I wanted to highly highly recommend Smokey's stoves, and in particular their service technician Corey. Initially I had my fireplace restored by them last June and didn't really need it until recently when I started to use it when my furnace went out last week . I could smell gas very slightly. I asked the Avista to come out and check and they could not find the leak. I called Smokies and Corey found the leak. He is a highly efficient pleasant technician. Avoid !! Do not waste time calling smokey's stoves unless you want to first buy their expensive new stoves in order to get their service. Disinterested & rude Medford phone receptionist was on repeat saying "We only service equipment that we sell you. We are not here to help you with the stove you have." Help cancel this business attitude in the valley. read more

Just moved into our new home in Medford. It has a fireplace insert which we have never had before. A powerful little beast but you couldn't see the fire as the glass was all clouded and it blew out so much dust every day in use, you could write your name in it, and did I mention it was UGLY. So I called Smokeys and they said they could clean it, but couldn't do anything for the uglies. Cory, the Smokey's technician, arrived and he was a miracle worker, not only did he thoroughly clean and recondition the insert, but his esthetic style was wonderous. He removed the cheapo looking gold metal trim and painted all of the other blingy stuff black satin. What a transformation, it went from hideous to sleek and gorgeous. We truly appreciate his expertise as well as his willingness to go the extra mile or so and make us SO happy! read more

Visited Smokey's Stoves about a month ago because our experience at Orley's (just across Delta Waters) was sooooooo bad. The difference between the service in these two stores is like night and day. We have a fireplace insert in our great room that had a piddly flame. B-o-r-i-n-g. We wanted to replace it. Dan, one of the owners, came out and said replacing it wasn't necessary and that he thought he could fix it with a new regulator and new embers. $200 later he proved to be right. Yep. You read that right. $200. Now THAT is customer service. Check out the photo I just posted. We are so happy. We are turning our screened in porch into a garden room. We found the perfect stove to fit the space and our design. Again, soooo happy. We understand they have a bigger store in Grant's Pass but we didn't need to go there. We found exactly what we needed here. This is a sweet, family-owned values. We are so glad we found them. read more

I really appreciate Danny and everyone at Smokey's. A few years ago they installed an extremely heavy and large woodstove and inspected the exterior smoke-pipe to be sure it was in good working condition. The folks across the street tried to have me replace the entire stack, which is about 40' (it's quite tall!). Smokey's did not try and rip me off or up-sell me in any way. They just came and cleaned the pipe and cap. I felt like they wanted to be sure that I was happy, and I am. No more smoke in the house! Everything works great. These guys came to check my sons fireplace and clean it. They charged him over 100 dollars, were there way under an hour, and didn't clean anything. It was rude and a ripp off. Smokey's customer service was terrific. They were booked out for over a month, but they put me on a waiting list. They called within a couple of days with a cancelation. Casey arrived 2 days later. He assessed the problem, explained it all to me, vacumed it free of cobwebs and cat hair, and installed a new fan for the gas fireplace. We had a great conversation as he worked. Bought one of the best pellet fireplace inserts available from the Medford location. Installation did not go smooth, however Danny made things right. We purchased a wood burning fireplace insert. Our appointment was 12-1 pm. Dan showed up at 10:45 (after calling to be sure it was ok for him to arrive early). He started to prepare the fireplace to receive the insert. Sonny & Cal showed up at noon. Apparently our fireplace was not your typical fireplace. It did not give up its identity easily. These three men worked long and diligently until they won the battle. I was impressed with their tenacity, skill and patience. They were an awesome team who could laugh even with the challenges they faced. I will use Smokey's for any future maintenance, etc. read more

These guys do a great job! My gas fireplace would not always light....They arrived on time, found the problem within 15 minutes, serviced everything, cleaned/vacuumed and were out in 1 hour! Very reasonable cost....I'll go nowhere else for my fireplace needs... read more
