Came here for the pineapple upside down pancakes. They didn't disappoint. However, the bacon was a greasy floppy mess even though I ordered it extra crispy. The coffee was strong and the eggs were okay. The service was good, and the atmosphere was pretty good. We waited probably 15 mins for a table, which wasn't terrible. Overall, it was a decent meal.

Food quality / price (value) rating 6. The atmosphere is open cafeteria style. I had the plain buttermilk pancakes with a side of bacon. The pancakes were practically inedible and served with rock hard butter - pretty much useless. The bacon was very low quality and served cold. The wife had a veggie omelet with hash browns. The onelet was okay she said, but the hash browns were served cold.

Food was good and service was great. Our waitress was nice. We had a big group and the food was served fast.

Jessica made our first visit to the Smokys absolutely memorable. It's not every day you meet such a friendly and down to earth server. She truly went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and even took the time to chat with us. The restaurant itself has a cozy, farm style atmosphere, and the menu is straightforward. Jessica recommended the pineapple cakes, and they were fantastic! I was really impressed by these warm, fluffy, and decadent cakes, packed with flavor and not overly sweet. They're definitely a must try if you're stopping by for breakfast. Everything else we ordered was great too, including the turkey patties and a single biscuit. The coffee was also good, just your classic diner style brew. But again, the real highlights were our waitress, Jessica, and the delicious pineapple cakes.

Place was meh-looking, like a random boring diner with booths. Service was markedly slow and we were just three people. The blueberry lemon pancake was very good and pretty big. The big bear breakfast platter I had was ho-hum. The scrambled eggs were not good and the grits were bland. The casserole and biscuit were pretty good. The bacon was overdone, crispy and tasteless. There's a million pancake houses in this area, but looks like we chose a somewhat disappointing one. At least the pancake had a flavorful combination so it didn't besmirch their inclusion in the restaurant's name.

The place was very busy and they said there was a wait but the wait was less than 5 mins. Our server was Tony and he was very good at his job and friendly. The food was good for a pancake house my banana nut pancakes were good and delicious. Like I said the pancake house was crazy busy and tables close together that it could be a bit much so the ambiance was kinda loud. Overall good food but not great, our server was great and the restaurant is busy.

I saw the health inspection score is 94. I'm not sure why. It was very clean. My utensils was even warm. The menu was high. The the sides and add ons was a little pricy. The quantity was good. I got the Western omelette with hash browns. My husband got the Cheesecake custard pancakes with blueberries and cream cheese and a side of hashbrowns. My omelette was quite thick, but not runny. So that's good. The hash browns were not as crispy than I expected. My husband loved his pancakes. The waitress was not attentive. I loved the bathroom sink. It has a design like the old days.

Good breakfast place with really nice servers and good food. I definitely suggest this place to anyone in the area, we had strawberry cheesecake pancakes which were amazing.

Tony was our server, pretty funny guy; "he will attempt to help us out with the menu "and very knowledgeable of the menu. The selections can be upgraded to more food for a small cost.

best breakfast in the smokies, great service and great prices . this is always our first and last breakfast on our trip

Pancakes. Man I wanted to taste this stack of delicious looking carbs but I blinked and they were gone. Thank goodness.

This place was jumping with business! Plenty of parking and all through a line we didn't wait long. They know how to flip tables. The food came out quick and was tasty. We were fluid and ready for the day. The staff were so friendly and nice. The deco was of course cabin like. Fun things on the wall for conversation and nostalgia.

    Excellent hashbrown casserole

Loved the hashbrown casserole! Very creamy cheesy goodness with the potatoes. This was my favorite thing to eat. Cream cheese pancake was yummy. I reduced from 3 to 2 pancakes and it was still too much for me to handle. The cream cheese filling was okay. Just a bit in the sweet side. The pancake themselves were a bit dry imo. My hubby's pancakes had a hair in it. So we sent it back as that was very upsetting as we waited a bit to get our food as others got theirs b4 us even after being seated later. My pet peeve was our booth table was next to the busboy station. In which it was extremely unsettling talking to someone and the busboy is standing right behind your table. I couldn't enjoy my food with the feeling of being watched. Had to switch seat sides. Busboy area should never be near/in the dining area. Period. Our waiter, Richard, was very accommodating. However, he should have offered to comp the meal, offer to fix something else in the house, and apologize for the hair being in the food. But he didn't. If it wasn't for the hair, booth location, we would have gone back. Just for the hash brown casserole imo.

Solid 4 stars for Smoky's Pancake Cabin not to be confused with the Pancake House. Found this spot off Yelp and some great reviews and people weren't wrong. We got there early so there were a few others there but within minutes the parking lot and seat weee full. The decor made us feel like we were sitting in someone home kitchen and the service from our server Megan was outstanding!!! The food was out quick and was not only hot off the griddle but soooo FRESH!!! We all enjoyed every bite!! Portions are huge and filling. You have so many choices in Pigeon Forge make sure to make this one of your stops!!! P.S. my only criticism is the sweet tea was not sweet at all but that's nothing in the grand scheme.

Gordon Ramsey would consider it a threat. As a chewy bacon lover and enthusiast, when my bacon came out charred and demented, i was appalled to say the least. I had to drench it in the white gravy so it would give my stomach the illusion of chewy. Even then, even with the request of chewy, i was let down. The home fries were exceptional.. as exceptional as any other home fry you'll get on the Pigeon Forge strip. And why? They'll all the same refrigerated chips of processed mess. Soggy, not even crisp. So poor you'd hope the microwave would add additional flavors from all the other food they microwaved. I wouldn't even praise the food if paid me, it's sad enough i paid IT to taste like wet squeaky boots. But anyways the atmosphere was just bewildering! They have a big exhibit with birds you can watch. Sometimes they're loud and a bit squawk-y but it doesn't deplete the experience. This is my internal conflict with a certain drink on the menu. The Monster. This satanic abomination soup of a beverage really tempted me. I drink energy drinks and was excited to try a Monster! I mean.. we're all a little adventurous deep down.. human nature! Wrong. Apparently.. With full fledged confidence.. as much as you'd expect at a busy bar playing BINGO.. I asked the waitress for a Monster energy drink. Big. Mistake. I get it.. I took an unsuspecting picture of the beast waiting.. opened it.. and took a sip. If you were to ask me, giving somebody a pedicure with your MOUTH would taste no different than a can of this monstrosity. Maybe I recommend the restaurant.. but I don't recommend the Monster. The online menu gave plenty of eye candy and we were absolutely starving by the time we arrived Friday evening. The staff was very attentive and kind. It's clear that this place is fully operated by word-of-mouth and return guests. It's a huge establishment with several rooms by big fireplaces and Lazy Susan's to pass around the family style meal. The menu was a little difficult to navigate so many options laid out, but only certain options available per day. So ultimately, we were not able to order exactly what we wanted, but we ordered what was available for Friday, which was the Salisbury steak, fried fish, and fried chicken. All of these meats came in a small portion to split amongst our three people, and with unlimited sides. Some of the sides were pretty impressive. I would have to say my favorite side was the broccoli casserole, followed by the mashed potatoes and gravy, which were real potatoes! The mac & cheese was more on the creamy side versus the gooey cheesy side. Unfortunately, some of our chicken was undercooked, and the skin was very thin and not too crispy. The fish was decent, not dried out whatsoever, which is a pretty good compliment. While my coworker said that the chicken and dumplings were her favorite, I failed to enjoy them :( All in all, this was not our favorite restaurant from our trip this weekend and it appears that big groups and big families really do enjoy dining at this establishment.

What started as a simple stop turned into one of the more enjoyable experiences of our trip. The star of the visit was our guide, who took us on a cider journey through the various flavors and offerings. She was friendly, knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely seemed to enjoy what she was doing. She answered questions, explained the differences between the ciders, and made the tasting experience fun instead of feeling like a sales pitch. And since there's a chance she might somehow see this review: Happy 40th Birthday! Sorry I forgot your name, but your hospitality certainly wasn't forgettable. Now let's talk about the cider. Excellent. There was a large variety of flavors available to sample, making it easy to compare styles and find a favorite. Whether you're new to cider or consider yourself a seasoned enthusiast, there's enough variety here to keep things interesting. After sampling our way through the lineup, we wound up purchasing a glass of the original apple cider and enjoyed it outside. And honestly, that's where the experience really came together. Sitting outside with a fresh cider in hand, playing cornhole and Jenga, enjoying the atmosphere, and slowing down for a little while made for a genuinely relaxing afternoon. No rushing. No crowds pushing you along. Just good cider and good company. We also picked up a growler to bring back to the hotel because one thing became very clear during the tasting process: leaving empty-handed would have been a mistake. The Apple Barn Cider Mill does a great job creating an experience that's welcoming, fun, and memorable without feeling overly commercialized. Great cider. Great staff. Great atmosphere. Five stars.
