What a lovely time we had here! Absolutely nothing to complain about. Found in the downtown of Brevard, which is a quaint little area, we walked in and had ourselves a morning. Each of our meals was cooked to perfection and there was nothing left on any of any of our plates! If I could have given more than 5 stars, I would! Fresh food and quality ingredients. The whole restaurant is adorable and they even have a coffee bar if you're not there for food. It's a walk up style where you order, take a number and they bring the food to your table. You serve yourself drinks as well with plenty of condiments available on the side as well. Staff was friendly and attentive and happy to be there! You seat yourself and you may have to wait a bit since it's such a good place, but I promise you will not be disappointed!

I like the diversity in food choices, plus the casual nice atmosphere. Service is pay first and then they bring food to table while self service drinks. No alcohol.

As a millennial, I must eat avocado toasts pretty often. This one is truly delicious, with salmon and caramel sauce.

I would give six stars. Highly recommend visiting! Delicious breakfast, nice ambiance. The place was almost full on Tuesday morning.

Everything about it was Amazing - especially the special touches in presentation( real, edible , beautiful flowers). Large portions, inexpensive but quality for sure. I want to go back all the way from GVL just go there. Staff was great too, it's counter service and the cashier asked if I would be interested in adding a 5% tip for the staff without turning the card reader around in my face to make me feel obligated ! I was so impressed that she asked for such a minimal amount that I gave them 20% ! I was so impressed with how they handled that and everything. Def check it out when in the area.

The food was excellent, but the portion was left wanting. I paid $14.94 for a plate for shrimp and grits. Presentation was good except there was only 1/2 cup of grits with the serving. Not enough for a full meal at that price.

Once we entered the building, we were greeted by a friendly hostess and promptly seated in booth. Our server was friendly and attentive and was helpful when I was struggling to decide on my meal. I ordered the corned beef bowl and wow, I think that was probably the best corned beef that I have ever had! I do wish the rest of the bowl would have been more flavorful/better seasoned though. It was a cute atmosphere and would certainly return again. Thanks for a nice breakfast experience!

Since Brevard is a small town, I wasn't expecting to find such a good bakery, but the baked goods looked delicious as soon as we walked in. In addition to the bakery items, they also have a dining room. Since it was between lunch and dinner, we were told to order at the counter, and the only things available were salads and pizza. We ordered a sausage pizza and a Caesar salad, which turned out to be the perfect-sized lunch. Both the pizza and salad were delicious. We sat in the otherwise empty dining room, eating lunch while I watched the bakers working in the back and kept eyeing all the baked goods. Before leaving, we picked up a few goodies for the road. Pisgah Bakehouse is definitely worth the stop, and I'm glad we found it.

When you pay $6 for a small pastry, it feels a little bad when they don't say "thank you" or "how can I help you" or "what would you like" ... more than once I've been here and had the experience that I'm bothering the employee just by being there. Bought a cardamom bun today and while I love cardamom this was still an overly strong flavor. Lovely texture, though. I had a specialty croissant a while back when I was in the area and left with it. It was uncooked in the middle so I called to let them know (thinking they would want to pull the remaining ones). Whoever I spoke with was appropriately apologetic and told me next time I was there to tell the clerk that so and so wanted me to have a replacement on the house. A few months later I was in the area again and was met with such hostility and skepticism when I mentioned the "freebie" that I wished I'd never bothered. As for the bakes? Everything really does look good. The lunch menu looks great although I've never had anything. The coffee is nice and strong. Prices are high, but that's everywhere.

It's not just creative for the sake of it--the food delivers. Great balance, great presentation, and dishes that actually live up to the vision. I called over to the Square Root to check the kitchen timing (it was getting on 8) and all was well. We managed a seat at the bar and this was perfect for us. We chatted a bit with the servers, who were amazing. There is a ton enjoyment for the job and the space going on here. We also met some semi-locals who were awesome. Shout out to "Kendall-Jackson"! The menu is full of local ingredients and plenty of temptations. The specials were even more tempting and we grabbed oysters to kick it off. The pepper/spicy mignonette is so so good. It's just the right mix of classic and new. I didn't need the other sauce, especially with just 6 oysters. I eyed the yellowtail snapper (snapper, right? def not tuna) special, but opted for the Korean chicken sandwich. Quite good! I could have used a stronger flavor from the kimchi and, frankly, less of a mess, but the cook was just right, the flavor profiles were excellent, and the portion was plenty. A really good sandwich! I had the sweet potato chips as my side and I can see why they are popular. We kept the leftover sauces from the oysters just so I could dip my chips. Good call! She Said: I'd like to start by complimenting the fantastic staff. They've obviously been here a while, and they're enthusiastic about this place. He Said covered the oysters (yum!) and the mignonette (double yum!), so I'll focus on the mushroom tart that I got as my meal. The rough puff was really done well, and the mushroom and goat cheese combo was terrific. I thought they would be inside the pastry, but I adapted. The whole dish was terrific, and though I thought it was too salty for me, I also know that I'm sensitive to salt. All in all, we will definitely be back! Potty Points: no trip to the potty for me on this one!
