We DoorDashed the order and the food came nicely prepared and packaged with order labels and our names written on top of the lids. Pleasantly surprised to discover that Shaloka is a food court stand in Eastview Mall. The quality of their bowls exceeded my expectations of typical food court food. What sets Shaloka apart from Tai Chi is their fruit bowls (Açai and Pitaya/Dragonfruit) and also their Signature Bowls. The fruit bowls are super refreshing and are akin to a smoothie in a spoon and bowl format. Their Signature Bowls also take the guesswork out of it. They are recipes that have already been tested. They are still customizable and you can even build your own like at Tai Chi if you wanted to. I got their Signature Hawaiian Classic bowl and it was delicious. Ahi tuna, salmon, avocado...enough said. It was yummy and I actually really loved their brown rice. It was short grain and had some good texture. Overall, it's the best poke i've had in Rochester, which isn't saying too much because there aren't too many other options. But still, the bowls are well-composed and feel more like a whole dish than a bunch of toppings thrown on top of rice.

You can select your choice of milk: almond milk, chocolate almond milk, soy milk, or coconut milk. They also offer 2 house-made milk options for an upcharge: cashew milk and almond milk. The combination of mint, cacao nibs, banana, and dates creates a flavor that reminds me of a healthy version of a mint chocolate chip treat, while the cashews added a creamy, satisfying texture. I especially appreciate that the supergreens blend in seamlessly without overpowering the taste. It's refreshing, naturally sweet, and filling without feeling heavy. If you're looking for a smoothie that's both nourishing and indulgent, the Grasshopper is a standout choice. The staff were friendly and attentive, making the whole experience feel personal rather than transactional. The space itself has a calm, Zen-like energy that matches the wellness focus of the menu. It's just as nice a spot to sit and relax as it is to grab something on the go. I'd probably visit daily if I lived closer!

They offer a variety of classes and even have a reasonably priced two-week pass for newcomers to try different options. I don't come as often as I used to because I live in the city, and it's not just a quick drive. I was more active with Breathe when they had locations in College Town and at Hutchinson House on East Avenue. That said, it's worth the trip--I take a restorative yoga class with a sound bath here, and so far, it's the only place in the area that offers this as a regular class. The space is lovely, with a great selection of gifts, books, clothing, and more. Parking can be a bit frustrating, as the lot behind the building sometimes fills up, and street parking may be necessary.

Everything was…read moregreat from top to bottom - from the helpful staff to the stunning space to the delicious food. The event space is not visible from the diner or dinner spaces. You can either walk through the Bar & Grill OR drive around to the back of the plaza and enter through the space directly. This is a hidden gem and an awesome space to host all kinds of events from corporate parties to showers to smaller weddings. We had 70 people fitting quite comfortably, though I am not sure what their max capacity is. We opted for buffet style and enjoyed ciabatta chicken sandwiches (my fave thing?), broccoli & vodka sauce pasta, potatoes, bacon, caesar salad, an omelette station, and MORE. We did a mimosa consumption bar as well, and I believe there is a per person bar option available. The space itself is bursting with natural light and there is a ton of parking in both the front and back of the plaza. One sticking point would be that, unless you make it super clear on your invitations where to park and where to enter, guests will be coming in from allllll over the place - back of diner, front of diner, actual event space, etc. We had to place a bunch of people/greeters around to ensure people knew how to get to the space. Not a huge deal but be prepared should you plan to take advantage of the event space.

Definitely a highlight of this establishment. The modern, warm, and cozy feel of the restaurant, complemented by vintage blades, saws, and wooden accents. We had a view of the fireplace directly in front of our table. A few couches are placed in front of the fireplace as well. The bar, the dining area, the outside patio; I wanted to experience it all! Food: So I'm more of a breakfast/brunch type of guy. I always struggle with making a lunch selection. Since I was in the mood for pasta, I decided to go with the Linguini del Mar. DELICIOUS & filling! I did have to add a dash of salt and pepper but this didn't knock down my ranking of the dish. Food presentation was top-notch, especially for a quick lunch dish. Bathroom: Clean! It also matched the interior of the restaurant which is always a plus. But what really stood out to me was the Listerine pump! Yes, Blades has a gallon listerine dispenser with disposable, cone-shaped cups. Round of applause for that added amenity Cons: We asked for a basket of bread for the table to go with our pasta dishes. In about 2 minutes, we were brought a plate of four pieces of cheesy garlic bread. It was cold. Like came out of the fridge 10 min ago cold. Maybe this is how it's normally served here? Not sure. My next return will be for brunch. Blades for Brunch! ;)
