I thought I would try some of the consomme to see if that boosted the flavor. Unfortunately, the consomme tasted like water. Likewise, the rice was without flavor, other than a few pieces of raw onion and cilantro on top. It did have a slight reddish tint to it so apparently they had put some tomato sauce or paste into it when they cooked it, but other than that, it was quite bland. The beans were actually decent and I ate them all. They weren't refried beans but rather kidney beans done in a tomato sauce. Overall, it was a disappointing $30 meal and I'm not sure I would try Fatima's again.
