I arrived around 4pm on a Sunday after a long hike in a group of 8. We were hungry!! The first place someone chose ended up being a drive through early. I found this fairly quickly and it was an amazing choice. This place is located downtown and there so happened to be some type of even going on too. Parking was not horrible, as we parked in a lot that was around the corner. We had to order at the register and then someone would bring out the food. I ordered chicken and waffles for my kid and I (we each got an order of it). I got a side of bacon. The waffle was delicious! The chicken could've been seasoned a bit more, and the bacon could've been crispier but it was good. The Prices are GREAT and the staff were friendly. We were all satisfied. read more

This is one of my favorite lunch spot is in Brevard! I've had the luck to meet the hardworking owners and their son on several occasions so we always try to make it there whenever we're in town! We always try to support local whenever we can, especially when it's clear how much they care about being a quality place that is family friendly too! When you walk in you'll immediately notice the century old wooden floor, dark wood bar, and tin ceiling which literally set the stage for this delicious restaurant to be an experience you'll want to try. Rather than sitting down right away, head up to the cash register where you'll put in your order and they'll hand you a number so you can pick any table that's available. On nicer days, they even have a couple of outdoor tables that you can sit at directly in front. Most importantly though, their menu consist of tasty crafted dishes, sandwiches, and salads. Make sure to try out their breakfast items too as everything we've tried on the menu has been worthy of writing home about. What a lovely time we had here! Absolutely nothing to complain about. Found in the downtown of Brevard, which is a quaint little area, we walked in and had ourselves a morning. Each of our meals was cooked to perfection and there was nothing left on any of any of our plates! If I could have given more than 5 stars, I would! Fresh food and quality ingredients. The whole restaurant is adorable and they even have a coffee bar if you're not there for food. It's a walk up style where you order, take a number and they bring the food to your table. You serve yourself drinks as well with plenty of condiments available on the side as well. Staff was friendly and attentive and happy to be there! You seat yourself and you may have to wait a bit since it's such a good place, but I promise you will not be disappointed! read more

Everything about it was Amazing - especially the special touches in presentation( real, edible , beautiful flowers). Large portions, inexpensive but quality for sure. I want to go back all the way from GVL just go there. Staff was great too, it's counter service and the cashier asked if I would be interested in adding a 5% tip for the staff without turning the card reader around in my face to make me feel obligated ! I used Smokey Sunrise to cater a Chamber of Commerce event at my business in Brevard. Being my first time planning a catered event with a lot of unknowns, I wasn't sure about quantity or selection. Mike sat down with me and gave me honest opinions on how much I was ordering and whether I was overkilling things with my planning. Taking Mike's advice, I adjusted my order, and we had plenty of food for everyone! I truly appreciated Mike's honesty and experience-related advice. He knows his stuff! The food was incredible! I had over 60+ guests at the event and everyone was raving about how great the food was. The food totally matched the vibe of what I was going for with my event. The Bang-Bang Shrimp was a huge hit and people were lining up to get seconds. We had bruschetta as a starter and it was phenomenal! We also had pulled pork sliders, chicken salad croissants, vegetable medley, mashed potatoes, and cole slaw. Food taste, quality, and presentation were top-notch! Mike and Maria took the time to review my setup and went to great lengths to ensure I was ready for my event. Given our business is located in a old warehouse, they made it feel special which could be a challenge when you are dealing with an old location like mine. Afterward, Ryan and Angel were there for a quick and efficient takedown of everything. From setup to takedown, everyone was super-friendly and kept checking with me to make sure I was a satisfied customer. Spoiler-alert! I was a completely satisfied customer! I would recommend not only their daily menu in their restaurant, but their catering menu as well for any event you may plan. The food is great. The service was impeccable. Horribly rude at the register. Ordered breakfast and asked what kind of toast - man at register told me to read the menu. I had left my glasses - how hard is it to say white, sourdough etc. This is not the first time I have experienced this with same individual at register. My oldest grandson has Aspergers so I am used to anti-social behaviour but this is blatently rude. Most of us in Brevard are in "service" and depend on this service to generate income. Also we have the opportunity to recommend each other. Never again. He missed the opportunity to say, "we have the best toast in town." Missed a chance to upsell his business. read more

Been coming here lately for brunch or lunch with buds. Service is always good, the food ranges from good to great. I highly recommend coming here and seeing how a luncheonette restaurant should be. Not fast food nonsense. I wish the cashiers would ask if you want to leave a 15% tip because all they ask is for 10%. I leave 20%. These folks work hard and the food is worth it. When you go to a brewery, you usually leave $1 or whatever change is left each time you buy a beer. Do something good for servers besides tipping heavy for bartenders. read more

Food was very good. Delicious omelet but I missed the good European bread! Very clean and lots of good choices on the menu. Nice decor but little on the noisy side due to the large cavernous space. Food was A+, I got the French dip sandwich and the bread was so soft- we predict it must be local. The tomato basil soup was seasoned perfectly and was overall delicious.
