My boyfriend, friends, and I came because we wanted to experience their igloos. The igloos are heated and provide a beautiful ambiance by the water. The service was great and very prompt. Also we all enjoyed our food and the specials. This is definitely a must try on Long Island!

Came here for dinner Friday with family. We didn't have a reservation but we're seated pretty quickly outside which was nice. We ordered calamari, wings & baked clams to start. The wings were good. The calamari was ok and the clams were a little watery. For dinner I had a lobster roll, It was really good and not too much mayo. The service was extremely slow, I'm talking 20 minutes to get a soda slow. Don't know if I'd come back, it's pricey but I guess because it's on the water.

My friends and I were looking to have dinner in an igloo somewhere nearby, so we were excited when we found this spot with igloos available! It was such a cold night, but the igloo had a heater so we were able to stay warm. We went right before Christmas, so they also had fun holiday themed drinks. I don't remember the names of what we got, but I had some type of cranberry martini with pomegranates at the bottom, which was so refreshing. We ordered food off the fixed menu because it all looked so good. I obviously had to get the French onion soup because of the weather, but I also ordered the steak and then the brownie with ice cream for dessert. Everything was delicious, and the service was amazing! Our waitress and the owner kept coming in to check up on us and make sure the temperate was right. I'm honestly shocked their yelp reviews are so low because I thought this restaurant was great, and we all had a nice time here. Would definitely recommend getting an igloo during the winter if available!

Intimate relaxed vibe with a partial water view! FOOD: 2 out of 5 stars We've gone here during the winter time and now summer. Stick with the seafood chowder and seafood pasta. Other than that, everything I've had has been just okay but not worth the price point at all. They'll a new chef to justify their price point. This time we ordered the lobster roll and short ribs featured as a special. To e quality/taste/price is just not worth it. Stick with the drinks and that's it. LOCATION: 4 stars Very easy to find, it's in the suburbs, I can see this being a "locals" choice. Parking lot is a bit small so you'll have to park in front of someone's house. SERVICE: 5 stars Service was quick, polite, no complaints at all. AMBIANCE: 5 stars This was someone's house many years ago and is now a restaurant. The decor although commercial still has that homey charm. If seating inside, your view is a cozy fireplace but outside is along the water. It's very quiet and intimate vibe. The music was just the right volume so you can actually have a conversation. WAITLIST: 5 stars No wait at all, even at the peak dinner time it was only 30 minutes of a wait.

This restaurant was wonderful from the start , I made reservations about 5 days ahead because we were a party of 8 and they were super accommodating. When we arrived they had 2 tables Available inside and out but due to the rain that would start we sat inside . We started with 2 plates of calamari and 2 plates of the wings they were amazing. And for dinner we had multiple items , steaks , fish and chips , lobster , braised brisket it was all delicious. The place was very nice , wood paneling, very water edge location, beautiful view of the water . We were very happy . The price was very good over all for the amount of people and they have a big parking lot so parking isn't an issue at all . Would return and recommend 10 out 10 location.

We came here recently for the LI Restaurant Week. We heard of this restaurant from my aunt who had dined here once before for a previous LI Restaurant Week. We were a little worried after reading previous Yelp reviews, but overall we had a pretty decent experience. The restaurant itself is small, so on a busy night I can see there being a wait if you don't make a reservation. There is a small lot attached to the restaurant, but if there isn't any parking left, there is plenty of street parking around. It started a bit rough. We had a 7pm reservation and we got there on time. When we first walked in it was a bit surprising not to see a host there to greet us. We saw a lot of the servers in the main dining hall. It took some time before one of the busboys asked if we were waiting for a table. He got a server who told us that it will be a little wait for our table. About thirty minutes later we finally got our table. It was a Friday night, so we weren't sure if they were just short of staff for some odd reason on a busy night. All of us ordered the pre-fixe menu which had a good amount of options. My aunt recommended the seafood chowder. We got that and it didn't disappoint. It was very chunky and generous amount of clams, crab, shrimp, carrots, potatoes, celery and bacon. The bacon gave a nice salty and richness to the chowder. It's also served with a pack of oyster crackers, but it wasn't needed. For the entree I got the cold lobster roll served with a side of fries and a pickle spear. There was a good amount of lobster to bun ratio. It was served classically on a butter roll and seasoned with old bay seasoning and mayo. It was a very good lobster roll, but hard to compare to the ones in Maine that I love. The fries were crisped to a perfect crispy texture. For dessert I got the lemon sorbet which is a good palate cleanser and light note to finished the meal. Service was better once we were seated from our dinner. There were two guys that regularly checked in on us throughout the service. They were nice to apologize for the long wait and thank us for our cooperation. We would consider returning again, but hopefully the front of service will be better. One note to consider for payment. They do have a different price if you choose to pay by cash or card. The cash option is slightly cheaper.

This was my first time at Smuggler Jack's and it won't be my last. Although it's a bit on the pricey side ($16 to add 4 shrimp to a salad) the food was delicious. Even better than the food was the view and ambience....felt like I was dockside by the beach somewhere rather than on the canal in Massapequa.

Smuggler Jack's makes it easy and encouraging to dine in a Covid-19 world. Waitress Jess was polite, and easy going and accommodating! The food tastes really good. Seating/reservations on a Thursday, 1pm for an outdoor igloo was easy-peasy. Understand you are paying for the ambiance as well as the delicious meal. I believe between Mon-Thurs you can choose igloo seating, and then Friday-Sun, you have to pay extra after 3pm. Please confirm that. The Lobster and Mac was very filling, and sticks to your ribs. I did not want to share my salmon. I had a great experience, the blueberry beers and Moscow mules helped along the way Good: -The Salmon and sauce it came with was great -The Lobster Mac n' Cheese was DELICIOUS -The calamari was GREAT -Loved the option of sitting in the igloo or outdoor seating -Plenty of parking Bad: -I wish there was more salmon for the meal price

How grateful I was to found this restaurant at the last minute of having my daughters baby shower I have to say I couldn't ask for a better place like this restaurant Branden and the staff was amazing. I felt like if there was part of my family the bakery in Seaford don't have the name right now. I couldn't ask for better Bakery. This was my cake, carrot cake amazing. My guess was so happy. The food was delicious, clean plate of all my guess I have to say thank you so much smuggler Jack will definitely will have more parties

We were in a section that included a live singer and made for great ambiance. By 7:30, every table was filled. For restaurant week, I chose the 4 blue point oysters, the 6oz filet mignon and the cheesecake. The oysters were great and subtly briny and the filet was cooked perfectly (though the potato and vegetable side were pretty underwhelming). The cheesecake was considered Italian and was very lumpy, grainy and I did not like that style. We also ordered the brussel sprouts, grilled octopus and creamed spinach. The brussel sprouts were the highlight of the meal - highly recommend!! The grilled octopus was cooked perfectly The creamed spinach was a tad salty but yummy They also half bottles of wine which was a happy medium for my party My sister got the mussels, lamb shank and tiramisu as her restaurant week choices. They printed special menus and allowed me to bring in some decorations as well which was appreciated. I paid the $25 cake cutting fee and they made it so special by putting in not only the candles and toppers I provided but also a sparkler which was very nice. For food our menu was fried mozzarella, buffalo chicken egg rolls, and donut bites to start plus the amazing bread they brought to the table. For entrees the 4 options were the chopped chicken and feta salad, penne Ala vodka, French toast, and avocado toast. Everyone enjoyed everything, especially the salad! The bloody Mary, mimosa, and sangria were also very good. Our server was a sweet young girl who worked very hard for us. I can't say enough good things shout out experience this time around!

We had previously enjoyed the band in the same setting over a year ago, and I was only this years old when I realized the harmonica player is from another favorite band, Blue Roots! Made a reservation and off we went. When we arrived, I noticed seating to the right of the bar that would give us pretty much a front row seat for the music. Lisa was hesitant because it was not truly in the dining room, but acquiesced. So glad we did because we ended up staying for 3 hours, enjoying both sets. We also got to hang with family members and friends of the band, which made for an extremely intimate and enjoyable evening. We both started with sazeracs, which had too much ice to make it the classic that it is. We shared the barbecue plate, some of the meats a hit, some a miss. Pulled pork and brisket a little too fatty even for me , and of the 4 ribs, 2 were meaty and 2 kind of forlorn! Next time will choose more carefully, as previously enjoyed a grits dish and Lisa a salad with grilled shrimp. After dinner, a generous pour of Wild Turkey 101, sipped while swept up in the sounds! Overall a fun evening, music and hospitality being the 5th star, food and drink a 3, so overall a 4 star evening. Definitely will return for this band!
