had a unique sweet flavor, but it didn't really hit the mark for us in terms of cheesiness--it's a little hard to describe, but it just felt like something was missing. All in all, this is just my personal take.

The one thing I don't like about barbecue places is coming out smelling like I've just been smoked myself. That being said, I truly do appreciate this place because it's a simple menu and the prices were not too bad. The lady at the front was very friendly and I appreciated her promptness and getting my order ready so the service was excellent with that regards. They also told me originally that they ran out of chicken, but they didn't and made my order happen. I like the outdoor seating and the inside seating was not too shabby. But I would prefer sitting outside, especially if you can tolerate the shaded area and not coming out like smoke. The barbecue was pretty good and I just wish there was more sauce smothered all over my chicken. I'm a saucy type of guy if you're in the neck of the woods for this place, then please stop by.

We are not in Texas but Tucson is close enough. Who doesn't like some good ole BBQ?…read more Here is what we ordered: - The Bashful Tray for 2 for $47. It comes with 1/2 lb sliced brisket, 1/2 lb of other meat of your choice, 3 sides, half a sour pickle and a smoked crack pie). The friendly cashier informed us the sausages were an additional $3 today so we decided to add it to our order as well. My major complaint about BBQ is dry, tough and overly salty meats. OMG, this was the most tender and juicy brisket I have ever had. And don't get me started on the pulled pork, it was perfectly seasoned. Just wished I had it on a bun instead. My son went crazy for the Sonoran spicy sausage. My favorite side was the dill potato salad. I had to ask, Toby the owner, where the cute name, Bashful Bandit Barbecue comes from. He said I was asking some great questions. Lol. Place used to be a biker's bar. When he took over he decided to just keep the name. We had a lovely and engaging conversation with him. He is one smart guy, graduated from NYU and Northern Arizona University. He welcomes each customer by asking where they are from. Who else does that?? Entire staff are incredibly friendly. Highly recommend this spot for the best BBQ in Tucson. You'll thank me. It was wonderful meeting you, Toby!!

We did the Bashful Tray: brisket, ribs, beans, potato salad and mac n cheese along with a pickle and a smoked crack pie. Added a sunflower crunch salad (vinegar coleslaw) a blueberry gouda sausage and a chile relleno sausage. Little ones had the Kiddo's plates with chicken. Everyone seemed to really like the meats. Mac n cheese and beans were just OK from what I was told. I ate a couple bites of each of the sausages, coleslaw, potato salad and a bite of the pie. Sausages were just OK for me. I loved the coleslaw and thought the potato salad was very dill pickle-y but delicious. The one thing that truly stand out for me: EXCELLENT customer service. The staff was so helpful in helping us choose items and they really seemed to care about whether their guests are enjoying the experience.

I loved this place and frankly, although great Mexican food in Tucson is a given, I didn't know they had good barbeque too. They had all my favorites, so my wife and I decided to split the The Big "Q" Platter for $38. This included Brisket, Pulled Pork, Tri-tip, Sausage, Turkey, two St. Louis Style Pork Ribs, and 4 slices of toast with our choice of two eight-ounce sides (we chose the baked beans and coleslaw. My favorites were the Ribs, Brisket, Tri-tip, and baked beans. The turky was solid and smokey. I'm not really a fan of sausage, but my wife enjoyed these. I loved that you could really taste the smokey taste and that everything was fresh, juicy, and tender. The baked beans were the kind of love, with pieces of pork throughout the mixture. Because we split this platter (with leftovers), it was quite a good deal. When the bill came, the waitress listed a bunch of things that qualified for an extra discount, so we scored an additional 10% off for being seniors. As someone who frequented this restaurant for the last few years, I had a firsthand look at how things were run, and in my experience management operated very unprofessionally. It ultimately pushed me to stop supporting this business, and based on those experiences, I can no longer recommend it. There are far better BBQ options out there. From what I personally witnessed, the owner, David, was consistently disrespectful toward employees and created a company culture that I don't believe deserves support. While, I don't live under a rock. I do live on the complete opposite side of town from Rudy's so I've never actually eaten there before but I had an appointment today about a quarter of a mile away, so took the opportunity to give it a try. I was immediately greeted by a person in what must be the store area and when I looked a little confused, she asked if I had ever been here before when I said no she told me how to go around the corner. Check out the menu and order from there. This is where we hit my five star experience. I came at a good time at about 3:30 so there weren't any other people standing in line. I stood to the side and checked out the menu and was a little confused by the brisket options. One said lean brisket and one said moist brisket I went to the counter and ask the girl at the register, (Diana) what the difference was. She asked me if I had ever been to Rudy's and when I said no, she said, very excitedly well, let me give you a sample of each of them and then went on to explain the lean brisket was just that and the moist brisket was just the opposite more fat, but more flavor. Each had a good flavor, but I went with the moist brisket as well as pulled pork. The menu shows orders in half pound increments however Diana told me I could get as much or little as I wanted. She said she's had people get as little as an eighth of a pound or something as strange as 5 2/3 pound. I liked that flexibility because I was a little torn with feedthree people if a half pound would not be enough or a full pound of each would be too much. She then explained to me if I wanted a cold side they were in a self-serve refrigerator to the side and also offered me samples of those. My BF is very picky about coleslaw and potato salad so I took a sample of each. Both were good so I went with both. She also offered me hot samples and recommended the creamed corn. But since it was 109° outside I passed on those. She said my order would come with bread a choice of either white or wheat sliced. And I could have as many slices as I needed. She then filled me in on the Fixin's bar, which had cherry peppers, jalapeños, and carrots, onions, pickles, and an assortment of condiments, like mustard, mayonnaise and horseradish. I chose a large drink to enjoy on the drive home and she recommended the sweet tea or an Arnold Palmer. I really can't say enough great things about Diana. Not only was she helpful, but she was so outgoing and friendly and seemed to really love her job which you don't see a lot anymore. I'll update my review once we have a chance to eat our food, but I would seriously go into Rudy's again just to talk to Diana. As my grandma would say, she's a treasure.
