S'more than you could ever want in a homemade treat! ;) Duane and his wife are SUCH friendly small business owners and welcome you so warmly when visiting their treat stand! The first time I experienced these togo s'mores was at a brewery they were serving at and I can honestly say I've never had anything quite as savory as these! I've now had them a few times and they keep the consistency and flavor on point each time! The crust is the best part and my mouth waters just thinking about it! They also toast your treat right in front of you so its nice and warm as soon as you're ready to eat! They are located in the center of Selden Market but I think they should have their own little shop because it's that good! Prior to visiting Virginia (I'm from California), I had looked up various dessert places to try with my boyfriend, and S'mores Amore caught my attention. We arrived in the afternoon before closing and were immediately greeted by Kristine. She was really helpful, sweet, and took the time to explain each of the flavors in the display case. All of the flavors sounded delicious, and we were able to grab the limited flavors of matcha (so matcha amore) and ube (ooh bae baybee) before they were gone. Delicious S'more creation! First of it's kind that I've ever seen. Kind of like a decadent brownie/blondie with marshmallow topping. The coolest part is watching them torch the top for that classic s'more look. I tried s'moreo and the classic. I preferred the S'moreo but both were delicious. You can sample before you buy! My favorite was the golden. The marshmallow was the perfect amount of fluffiness and the graham crust gave just the right crunch. I really wanted them all. I can't recommend just one flavor, because they're all that good! Being at the Selden Market, they will actually toast your s'mores, but you can also find these s'mores at the new Wegmans location in the Town Center VA Beach area. This is such a cool concept, instant smores, all day whenever you have a craving, no campfire needed. I've tried this place a few times at events and at their flagship location, the owners are super kind and chill, offering samples and a bit more info about the layers/process that they use to make these tasty creations. LOVE this place SO MUCH! The first time we headed up to Selden Market we passed by their super cute booth and were intrigued by their set up. They offered samples of every flavor they had that day, Ube being one of them. I'm SO glad we stopped and tried a sample because we since found our weekend treat! If you can catch them on a day when the Ube flavor is around DO NOT pass it up, you will not regret it! It is sooo delicious and they are addicting. They torch the s'mores right in front of you and brown that sweet handmade marshmallow right up. The balance of flavors in this s'more is amazing! The best texture too.
