The downtown Eagle location is one of a small, regional, family owned chain that originated in Ketchum (ID) in the '90's. If we didn't already know it was family owned, one might have intuited it from the "Hello there, let's find a table for the two of you" greeting we received at lunch time. Although we've lived in Eagle for over ten years, this was our first visit to this casual dining place because we had turned up our "we don't do chains" taste buds at the idea of this kind of salad, burger, pizza chain with 8 pages'ish of laminated menu without giving it a chance. Shame on us. FRIENDLY PEOPLE WORK HERE: The reason we went in on the day we did was with downtown streets having been torn up for months for a county improvement project, we needed to park in the Smoky Mountain lot in order to get across the street to work with the talented people at Finer Frames (there's a shop with a perfect name for their quality) where we had a custom oil painting delivered for them to reframe. So, my husband popped in to tell the Smoky people we were advised that it was a kosher thing to use their lot while visiting Finer given the street project and we wanted to be sure they thought so too. The nice woman inside said "Sure" and we said we'd be back for lunch after our meeting across the way. It seemed the least we could do, buy lunch there, for use of the lot. It turns out we scored not only parking but a delicious lunch with friendly service in a sparkling clean "how are you doing today?" kind of place where pride of ownership shines and is reflected by employees too. PRICES & EATS: Prices are moderate on all things on a basic but broad menu. Examples: $7 bowl of soup, $10 chicken tenders w/fries, $15 House Burger, $18'ish assorted pastas and entree salads, $8 - $32 for pizzas in sizes from 8" to 16" w/ various toppings. We shared a a specialty pizza, The Smokey, and ordered it without pepperoni to make it vegetarian. We enjoyed the 12" pizza, about $22, and had extra to bring home. SEATING: Mostly booths, step up in bar I think, and a few tables and chairs. There is a big room at the back with all tables and chairs that I assumed might be to host large groups. SERVICE: Friendly and welcoming from entry "welcome" to exit "thanks for coming" and at every step of table service in between. The friendly and efficient server could answer our questions on the menu and followed up with us in perfect timing after she delivered the pizza to our table. PARKING: Private lot; a big advantage in Eagle, in particular since the county road work eliminated some on street parking. ACCESSIBILITY: Van accessible - aka ADA compliant - parking in lot. Makeshift curb ramp to get to door. All on one level inside, but for wheelchair users - I was one during this visit - there are only a couple of tables in the least desirable part of the restaurant. PATIO: In front has tables and chairs and umbrellas over them too as I remember. read more

Wow, we had a great experience at the Nampa Smoky Mountain Pizza. Our server Tony Diamond (will never forgot such a cool name) was very friendly, professional and courteous. He was always spot on when we needed refills or anything else. He recommended the chimichurri Steak and Shrimp Scampi. Only one word describes this meal. AMAZING. Stopped by for lunch with my $25 gift card. I was greeted and helped immediately, the person who helped me made sure to stay within my $25 budget and managed to even offer parmesan, ranch etc which I had forgotten to ask abt. That was a plus!! Aside from the friendly service and great atmosphere! The person who helped me was Ryan, he was very kind and went above and beyond for me. I asked for the WiFi password and he didn't know it but he went and got me the WiFi password as well as napkins! The food was alright, I got a personal cheese pizza with a drink. The pizza was tasty, but I loved the crispiness of the crust! They have a handful of delicious items on their menu. I'll have to come back again soon. We would have loved to sit in the bar area. They only have 3 booths but one was occupied by 4 young rowdy teenagers. I inquired with the bartender who said if they are not drinking alcohol they could sit there. They just can't sit on the bar stools at the counter. Hmmmm sorry but I disagree with this completely. Some people like to sit in the bar to be around adults not kids. Also this just leads to let's face it 1 out of the 4 will be a drinker when they get older. Why encourage it now. Wouldn't mind it as much if they where with their parents at least. However we got seated and are waitress Angela was absolutely awesome and friendly. She was on top of everything. We visited last week with the whole family and had a great dinner. Ethan was our server and he was helpful in picking out sizes and types of pizzas, and patient as we made a few changes. Still pretty good but we both agree the pizza sauce is too sweet so we probably won't get pizza there anymore. I ordered a Caesar salad that was only ok. Could've used garlic and a splash of Worcestershire and more lemon in the dressing though. The croutons were just teeny tiny white bread squares. No flavor. Our food was fantastic. My wife had an individual pizza that was excellent and I had the baked spaghetti and meatballs, incredible and a huge portion of. I took almost half of the dinner home. And our server Zoe was wonderful; friendly, helpful and attentive. The restaurant is a very relaxing place, casual and inviting. The menu has a wide range of options to satisfy any customer. Smoky Mountain is a great reliable place to eat. My family has been eating here every now and then since moving to Idaho 6 years ago. We have always loved the food and occasionally trying a different delicious item on the menu. Tonight my dad and I were served by Noah, who did an amazing job, with a super cheerful, personable manner. He even got us a one-in-a-million second cup of buffalo sauce. Small party of 10 got here at 7:30 ordered at 8 00 and 9;00 we got our food it was ALL cold had to ask for fresh pizza and fresh pasta as those were not ok to eat cold. 3 Philly cheesesteak sandwiches all cold with hard bread and 3 French dip all cold too . Nothing was even warm..Won't ever be coming back here again. The server was nice but she should have been on the kitchen to get the food out and not just sit under a warmer.it was a awful experience and had it been less people I would have just left and went somewhere else. read more

So... today we waited 40 minutes after ordering two personal pizzas and nothing else. In the interim we didn't even get our drinks refilled. And when the pizzas came one of them was *wrong* and not an acceptable substitute. We didn't have time to wait to get a replacement. We have loved this place forever, but this left a really bad taste (or no taste, depending how you see it) for us. I guess the good charge is they only charged us for one pizza? read more

We were visiting and had some drinks and Old State and wanted some dinner after a few hours of beverages so we went here. The pizza was ok. But my pasta was better than the pizza. Beer was cold. Drinks were good. Yes we had more drinks. Service was awesome. They seated a party of 14 in a matter of minutes. I am from AZ and even tho the pizza was a 7/10. My pasta. Was a 9/10. Creamy.
