I just came after the cinnamon rolls rush so I'll have to catch them next time. But I did walk out with 3 chocolate chip cookies and 2 oatmeal cookies. Best I've ever had! It is a small bakery with a small selection. What they do have is done very well though so I would say it's quality over quantity. I tried the cinnamon rolls and yeast rolls and both were delightful! They're best known for their dinner rolls and cinnamon buns made from same dough recipe. I've said it before and I'll say it again: legit bakeries are my happy place. Love the yeast infused aroma along with browsing glass cases full of artisan goodies. Covid precautions limit full shop entry which thwarts browsing but chatting with owner, Mrs Brenda, is super for your soul, though she's understandably reserved from a ton of convo in the pandemic climate. She's born/raised in GB and is record holder for hs girl's b-ball career points scored. Selection was semi-depleted (a good thing for business) but I managed to score 2 cinnamon buns ($5), 6 "small" cookies ($3), and 2 brownies ($5). Buns were very good, though I probably prefer Bee & the Biscuit's better. Icing on the side was a nice touch. My kids and I enjoyed the soft, fresh baked chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin varieties. Crispy cookie people may complain (we can't be friends, j/k). Fyi, they're probably 3-4" in diameter, definitely bigger than chips 'ahoy. Brownies were large, big enough to cut into 6 total good sized pieces for my entire clan to sample and enjoy. Soft, moist and cake like. Though pretty good, I wouldn't make a special trip just for these. Ghiradelli box from Costco is on par quality-wise and significantly cheaper. OMG... Carb heaven! Only going for the cinnamon roll, I whined up getting 1 dozen of the rolls, 7 up cake, cookies, and that cinnamon roll!! The yeast roll is so soft and fresh with a little sweetness. And if you don't watch it you will find yourself eating the whole bag before you get home. 7-up pound cake - I could of sworn my auntie said she invented that recipe but at 5 years old you believe in anything! But this cake was soooo good! Just like what I remembered my aunts homemade cake. Cinnamon roll - is a yeasty kind, for me similar to how the rolls are but with cinnamon on it. I've been here many years ago when it was still brand new. Our neighbors were telling me how good their dinner rolls and cinnamon buns are, so on a Saturday afternoon I stopped by to check out what they had. The smell alone that hits your nose would knock you off your feet! As I walked around the corner to the bakery case I saw the cinnamon buns! They looked amazing! I bought 3 of them for $7. They had plenty of other goodies such as 7-up cake, brownies, coconut custard and cookies. The cinnamon rolls were amazing! They were perfectly made. It didn't have any icing on top, which in hindsight is a good idea. It really didn't need it. Side note: Evidently they make cupcakes as well but only as a preorder. I was Yelping a bakery for cupcakes for my son's birthday and it came up as the address to this bakery. I noticed a sign on the window when I came in today. I'd love to try their cupcakes as well. Loving the vibe in here. Well I didn't try the all the rave about yeast rolls. I thought I ordered a pack... Well I tried the coconut custard pie and the assortment of cookies. The coconut custard pie was not good at all. I could taste what I think was canned milk... no bueno. And the cost was crazy high! Now the cookies, all three of them were delicious. I loved the vibe and energy in the room. Everyone seemed excited about the grand opening. I haven't returned, but I do plan on giving them another try. On this day the sweet potato pies sold out and there was at least a 45 minute wait for more. They gladly accept cash or credit cards. I am unsure if any other payment methods are accepted. The shop is located in a Farmer's Market, therefore parking is limited. But I'd recommend you give this place a try. I have probably driven by this place a thousand times and finally made my way to stopping in yesterday! This small shop is evidently full of love when you walk in. Both the shop and the baked goods give off those feel-good homemade vibes. When I was there, they had two cookie flavors, two mini pie flavors, along with cupcakes (made elsewhere, but with many flavor options), cake, cinnamon buns, and fresh rolls. My grandpa and I went all out and bought a bunch of things to try, and to share. Those fresh rolls were wonderful, and I also loved that the lady helping us let us choose between lighter or darker. She was extra helpful and cheery the whole time she helped us. I also tried their 7-Up cake (made with the soda) and it was gone before I could have a full slice! They sell the cupcakes in twos, and the cake in large chunks. I didn't get a chance to try the pies or cupcakes we bought, but everything seemed like a hit. To me, this is the kind of place you want to make the pie you bring to a gathering (if you aren't the type to make it yourself of course) and ideal for satisfying a sweet tooth with something worth the extra calories. Second of all, everything that I tried from Whole-ly Rollers was absolutely amazing, and I'm going to need to take my own trip down to Church Street and see how everything looks like. The cookies are just amazing. We all tried to share pieces of two whole cookies... We should have gotten more honestly. Definitely amazing. The apple pie that I tried was ridiculously amazing, and totally satisfied my cravings for apple pie without making me completely full! Early Saturday morning Mr Wonderful dragged me out to pick up his car that was repairs and sitting at the dealer. Driving on 64S near Indian river exit I spied with my lil eye, a white work van with the company logo..ROLLS!! I quickly Google them and find they are located just too convenient for me. I drop him off, run to MP ISLAND grocery for my dried sorrell, and hightail it to WHOLLY ROLLERS. I took notice that they close at 3p, for heaven sake I only had 5 hrs to get there!!! Immediately I'm greeted with a cheery hello, and omg the scents of fresh baked rolls, pound cakes, cookies and cinnamon rolls. Bread pudding was still in the oven baking and I will be back to purchase one very very soon. The rolls accompanied us to a friends house for dinner and they were a big hit. With the homemade meal. The yeast rolls were gently warmed in the oven for 10 minutes ,just enough time to warm them and and allow real butter to melt thru. They are brushed with sweet cream butter so you really dont even need anything additional. The cinnamon rolls we enjoyed with coffee they were fresh and just the right cinnamon, icing on the side was excellent also so that I can control the amount of sugar I intake. For the remainder of the roll I chose not to use it and still totally enjoyed my cinnamon roll breakfast. My next trip will include a bread pudding. This place is a must go, read more

The products that are in the case are delicious. I wouldn't recommend pre-ordering for your special occasion. I visited them for the FIRST time on 8/22. I placed a order that was to be picked up on 8/24. I rode almost 30 miles to be told that they forgot part of my order which was an Apple pie. I forgave that because I realize that accidents do happen. I placed another order for for two dozen pepperoni rolls and 6 cinnamon raisin bunson 8/28 that was to be picked up on 8/30. I called to check on my order at 12 noon. I was told that again part of my order was not ready because it was not entered on their log properly by their staff. I went to pick up the two dozens of pepperoni rolls. When I got there was only one dozen prepared. The guy stated that he could have it ready in 5 minutes. Two mistakes back to back. Nothing was offered for my inconvenience. The only response I was given was "It seems that something always happens". I feel that is unacceptable for an OWNER because she NEVER APOLOGIZED. My husband took me to theWHOLE-LY ROLLER's Bakery on yesterday....OMG... this is the BEST bakery in 757!! I consider myself a pound cake connoisseur..... this is the best pound cake, that I've ever had in my life!!.. and I have had a lot of pound cake in my life (growing up in south) This pound cake was out of this world ....The Pound cake should have been called Holy Moly pound cake!!! So one of my coworkers comes in talking about this Whole-ly Rollers place way out on Battlefield, and how good it was. I wasn't too pressed about driving out that far from the Beach, but (being an Uber and Lyft driver) I said if I was in the area, I'll stop by. Saturday was that day. Now, I didn't even get to the door when this lady yelled out: "You going in to get that pie"? I said "Yes Ma'am". She said, "I'm gonna have to pray over mine". That hit a red flag at first. I asked "Why is that?" She said "so I don't get fat after I kill this ENTIRE pie the second I get home!" Okay then...flags down and ready to do this! I walked in to the pleasant aroma of freshly baked bread. It smelled so good my stomach started growling. I ordered some bread, 3 little sweet potato pies and the 3 pack cinnamon rolls for the family and headed home. Let me say I was instantly mad that I did not order that full sweet potato pie! You don't understand how good that pie was! I know what that lady was talking about. And the sweet rolls and cinnamon buns...we killed everything! Customer service is lacking. You call and no one answers the phone. You go there and there is no cake or pies ready and they just opened up about an hour ago or they tell you to come back later. Why drive back and forth to an establishment for something you can get elsewhere. Yes their cakes and pies are very good but this driving back and forth is unexceptable. As a bakery your bakery items on your menu should be available when your door opens in the morning. If you need more help I highly suggest that you hire some bakers or you are going to lose customers. I am one customer whom you have losted. If you're a bakery connoisseur like myself you need to go here. These guys have the lightest, most moist yeast dough I've ever had. They're known for their rolls but they also use it for their cinnamon rolls, which are literally the best I've ever had. The pound cake is also ridiculously good. Delicious, sweet smells wafting through the air.... my oh my, is there a bakery nearby? Yes, yes, yes! I had no idea Whole-ly Rollers was in my neck of the woods! How exciting! I left home to go thrifting with my daughter. We decided to go to CHKD thrift store first. After getting some great finds, we pulled out of the parking lot and sat at the corner near the bridge waiting for traffic to slow down. As we sat there, we both smelled something sweet... was it bread??? I decided to back up and pull into the parking lot. We both glanced and immediately saw the bakery sign. As we approached the store, I noticed exactly where we were. I remember this wonderful place from The Farmers Market in Norfolk. I was so happy to see that this business is so close to home. When we entered the building, we were greeted by Pastor.... oh my I can't remember her name. My apologies. I never forget a face, but I am horrible with remembering names. Well, anyway, we were greeted with a smile and the person who greeted us introduced herself to us as Pastor ____. My daughter and I introduced ourselves and she complimented my daughter on her name which meant so much because my daughter had made some complaints about how boring her name is. I expressed this and the woman provided my daughter with the most positive words of encouragement. I truly appreciated her for doing that. Moving along.... after drooling over the yummy goodness available in the shop, and listening to Pastor ___ provide details about the products and offer suggestions, we decided to go with the cinnamon buns for my kids, brownies for myself and my friend, and a dozen yeast rolls for the house. I cannot begin to tell you how amazingly delicious everything tasted. The cinnamon buns... I didn't buy this for myself but I had a taste of my daughter's... these buns were so soft and chewy. The icing was perfectly sweet and light. It melted in my mouth! The brownies.... my goodness, the brownies! I should have stopped by the grocers and picked up some ice cream to go along with it. It was moist, chewy, and chocolaty. I absolutely loved it. I had a couple of the yeast rolls along with my vegetarian lasagna dinner. The yeast rolls are soft, sweet, light, and fluffy. I only ate two, but I could have easily eaten more. I wanted everyone in the house to be able to have a couple of those rolls and sure enough when they did, they asked for more. I found this spot on Yelp after searching for a bakery to bring my clients some delicious treats for a morning meeting. Attention Chesapeake this place is a treasure not to be missed. From the moment you step In the door the smell will sweep you off your feet. Nothing fancy but old fashion delicious treats baked with love. The recipes were passed on by the owners grandmother. Her beautiful picture adorned the counter as you place your order. Let your mind go back in time.
