I finally had a chance to visit the Seldon Market and ran into this yummy looking booth. I was interested in trying it since the sign says, "S'mores" and saw the guy with his little torch putting that signature fire roasted mark on the marshmallows. Very interesting! Well I went ahead and did a 6 pack to try as many as I can and here are my thoughts: *Espresso - espresso infused marshmallows. Not overwhelming, a nice subtle taste so don't be afraid. *Strawberry - infused with strawberry jam. Nice flavor * Golden - some kind of custard mixture. My favorite! *Original - just yummy! They're all on a graham cracker base. And reminds me of dessert bars. These treats aren't overly sweet. And if you don't like marshmallows, it was easy to take off the top. Full disclosure, my experience was an Ooh Bae Baybee! Coconut Ube Blondie purchased at Wegman's, so I fully missed the torching experience of the Selden Market location. Will be stopping by to try that out in the near future! I initially thought the blondie was a little expensive for the size, but was reeled in by how cute they (and the logo!) are and went for it. Totally worth it! Especially for a locally crafted dessert that is SO delectable. The textures going on for the Ooh Bae Baybee are really marvelous together- the pillow like marshmallow, the chewy blondie, and the coconut flakes sandwiched in the middle. I made every attempt to take small bites to savor it but it did not last long! Though the size seemed a little small, it was very satisfying. I wandered past S'mores Amore while in Selden Market time and time again, but while waiting for brunch at the Stockpot today, my friend convinced me to treat ourselves to an appetizer. Dessert first is always a good idea. While Duane, the owner, was running an errand, his wife and co-owner Kristine greeted us warmly and shared a little about their business. We each picked one of their classic flavors - I got the Ube Coconut Blondie while my friend got s'moreo. They torch the s'mores before your eyes- get ready for "ooohs" and "aaaahs". Was in downtown Norfolk for the LEGO shipbuilding exhibit, and popped in at Selden Market - and remembered that S'mores Amore Popup is open on Saturday afternoons! The owners were super helpful in explaining their process (they are toasted to order) I opted for their Ube blondie s'more (Ube is made with purple yam similar to taro) and my little opted for the S'moreo, which -you guessed it- is an Oreo s'more. Both were delicious and my son was mad that I didn't buy a 6 pack, which saves some money if you want to try a few varieties. If I wasn't watching my waistline I would definitely have opted for the sixer - next time for sure, though! Am looking forward to returning and trying different flavors! read more

Gourmet s'mores, you think "there's no way, how can you possible elevate this quick campfire snack into someone delectable and grand?...gourmet at that?!! Well, they did it and then some. What an innovative and amazing idea that they were able to execute perfectly! It literally blew my mind. This is a place I love going to and getting a pack of different flavors to ease my sweet tooth moments. Whenever I go there, the couple who owns it are so sweet and kind. They're always excited about what they do, and I feel like that's why I taste love in every bite. They're always willing to break down the flavors they offer, and optional toasted or not. They also have a pretty cool points system where you can end up getting free goodies. Their shop is cute and small, but powerful. Their s'mores have that campy toasted taste and give a slight camp vibe you remember from Girl Scouts, but they're also so decadent and beautifully made. They fit in everywhere honestly. The flavor profiles and textures when you bite through it is insane. You get that gooey texture when you bite in and when you get to the crunchy bottom...oh god I'm drooling just writing this. Their Ube and golden s'mores literally have me tied up lol, I can't let go. I love going here for holidays because they do so many themed ones (I've ordered for Valentine's Day, around Christmas, around thanksgiving, and every themed day they've had personally. I am obsessed!). It's a very decadent indulgent s'more, and truly has that comforting taste with a little flair too it. S'mores amore was one of those places I was just walking by and caught my attention. I decided to stop by and see what they offer and it was an amazing experience. I spoke to one of the owners and she was absolute delight. I got their hot cocoa and their strawberry s'mores, the hot cocoa was very rich but also delicious with the mini s'mores on top! I did not expect but they torch whatever s'mores you choose in front of you, it's definitely a very nice experience ! I highly recommend coming here during the day as it seems to be less busy in the mornings. GET FIRED UP!!! That's the mantra now made locally famous at this unique kiosk, serving s'mores in a wide variety of flavors since they first opened in Selden Market in July of last year. S'mores? Are you kidding me? If you had told me last year that I would now be writing a review of an eatery serving s'mores, I would have called you crazy. The campfire s'mores I tried to make as a kid were disasters of epic proportions. My clumsy attempts usually consisted of sticking a marshmallow at the end of a branch snapped off a tree and then heating it over a campfire until it turned red, and sometimes black, with embers flying about and barely missing my eyes. My efforts to insert the blazing hot marshmallows between two graham crackers usually resulted in them crumbling apart. When I did manage to get one inside my mouth, it would usually burn so badly that I would spit it out as it dribbled down my chin. Never again, I told myself. I felt scarred for life. Thanks to S'mores Amore, I have been healed. The s'mores served here are packed neatly and tightly in a 2" by 2" inch square base with their contents fully intact. Their graham cracker crusts hold together in place. Their gooey goodness stays inside my mouth without burning and running down my chin. Their s'mores are made with their own house-made marshmallows. Depending upon the flavor, they are further packed in either rich chocalaty brownies or buttery vanilla blondies. They are flame torched right before your very eyes atop a section of tree stump stamped with their logo. "Is that a real tree stump?" I asked one day. "Yes it is," answered Duane Dinio, who is the owner. "That's real wood." In addition to about a half dozen regular flavors, they also serve a Whoa! Flavor of the Month. You can also buy a box of six s'mores of different flavors from their Super Six Menu. If you are undecided as to which flavor to try, free samples of each one are available. I have enjoyed the following flavors so far, all of which were eaten at a nearby table inside Selden Market. OOH BAE BAYBEE UBE COCONUT S'MORES AMORE BLONDIE: This one was their Whoa! Flavor of the Month for January. Inspired by the purple yam flavor popular in the Phillipines, this one is their S'mores Amore golden blondie with ube and coconut mixed into a cream cheese layer, topped off with an ube flavored hand crafted marshmallow. I love anything made with ube, and this one was profoundly delicious, sending my taste buds dancing to a state of bliss. My Rating: 5 Stars. STRAWBERRY DREAM S'MORES AMORE BLONDIE: This one was their Whoa! Flavor of the Month of February. This one is packed with a layer of sweet strawberry cream cheese and strawberry krispies, topped with a strawberry milk flavored marshmallow. I loved its crunchy texture and strawberry flavor. My Rating: 4.5 Stars, only because I liked the Ube flavor just a wee bit more. SO MATCHA AMORE: This one is their current Whoa! Flavor of the Month of March. This one is packed with their golden blondie with a layer of matcha green tea infused and sweetened cream cheese, topped with a matcha flavored marshmallow. Like with ube, I love anything with matcha as well, and this one hit all the right notes as well. Its flavors came through beautifully. My Rating: 5 Stars. I just had to try one more, so I went back to try the following: PB OMG! S'MORES AMORE BROWNIE: This is one of their regular flavors and is the first I tried that is encased in a chocolate brownie instead of a golden blondie. This one included peanut butter chips inside the brownie and a small peanut butter cup atop their hand crafted vanilla marshmallow. As much as I loved their Ube and Matcha flavors, this one blew me away even more, with a full bodied peanut butter taste that left my taste buds singing all the way home. My Rating: 5-Plus Stars. The nightmares I suffered from the s'mores I tried to make as a kid are now over. S'mores Amore has elevated the the art of making s'mores to a level I would have never dreamed possible. They can count me in as a regular, and I am looking forward to my future visits. read more

So I am pretty late on my reviews buuuttt this place is worth reviewing. This place and couple have come a long way and it couldn't have happened to anyone more deserving. I have see their products at Wegmans and been to the Granby location. I have even seen them at different events. The fact that is also a local business and a mom and pop shop makes it even better. I love sweets ( my cholesterol wish I didn't so much). Everything they have created is delightful. From their cute designs for marketing to the melt in your mouth smores. Everything is made with love and a lot of butane I imagine. You have to try them all. With different holidays comes different flavors. They also have a rewards program go by there! I came here to try some other food, but this was on my list of places to try, so thought I'd hit them all up at once despite having dessert overload. I'm glad I came to s'mores amore. It was one of the better desserts I bought today. I tried the ube flavoured blondie with the homemade marshmallow on top. I also tried the almond joy one (very sweet), which I'm told is only here for a limited time. Loved the ube blondie, it wasn't overly sweet, had good flavour and the toast made it all the more better. I would definitely come back and order this! Clear your schedule and come here, PRONTO. The highlight of my visit! I happened to be in Selden Market to try another pop-up when I saw S'mores Amore was open. Immediately made a beeline for it. First of all Kristine is the cutest. She talked my friend and I through all the flavors they had and gave us a taste of ALL the samples. Everything was so darn tasty. The flavors are spot on and Duane (owner) is not playing with all the cool flavor combinations. I honestly cannot even pick a favorite because everything I tasted - I loved. My friend ended up getting the six pack because it's impossible not to. And trust me, if I am not trying to watch my sweets intake, I would have followed suit. The taro/ube s'more is absolutely heavenly. Perfect balance of each ingredient. 100/10 would recommend to everyone. The Golden is also oh so delicious. They use this base for their matcha flavor (I believe) and that added pop of matcha is perfect with it. No sign of bitterness that is sometimes associated with it and that's all thanks for the perfect steeping time they got on lock. This dessert spot is honestly the real deal and I cannot wait for my next visit (six pack I'm coming for you)! read more

Grabbed the sample pack and brought them back to Richmond with me. Finally, had dinner and was dying to try one of these! Decided on the Golden S'mores Amore Blondie first. In the picture at Wegmans, I saw they blow torch the marshmallow top, and oddly enough, I was fresh out of blow torches lol Decided to throw it in the oven and broil it. Worked out perfectly. S'mores Amore has a sample for all their smores, which is a big plus because i'm so indecisive when it comes to picking out treats. I ended up getting the pb cup and ube smores! Both were amazing. I am in big trouble..... I recently discovered S'mores Amore and it just so happens my new job is right down the street. I walked over to the Selden Market in desperate need to satisfy my sweet tooth craving. I took a gander at the menu and remembered that my cousin recommended The Golden. I looked at the other options on the menu and everything sounded so yummy. It wasn't easy picking just one. Myself and two other customers were trying to decide on what we wanted. Kristine offered us samples of her personal favorite which was the Golden...omg Golden heaven is what they should call it lol. And whoever thought of combining a brownie with a s'more deserves an award! I ended up choosing the Golden which is a blondie brownie with cream cheese & vanilla marshmallow. Delish!!! Quite quite delicious! My husband and kids have been fans for quite some time now and I'm just now getting on the bandwagon. They love the s'mores but I came here for the ICE CREAM! What a genius idea! And I'm not just saying that because I love ice cream. This ice cream is really really good. I had the Golden and Ube flavors. Both are to die for! The Golden is vanilla ice cream with chunks of the Golden s'mores brownie throughout. The ube has ube ice cream with their "ooh bae baybee" s'mores brownie throughout. The Golden tastes like yellow cake with vanilla ice cream. Just super yummy! And the ube has all that divine purple yam flavor with hints of coconut and toasted marshmallows with the dope graham cracker crust. Just yum! If you have a sweet tooth come to Smores Amore located in Selden Market in downtown Norfolk. You will be BLOWN away by the flavors and the uniqueness that this business brings to Hampton Roads. I don't think there is anything quite like it. They do their own take on a smores and combine it with a classic blondie to create something very tasty. I got the 6 pack for $18 and with taxes it was about $20 or so which is fairly steep in my opinion... but since this is the only place that creates these kind of sweets and they're probably producing at a lower qty vs a chain, they have to mark it up. I got the following flavors: Smoreos, PB OMG, Espresso, Golden - AKA classic smore. I think my favorite flavor is the PB one. It was just so decadent but wasn't overly sweet. It was baked to perfection and torched to a nice dark crisp (per my request). The owner is nice and seems to be very passionate about what he does. I think every month there is a special flavor of the month so I am on the lookout for those unique flavors. SN: I ate one or two a couple of days after I made the initial purchase and I heated them up in the microwave and they were still DELICIOUS. read more

I was visiting the area and was out walking around. I happened upon this place and I'm so glad! I'd had lunch earlier and wasn't hungry. I got one to go. I ate it a few hours later. My regret.....I only got one. I leave today and have no plans to be back. I had a very nice chat with the proprietor. Her husband is the genius behind the concoctions.
