Luckily they had a drive-through. I wasn't about to go inside where it was packed full of people. I did not have the energy or mind set to sit and wait. What we ordered; *Cortado - 5/5. Had I known how amazing this drink was, I would've ordered the larger size. I drove away instantly regretting the small cup with my first sip. I literally wanted to turn the car around but everyone was crabby and wanted to go home. Since then, I have ordered a Cortado from other places. Unfortunately, they haven't been able to come close to the Cortado from Tierra Mia Coffee. *dulce de leche latte - 4/5. This was too sweet for me but it was good. My husband ordered it which is out of the ordinary for him since he always sticks to a mocha. I will definitely be going back to Tierra Mia whenever I am around. Minus two stars for cup size and texture/grittiness of rice and bean frappe :( I ordered one small rice and bean frappe and one medium Cubano con leche, but both seem to be in the cup size small. I was charged $12, didn't get asked if I want a receipt or not, didn't get one. The Cubano con leche has a really strong coffee flavor, 10/10!!! I would get this again for sure! A friend recommended the rice and bean frappe a while back, so I finally decided to try it. Unfortunately, I'm disappointed at how sweet it is. It's also super textured/gritty - I think it's from the crushed black beans or the coffee grounds didn't get strained out properly?? The actual flavor of the drink is fine, but it's hard to focus on that with all the sweetness and texture going on. Attempted to try to again.... Slow is an understatement! Unbelievable how long it took it is now 10.00 AM and I just got my 2 drinks. The girls here are too involved talking to each other that they make the customer wait.... It's loud inside and their chatter and slowness makes it uncomfortable. Idk what it is about this location, but they make their drinks better than a location in OC I went to. It was so good I went three days in a row. I ordered the horchata frapp, the Mexican chocolate frapp, and the cheese danish. The weird thing is the drive thru. You order from the drivers side at a speaker. However, the pick up window is located on the passenger side. This is annoying especially when you're alone. I did not enter so I can't speak to the ambiance. I went to Tierra Mia Coffee on the morning of my wedding day. My wife was getting her make-up done in Walnut so I needed to find a cafe nearby where I can use some drinks and snacks before our ceremony. After a quick search I saw Tierra Mia Coffee and did a quick browse of their menu. Mind you, I went on a Monday morning so the inside was packed and I knew the wait would be long so I opted for the drive thru. The drive thru is a bit different since it's on the passenger side rather than the driver side so be prepared to lean over and be careful once receiving your order. The customer service was standard like every cafe and I order the horchata latte for my wife, the strawberry mango Fresca for me and a butter croissant. My wife said the horchata latte had flavor and had a balanced amount of sweetness. For me the strawberry mango Fresca was delicious and was not too sweet either. I finished my drink within minutes. The butter croissant was average like any other bakery but was a good complimentary snack for my wife's horchata latte. Overall this place was great and I'd go back again if I ever find myself in that area. Next time I'll give it a shot to go inside and see what the atmosphere is like. read more

Matcha was okay definitely could have used more matcha as it mostly tasted like milk with strawberry puree and matcha taste was faint. Really cute interior perfect for studying and vast assortment of drinks to choose from on their menu. Parking in-front of the shop is very limited but they also have a drive thru option! One of my go to coffee spots to study while I was in nursing school! I love strawberry matcha and Tierra Mia makes one of the most affordable and delicious ones I have had. Their chocolate tres leches cupcake is so yummy that I crave it at least once a month. The staff here is always super kind. They get drinks out quick and never really bother you, even if youre there for a while doing homework. The location is always clean and bright. It is also open super late which I loved when I needed to get out of the house to study. They have enough tables and outlets to accommodate larger study groups. They also cater to solo studiers by having signs at larger tables that at least 2+ people need to be present for the table to be used. I really appreciate that because nothing is more frustrating than seeing one person sitting where four people can sit and staying there for hours. This location helps cut out the inconsideration of others. They also have free wifi here and nice bathrooms. My only issue with this particular location is PARKING! Parking here sucks so bad. Be prepared to park further away, there are very limited spots with time limits. Most of the spots around the store are labeled "employee only" so you might have more to walk than other locations. Overall highly recommend because of their lower prices, amazing quality, and better tasting coffee compared to their competition like Starbucks and Coffee Bean read more

I recently tried their new Blueberry Matcha along with a chocolate croissant. I ordered a medium Blueberry Matcha and asked for the croissant to be warmed up. The matcha itself wasn't very impressive--unfortunately, it tasted a bit like dirty water. The blueberry flavor seemed to come mostly from syrup, with a slightly gritty texture. While the blueberry and matcha can pair nicely, they don't blend well on their own. You really have to stir it vigorously; otherwise, you'll end up drinking straight syrup at the bottom. The chocolate croissant was decent, especially for the price ($3.75), and warming it up definitely helped. Super moist with the strawberry puree tucked inside the muffin. It's not a lot of puree but just enough there's strawberry in there and on top. I've been before and had their lattes but was never really impressed. I was hoping that their matcha would change my mind. Totally confirmed that I'm not a fan of this place. The establishment itself is clean and spacious, but the drinks I've had are just not it. The blueberry matcha was a huge disappointment. I asked the barista for a recommendation, and she was helpful, the drink just wasn't good. First off the matcha tastes like absolutely nothing. Just super diluted. The blueberry puree at the bottom is super sweet, and once you mix it all in the drink loses its flavor entirely. It tasted like the milk when you're done with your froot loops. I'm still not a fan of their drive-thru which only allows the passenger side access to the window. The inside is usually clean and offers plenty of seating. Tierra Mia is one of those places that just feels like LA. I've been coming to different locations for years, and the Horchata Frappe has always been my go-to.
