I seriously love this place! It had been saved on my Yelp collection for so long now and finally went to try it! It's a small spot and hidden in the shopping center but once you find it, you'll remember where it is. I lived in San Antonio for four years and there was a fruteria there that sold the best changitos and I have not been able to find one in the DFW area until visiting here. I am so happy to have found a spot that sells changitos! They are not for anyone who doesn't love lime. It's freshly squeezed and so delicious! With salt and chamoy, it can't get any better. My girlfriend had the blue coconut and it is delicious! We came back the very next day for another blue coconut (hehe!). The ice is so finally shaved and definitely resembles snow. I always order the Changito, which is raw lime juice on snow with some chile and salt. It's always funny- whenever I order it they make sure I know what I'm ordering, to which I reply, yes I order this every time. My dad was in town once and he (like me) has an obsession with lime and sour things so I brought him in here to try the Changito. The shop itself is small and simple with a good number of tables -- Since it is the summertime (and super hot), it was PACKED (especially with lots of kids who were stopping by after a swim, haha). I had half guava, half hibiscus with condensed milk ("cream"). So. Good! The guava was really packed with guava flavor -- probably because the "natural" syrups are actually fresh-squeezed from the actual fruit (or flower)! The customer service here is HORRIBLE! I raved on my social media about how good the snow cones were before. So it's only right I voice my bad experiences as well. The owner George is rude & doesn't greet or acknowledge his customers, but has no problem over charging you! Horrible example of a leader for his young employees or business owner. I have been coming here for quite sometime I always tip and or tell them to "keep the change". I ordered a small w| chopped pickles. I told him I only wanted 6 SIX chopped pickles. He insisted on charging me $1.50 (full price), "bc their system will not let them charge half" There is usually 30-40 chopped pickles on an order. I've been frequenting Sno for a couple of years now, but I've just now found something review worthy. My go-to has always been around wedding cake, cotton candy, & orchid vanilla cream with cream, but tonight completely changed my love for sno cones. I really regret not trying a natural flavor sooner. I got the tropical & it's A-MAZ-ING. So light & refreshing. Bring it on 100 degrees weather. The "make-it" or "break-it" for me when it comes to snow cones all comes down to the distribution of flavoring to ice. If the flavor syrup all sinks to the bottom and I have to deal with unflavored ice at the top (or vice versa if I eat it too fast), then it's not looking good for you. Fortunately, every bite of my Sno cone was sufficiently flavored with no "ice only" bites. The second big thing for me is the consistency of the ice itself. Do you feel like you're chewing ice chips or does it truly feel like finely shaved ice? They don't call this place "Sno" for nothing. The ice was shaved perfectly into a snow-like consistency. I have only tried the natural flavors, which were great if you want to have your treat flavored with natural juices (as opposed to flavored syrup). Overall, Sno serves a product that will definitely get additional follow-up visits from me. read more

They've adopted the chinese restaurant concept.... have the bare minimum to be able to serve their products. The cool thing about Sno is that they have 3 different types of snow cones. You can get syrup, natural juice, or hispanic types of snow cones. I opted for the natural mango while my oppa Nga N. got the tamarind with some lucas chile style salt on top. After you check this place out there's no other reason to go anywhere else. My favorite flavor for my shaved ice is mango. I love it! What makes this place so special is that they have a line of actual flavors that are made naturally from fresh fruit instead of that chemical juice concoction that other places pour on your ice. A few things to add to Bruce C's review is that when Bruce asked how long SNO had been opened, he said that they have been open for SIX years (inside the convenience store next door)! They finally moved out last June and it's almost been a year. They still have a stripped down decor, none of that fru fru stuff that you find at all the new rage FroYo places. The flavor was delicious, but because it's a cream flavor, it was a bit rich. If I get this again, it will definitely be a small. The second time, I got a mix of natural strawberry and natural pineapple. You pay a little more for these natural flavors, but holy cow it's worth it. I'm not sure if I'll ever be able to venture away from that natural strawberry, It was delicious and refreshing. A suggestion for the owners- the traffic flow of your store could use an improvement. Right now it's about 1 star. You pay when you order, and then you pick up your snow cone down the counter- in the corner. In the same corner where all the napkins and spoons are. And where all the tables box you in. Perhaps smaller tables would help create a more accessible area to wait? I had a large sugar-free blue coconut today and it tasted straight up like DIRT. I spit it out and took it back up, asking for a replacement of pina colada. I take it back up and ask why I only got half when I had a full blue coconut I was asking to change out and the girl told me "this is just our policy. We only give half unless it's our fault." During my time in New Orleans, I have a huge love for sno balls. In Dallas, sno cones exists but the light and fluffy texture of sno-balls that NOLA is so famous for, was hard to find. This place is the closest I will ever get to the fluffiness of Hansen's Sno-Balls, which I have a review for. Their sno balls have the texture that I was looking for but their syrups are just a tad too thick and sweet for my taste. Being so used to Hansen's amazing home made syrups, I had such high expectations but that was definitely my own undoing. Sno has a huge selection of flavors, with a latin twist as well. I had a strawberry cream with NOLA cream and it was very good, just a tad sweet for my taste. They do take the time to coat every inch with flavor so you're not disappointed when you get to the middle that its just ice. I will definitely come back when I am trying to beat the heat in Texas while missing the delectable sno-balls that reminds me of my time living in New Orleans. After reading reviews and wanting something cold but not ice cream, we decided to try this place. I have to say, I'm not impressed. The flavor list is extensive- that is definitely true, but when I went to pay for my snow cone, I decided to pay in cash. As I was counting my coins to give to the man running the register, he actually TOOK the order behind me as well and had them pay while I was counting my coins. It took me 30 seconds to count my coins but he couldn't wait that long before going to the next person? I thought this was extremely rude and off putting. Then we received our snow cones. My boyfriend wanted three flavors and we were willing to pay for it, but we were told you could only have two. He got margarita and tiger's blood, and I pina colada and strawberry. It would have been nice to have some ice with syrup. Both snow cones were drenched in syrup rather than appreciating the ice that goes with me. Coming from someone who is obsessed with snow cones, this place is really good. I couldn't ask for better shaved ice, very smooth, and when you find a flavor you like it's perfect. The only reason why it's lacking one star is bc some of the flavors I've tried so far are wayyy too sweet . Sweeter than other places I've had (their artificial flavors not the natural ones). So be sure to try it before you buy it. Also, their natural flavors are good. I like the coconut. My family and I have been quite a few times, and our favorites have been natural mango, pineapple, and coconut. On the advice of one of the employees, I added cream (like condensed milk) to the natural pineapple and LOVED it. My husband also liked the lime, and my daughter was a big fan of the apricot.
