Cool vibe with good music, counter height tables made from repurposed wood from a Kentucky tobacco warehouse, and LED lights suspended from old wood beams. The menu is mostly salads, of course, (11 on the board with a variety of create-your-own options) but they offer wraps, soup and an oversized baked potato on the menu as well. The best thing about Snappy Salads is the fact that it's all about salads and my kids STILL love this place! This location is in a strip full of eating options, including Freebirds, The Great Outdoors, Whichwich, Tokyo Joe's and Torchy's Tacos among others so they have plenty of competition. As great as this place is, though, it was still a little surprising to find a nearly empty restaurant compared to the packed lot next door at Torchy's at noon on a Saturday. It wasn't too long, though, before the crowd showed up. Second visit, ordered the same thing - the Santa Fe Chicken Wrap with a side of tortilla chips and salsa. The wrap doesn't look very big compared to the salad bowls but it was all I needed. The wrap was pre-prepared so there was virtually no wait. This trip I seemed to get the bottom of the chip bag with mostly chip pieces and a few whole chips but I didn't bother to bring it up. I did go back for more salsa for the wrap, however, and was graciously given another bowl. Service was very customer-oriented. Great attitudes and what seemed like a desire to ensure a pleasant experience. My only knock on this place and only reason for my 3 stars instead of 4 is the pricing. This isn't a cheap place to eat. One wrap, one create-your-own half with chicken and a free drink for checking in on Yelp = $19. Another CYO half with crispy chicken to go and no drink was $11. I don't usually expect to spend that on what's effectively higher quality fast food. For that $$ there are other places I would choose to eat. I'll still be back--I know my high schoolers will for sure--but I'll probably go with a large salad and box half of it for later. read more

Very disappointing. This is my second time there - but it's been a few years, so I thought I would give it another whirl. Disappointed again. Lettuce was very wilted. I ordered a takeout salad for late lunch because I needed to get home and do some work. I ordered online - the process for THAT was fine anyway. Salad was ready when I got there. I ordered the BBQ Chicken Ranch salad - one of my favorites. I got home and started eating. After a few bites I started looking for the chicken. I dug through the salad more and found there was NO chicken on the salad. So now I am at home with a chickenless salad and work to do. After some debate I decided I WAS annoyed enough and I wanted the salad right enough to get in my car and drive back. But I get it - accidents and oversight due happen. Stores will usually go out of their way to make it right because without customer satisfaction they cannot stay in business. I was greeted and the woman at the cash register offered to remake the salad. That was fine. Where I really got unhappy was when she told the woman making salads there had been no chicken on the salad and to please remake it. The comment was "well, she ate half of it" which is (a) untrue and (b) irrelevant and only serves to make me think she assumed that perhaps I ate the chicken and came back to complain about it. The salad was remade and this time it did have the chicken - unfortunately the container was less than half full of the other items on the salad (I guess to pay me back for having eaten some of the original one before I got back in my car and drove all the way back to the store to get what I actually ordered). It is too bad - I really like some of the items offered at Snappy Salads but I do consider the prices a premium so I really do expect to get what I order. Wow! Loved the build your own salad options. I wish I had a picture but it was so delicious I didn't even think about it. I got the build your own salad with spinach and arugula. For toppings I got edamame, chickpeas, black beans, red onion, roasted red peppers, and gorgonzola. I used their sesame dressing. Everything was fresh and delicious and this will definitely be a go to place of mine. I also had the cream of jalapeño soup and it was everything I had hoped for and more. My bf and I came here for the first time one evening. We ordered a full snappy salad bowl of the seared rare Yellowfin Tuna and large bowl of broccoli potato soup. The salad and soup was just okay, not as I expected. The tuna pieces were really tiny, not fresh and rare enough. What Chipotle did for burritos, Snappy Salads did for salad. Fresh ingredients! Fresh cut! They are all behind the glass so the staff makes your salad to your specifications. I counted at least 8 people working there in the front, who knows how many in the back. The line goes fast, even when it is long. I had the Half-Sized Grilled Avocado Salad which came out to $11 with tax. $11 is a little pricey for someone who usually doesn't want to spend money eating out on a salad (like myself, usually). I didn't deduct a star for the price because I'm always saying when places try to keep prices down by lowering their food quality that I would prefer to keep the food quality and pay a little extra (Which Wich's bread is a good example of that, because I loved it years ago, then stopped eating there after they changed it [real bummer]). Snappy Salads' had excellent food quality; I couldn't ask for more! I've never had a grilled avocado before and honestly it wasn't to my taste. It tasted more like the grill smoke and than avocado (that smokey taste would be great for their meats). I like regular avocado better than grilled. Usually the salads are good but a couple of weeks ago I ordered my usual bbq ranch chicken salad. When I got home I took a bite and it tasted weird. I figured they used the wrong dressing. The guy that prepared the salad looked like he was there alone as he was also cooking the chicken in the back. Anyhow, I called and asked if they used the wrong dressing- a girl answered, put me on hold then came back on and told me they used the correct one. I told her it tasted off and all she said was "okay". I hung up and kept trying to eat it but I couldn't eat more than a few bites. A few hours later I was throwing up. this review is on the snappy salads on greenville in dallas. my whole order was incorrect. i should have checked prior to leaving the store but they pack in such away that it is very difficult to check. receipt attached to the bag clearly stated what i had ordered, my sister is vegan and her salad was to have avocado for the protein and it had chicken into the garbage that went, my salad was supposed to be meditterean and to this day i don't know what i received but it wasn't meditterean and it was disgusting, wilted lettuce, dirty lettuce, it went straight to the garbage as well!! called the restaurant and spoke to the rudest girl ever, had to repeat my order information 4 times, spell it out and then she says i can't find an order for you, mind you i was there 20 minutes prior picking it up!! after repeating information 4 times she says to me "i know how to spell" which i had to lol because it was obvious she had not clue how to spell, lol!! she eventually found the order and told me verbatim "oh well, if you want you can come back and get what you ordered". it was 20 minutes one way to go back and with my experience on the phone with this girl i could not imagine what i would have to go through if i went back. i asked for a full refund. she told me the refund would be posted to my acct in 3 to 5 business days. well surprise it has been 2.5 weeks and no refund, now she may still be trying to figure out how to do a refund lol!! my advice is to steer clear of the snappy salads on greenville in dallas. i want to be very specific about the location as this was my first snappy salad experience and maybe i just lucked out and ordered from the worst snappy salads. mind you i will never go back to a snappy salads. read more

As far as spots that strictly serve or are known for their salads, I would put snappy as number 3 on my list. I never understood and still don't understand their price points for their salads. While the ingredients are fresh, service is good, and the fresh bread is typically warm and delicious, for me...it's just missing something. I can't put my finger on it but their concept is just a little lacking in my opinion. Or maybe it is just because I prefer salata. While also pricey for a salad,they appear to have a bigger variety of leafy and vegetable options, ingredients, etc... except their protein. But I am a big fan of snappy's yellowtail salad, I don't want all of your pre determined ingredients that should go into the salad but the quality and taste is undeniable. It was only my second time trying snappy salads, the first time I tried the Texas taco salad which was delicious! This time around I ordered the grilled avocado salad, which on the menu said was the most popular. I can see why his salad is popular, it was delicious!! The fresh greens and the flavor of the chipotle lime dressing was great. One thing I can say about snappy salads is that everything taste fresh! Snappy needs to go public so I can grab some shares and get some kind of return for all the $$ I keep spending here. I'm not a salad person by any means but Snappy converted me about a year ago. Being the total cheapskate I am, I tried to replicate some of my favorite Snappy salads at home and failed miserably. I'm not really used to paying $10 for a salad, but I can usually make 2 meals out of their half salad, so it evens out. The ingredients are super fresh but what sets Snappy apart from other salad places are the flavors of dressings and proteins. The Steakhouse, Texas Taco, and crab cake salads are my absolute faves. So well flavored. The Texas Taco salad is way spicier than I expected FYI because the taco meat and dressing are both hot. If you don't get bread as a semi-palate cleanser to break up the constant heat, your buds will be burning for a sec or two. They weren't kidding when they said the Jalapeno Ranch will make your nose run. The Go Go Steak Piadina wrap is also pretty spicy. I took off a star because I feel like I keep biting into small pieces of shell in the crab cake pretty much every time I get it. Otherwise, good experience on the whole. read more

I love coming to Snappy. We had one when I worked downtown, so when they built one close to my house, I was ecstatic to get one nearby. I drag my coworker there for lunch (where she gets her "weekly greens"), and I've taken multiple friends and family members because their salads are SO GOOD. My favorite is the crispy artichoke salad, but when I still ate meat, the buffalo chicken salad was my go-to lunch. Their warm bread is great and the lemon cookies are a special treat every so often. They have pretty good salads - I particularly like their steak Gorgonzola and their artichoke ones and my boyfriend usually builds his own or gets a wrap. Their breads and soups are very fresh and delicious. I just wish it was cheaper or that there was at least a loyalty card. When my boyfriend and I go it usually comes out to about 27$ - without drinks. More than you typically want to spend at a counter service, quick paced lunch type establishment. Today, I decided to order through the app. I arrive 15 minutes after I order and, of course, I don't get a hello. This is a GREAT place for a quick and healthy lunch. Several people at my office come here and order using the mobile app. The Cobb salad is WONDERFUL! I swap out the Gorgonzola for Feta but the ingredients and dressing are a great combo. The half size is plenty for lunch or any meal. You never know if you are in the right place. - The staff is overwhelmed at the counter. - I despised the seating, huge "picnic tables" and hard shairs (stool/chairs). - They clearly need more room and some sort of directional markers in the ordering - area. - The prices are really really HIGH. You could easily pay $16 or more for just a half salad, drink and generous tip depending on the protein you order. - My party was not offered bread as is referenced as delicious in the online menu. That would have gotten another star. It reminded me a lot of Freebirds, but without the bizarre interior. I ordered a half snap because that is what one of the cute male staff suggested. The half snap runs about $10 (a little more for more expensive toppings, like salmon) and is just enough food to fill up my lunchtime belly. Here's what I really don't like about this particular location: ~Lunch is an asswhip. I get it, it's lunchtime in a busy as hell part of town. It's an asswhip for all of us. But for some reason this staff just doesn't ever have their shit together, no matter how early or late you show up (and believe me, you don't want to show up at noon). It shows how much they value their customers and their feedback. My family and I have been back several times since my first review. We definitely had a much better experience with the staff and our food. Staff was friendly and professional. As far as food, my husband really liked the Cobb salad and would get it again. My daughter finished her Steakhouse salad and liked it. This was probably my favorite salad of the ones we ordered. The steak was seasoned well and it tasted good. Plus I liked how it is antibiotic and hormone-free. I don't like too much dressing on my salad, so make sure you get your dressing on the side if you are the same way. read more

We've been meaning to try Snappy Salads for quite some time and finally got a chance to check it out. What is so special about Snappy Salads? Well, their salads aren't half bad. The soup, was really good, however, it was almost $5 for a cup. Highway robbery. The salads can be done a couple ways. You can get one of their signature salads that already have all the ingredients called out. Or you can make your own by choosing 8 of the many toppings. We got the Cobb salad and it was alright. You usually get a lot of toppings with the Cobb and in this case, there was little of the toppings except for the avocado and the chicken. Lots of the latter. Normally, you'd only get half an avocado for a "Full Snap" but when they split it, our guy just went ahead and gave us half an avocado per bowl, so it was quite a bit and it was delicious. I would have really liked more of all the other toppings, like egg, bacon, green onion, etc. The dressing was fine. No complaints there. The soup was some kind of spicy corn - vegetable soup. Ask for a sample and see what I'm talking about. The sample was very good as was the cup, it's just a lot to charge for maybe 8 ounces of soup. They are very big on recycling and being environmentally conscientious. You can get a cup for water and it's made of corn but looks like plastic. It's supposed to be compostable. I'm putting it in my compost and will let you know how it turns out. All-in-all, it was decent. I'd go there again. read more

This is my to go place so my healthy days. I love how they have such fresh ingredients all laid out so you can customize your salad and way that you want. When I first came across Snappy, I was pretty hesitant. I did not want to spend that much money on a salad, but I decided to try it out. The first salad I ever got was the sweet and smokey. Ever since I've been hooked and it is always my go to salad. The sweet and smokey starts of with romaine and the toppings include mandarin oranges, roasted red peppers, currants, golden raisins, pepper jack cheese, and smoked salmon topped of with honey mustard dressing. The combination sounds awful, but trust me, it's delicious. I always get this and have yet to get tired of it.
