We had a Shrimp Sandwich with Cajun mayonnaise on sourdough and The Italian Stallion. The shrimp were huge and the taste was outstanding. I also sampled the stallion as well, also terrific. Maybe it was just because we were there for a Saturday lunch. But they had a very limited menu. I noticed other tables were presented with a full menu and a piece of paper with specials. We were only given the specials. I asked about that and the waitress never really answered why other tables got the full menus. There were a few cold cut sandwiches and a blt on the specials menu u, all served with basic potato chips. Sandwiches were $11-14 and the blt was small! They also had a few breakfast items. We ordered club sandwiches & blts and it took almost an hour for our food. There were about 4 other tables seated. The rude owner berates young women. despite calling ahead and being told there would be no problem seating 10 people at 7 on a Friday night, not only were we denied but we were dismissed by the unfortunate person who is the owner. I've never had anything quite like it but I'm so glad we tried it. For dinner, they had a hamburger special. Snapshots isn't a MUST eat kinda spot, but you're in the area and taking someone out to eat or meet up with some friends or family the food and ambience will not disappoint. Came for dinner with my friends. We were hoping to sit outside but did not have the chance to. They had a pretty decent drink menu, not bad prices, we had the house wine. We started with dill dip which was a special- they let us substitute bread (gluten allergy) for extra veggies and chips. We ordered lettuce wraps and salads which were all very large and pretty good. We came here on my daughter's third birthday after hiking the nearby fairy trail. The food was great, we loved the roasted grapes with rosemary in particular. The patio was large and so inviting and the beer list had a nice variety. We're vegetarians and there were plenty of options for us. This is a very eclectic restaurant and bar that has amazing....amazing food with a good beer/wine selection. It's a house turned into a restaurant/bar....it's got a vibe more of what you'd expect from German village. They also have an outstanding outdoor patio area for happy hour or eating. I stopped in again this week and had one of their new sandwiches called "the creep". It's a pulled pork sandwich but that doesn't do it justice. It has onion and a toasted bread that was great.... but the best part of the meal was the soup of the day, it was a mushroom soup with spinach. It has a healthy amount of large mushroom pieces , finitely slices spinach that was perfectly cooked , and a mushroom cream broth that was out of this world. Driving through and found this on Yelp...thought "that looks cute"... not only cute, the cutest town, the most inventive and fresh food you could get..where do I start? Ok, it's in a refurbished old home with a glorious back yard complete with a dining room in the old garage, fire pit on chilly nights, small tables, larger picnic tables... Cocktails are fabulous! I went here for lunch with a friend. The building is cute and well-decorated, the vibe is really nice and the menu is pretty extensive and very enticing. Everything looked good, and I was so excited to try it. My friend got the Italian Stallion sandwich, which was absolutely delicious, and I got the Buffalo Chicken Mac. It was creamy and a little bit spicy and I really enjoyed it. The food was really good and the servers were nice. The reason I am only giving this place 3 stars is because of the long wait times. We literally waited for 45 minutes for our food to arrive (again, it was just a sandwich and mac and cheese), and when they brought it, they gave me a lettuce wrap instead of what I ordered. It took another 15 minutes for them to bring me my mac and cheese. read more

It wasn't overly busy, but patio seating was pretty crowded as it was a nice evening. We sat at the bar and enjoyed a drink, I had a Watershed Ginger, which consisted of bourbon, ginger beer and preserves. It was wonderful! We started with the appetizer of chips, they had great crunch, plenty of cheese and that sauce was amazing! My meal was the Big Red, however I added Turkey upon our servers recommendation. It was a delicious sandwich on sourdough, the taste of garlic was awesome and the balsamic dressing served on the side was outstanding! Snapshots is a really cool lunch spot in Granville. I have been going there for years. The atmosphere is very eclectic; they have added onto an older house with lots of character. Their food is spectacular. They make their sandwiches on amazing sourdough bread. I can't remember the last time I had a sandwich that was that good. Another one of my favorite options is truffle popcorn. It is so delicious. Snapshots is one of those local places that makes you so glad that you chose local over a chain restaurant. This restaurant is pretty unique in that it was created out of an old house and still feels like someone's house! We sat inside, which seemed like the front sitting room. There is a full bar nearby, including local craft beer. But the most unique space is the backyard and garage. Yes, it feels like someone's backyard and garage, but here is seating and service in both. The sandwiches are tasty; my wife and kids all enjoyed it. This will be a good spot to take your significant other or even your out-of-town friends or family members. My wife and I stopped by this place after my college graduation ceremony to grab some dinner. I ordered a slow cooked pork roast sandwich with mushrooms and parmesan cheese. It was AMAZING! The meat was super flavorful and juicy. The bread was toasted in a way that it did not become soggy. After our meal my wife and I ordered a "cookie crock" to split. You definitely know it's going to be a unique experience when you're sat at the last open table, in the back garage shed that you get to buy walking through the house and out the back door to the back yard/patio area. Seemed to check in at just the right times, never pushy. A relaxed atmosphere, no pretentiousness here. Mill Street Ginger was good. Some more ginger zing would have bumped it a notch or two. FYI, their Lemonade is homemade. You could tell, too. Excellent flavor, none of the sugar buzz you get from pre-made chemically formulated Kool Aid junk. You'd think, because Snapshots cooks with locally sourced food, their prices would be on the higher side. Wrong! The prices are extremely affordable for the quality and quantity. Along with the regular menu, a small separate sheet is served every Friday-Sunday showing their Weekend Specials. I settled in their Cuban Pork sandwich with the side salad (+$3). Pork must be marinated before slow-roasting?, as it was super juicy with a teriyaki flavor? Cumin mayo? Mmm! Toasted Focaccia had a nice light crunch around the edge, soft center - great taste. They get their breads local, so it was very fresh. I thought the up-charge for the side salad was a bit much, but it comes in a giant metal bowl; add a protein, and there's enough for a meal in itself. The house-made balsamic vinaigrette was so good. Not too tangy. Made a Build Your Own Cookie Crock with Vanilla ice cream. Served hot out of the oven in a ceramic baking dish. If you're a sundae kinda person, I suggest you save room for this scrumptious dessert! Both my sister and niece loved their Spring Fling and Mussels weekend special, too! Everything tasted fresh. My niece got their pecan ice cream dessert, and googled it up with a smile. Money well spent! I highly suggest you make the trek (near or far) to Snapshots. Granville is such a cute, quaint town.
