We were able to get a seat right away, which was great! The dining room was incredibly large so it seemed that wait times were minimal. While we were fortunate enough to have a booth for 4-6 people, other tables in the center of the dining room were VERY close together. The couple across the aisle from us had another table so close to them that their baby's highchair was touching the other table. The food was fine, but nothing exciting or wowing. Very nice sized menu with something for everybody and not too large where you just cannot decide. The pancakes were excellent, the warm syrup just made them that much better. Oh my goodness this was a delightful breakfast the pancakes were light and fluffy and the service was quick and efficient. One if the best breakfast meals I've had in the Smokies and I have been coming here for decades! The servers were friendly and the log cabin decor was warm and homey. We came in through here around 10 in the morning. We had to wait around 5-10 minutes for a seating and after that service was speedy. Our waitress was friendly, constant check in and refills. The grits were delicious, just wished were given more grits. The pancakes were okay, wish they were a tad more sweeter. I have to admit that I was starving and forgot to take a picture of my omelette. I ordered the veggie omelette with hashbrowns for my side. I also had to order pancakes because they looked so great. The omelette was amazing and covered half of my plate , the other half was covered with hashbrowns The pancakes were also the size of the plate. Everything was delicious. I will say that the food quality has unfortunately gone downhill from what I remember it being in previous years. I had the Spanish Skillet, and the hash didn't taste super fresh. The place has a rustic cabin feel to it, we went about 10am on a Monday, so it wasn't too busy, The only real issue we had and not sure how it could be avoided but because the air conditioner and ceiling fans were going, the food cooled off real quick as soon as we received it.
