Came here for the pineapple upside down pancakes. They didn't disappoint. However, the bacon was a greasy floppy mess even though I ordered it extra crispy. The coffee was strong and the eggs were okay. The service was good, and the atmosphere was pretty good. We waited probably 15 mins for a table, which wasn't terrible. Overall, it was a decent meal.

We come to Pigeon Forge quite often and never visit the numerous pancake houses. We always go somewhere else. This time we decided to stop and stopped at the first one on the left as your leaving Gatlinburg driving into Pigeon Forge. It's not as big as some of the ones I've seen but don't let that stop you from trying this Gem! Upon arrival everything was decorated so cute for Christmas. The staff were all so nice and chatty. I ordered a omelette with bacon, sausage and ham ( protein ya know ) and it was perfectly cooked. No crispy edges and I had grits and they were delicious. My husband got the corned beef hash and it was so so good and was crispy. Everything was cooked perfectly and they give you your own carafe of coffee . I did get 2 plain pancakes for me and my husband to try and they were so fluffy and the syrup served warm. Definitely don't pass this Gem. I can't wait to go back !

Great service, great food and not too overcrowded. The staff was extremely friendly and smiled all throughout our service. We enjoyed being able to get in and seated quickly. Food was amazing. All of my family members were pleased and raved about their food. Even my picky 5 year old. I had be sausage patties cabin breakfast. It came with 2 pan sausages, 2 pancakes eggs. Don't skip out on this place, bypass the others, you won't regret.

our server was absolutely amazing. she was super sweet and very helpful! i ordered this veggie omelette but asked for egg whites and added a side of bacon (the meal couldn't be subbed for bacon over the hash browns so i got both and just didn't eat the hash browns.) the omelette was great but needed hot sauce which our waitress was very kind to bring for me. the bacon was crispy and had a very nice flavor. i was satisfied with the clean restaurant as well, and would definitely come back!

Food quality / price (value) rating 6. The atmosphere is open cafeteria style. I had the plain buttermilk pancakes with a side of bacon. The pancakes were practically inedible and served with rock hard butter - pretty much useless. The bacon was very low quality and served cold. The wife had a veggie omelet with hash browns. The onelet was okay she said, but the hash browns were served cold.

Food was good and service was great. Our waitress was nice. We had a big group and the food was served fast.

Jessica made our first visit to the Smokys absolutely memorable. It's not every day you meet such a friendly and down to earth server. She truly went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and even took the time to chat with us. The restaurant itself has a cozy, farm style atmosphere, and the menu is straightforward. Jessica recommended the pineapple cakes, and they were fantastic! I was really impressed by these warm, fluffy, and decadent cakes, packed with flavor and not overly sweet. They're definitely a must try if you're stopping by for breakfast. Everything else we ordered was great too, including the turkey patties and a single biscuit. The coffee was also good, just your classic diner style brew. But again, the real highlights were our waitress, Jessica, and the delicious pineapple cakes.

Place was meh-looking, like a random boring diner with booths. Service was markedly slow and we were just three people. The blueberry lemon pancake was very good and pretty big. The big bear breakfast platter I had was ho-hum. The scrambled eggs were not good and the grits were bland. The casserole and biscuit were pretty good. The bacon was overdone, crispy and tasteless. There's a million pancake houses in this area, but looks like we chose a somewhat disappointing one. At least the pancake had a flavorful combination so it didn't besmirch their inclusion in the restaurant's name.

The place was very busy and they said there was a wait but the wait was less than 5 mins. Our server was Tony and he was very good at his job and friendly. The food was good for a pancake house my banana nut pancakes were good and delicious. Like I said the pancake house was crazy busy and tables close together that it could be a bit much so the ambiance was kinda loud. Overall good food but not great, our server was great and the restaurant is busy.

Good breakfast place with really nice servers and good food. I definitely suggest this place to anyone in the area, we had strawberry cheesecake pancakes which were amazing.

I saw the health inspection score is 94. I'm not sure why. It was very clean. My utensils was even warm. The menu was high. The the sides and add ons was a little pricy. The quantity was good. I got the Western omelette with hash browns. My husband got the Cheesecake custard pancakes with blueberries and cream cheese and a side of hashbrowns. My omelette was quite thick, but not runny. So that's good. The hash browns were not as crispy than I expected. My husband loved his pancakes. The waitress was not attentive. I loved the bathroom sink. It has a design like the old days.

Tony was our server, pretty funny guy; "he will attempt to help us out with the menu "and very knowledgeable of the menu. The selections can be upgraded to more food for a small cost.

But if you're looking for a sandwich that consists of chicken tenders between two glazed donuts, then this is your place. Sawyer's has other things that are not so county-fair forward. They are known for breakfast: French toast, pancakes, omelettes. If you get pancakes or waffles or the like, you should definitely ask for their house-made peanut butter syrup. It's amazing and so unlike anything that I've ever tasted. I got an omelette, which was good and had a lot of stuff in it. They will give you hot sauce upon request, which I was grateful for because I thought the omelette needed it. One thing that's really cool about Sawyer's is that they seem to take food allergies very seriously. That's always nice to see! As you're entering or exiting, make sure to admire the decor. It looks like you're in a barn, and as you exit, there's a gift shop with stuffed animals, t-shirts and other things to commemorate your visit to Sawyer's. This is a fun little place that's great for families, for sure.

I went with the Black Bear Sampler, and this thing came out in a cast-iron skillet looking like breakfast had decided to show off. Eggs, ham, bacon, sausage gravy, grits, potatoes, biscuit--the whole works. And somehow, instead of being a giant pile of average food, everything was fantastic. That's what impressed me most. Plenty of places can make one great breakfast item. When you order a sampler this big, usually something gets left behind. Not here. Every part of it earned its spot in that skillet. The portions are huge, the food is excellent, and this is exactly what I picture when I think of a real Smoky Mountain breakfast: hearty, simple, and done right. I ordered the traditional schnitzel (pork cutlet that was pounded thin). It was not breaded, but it was coated with egg and flour and prepared well. I had the German potato salad and red cabbage side orders. Both were served warm as is custom. I was a bit upset that the waiter gave me the bill when the meal was finished. I told him it was my birthday and that I had wanted coffee and cake. He took the bill and crumpled it in his hand. The portion of cake that he presented could have easily served three! I left the top frosting. The chocolate cake was moist and the frosting between the layers was German chocolate. Available seating offerings were a booth, table, or a table al fresco. It had the beer garden appeal. I opted to sit inside. The restaurant is also very family oriented (as are most things in Pigeon Forge).
