Initially I ordered the OMG French Toast (kept going back and forth between that and the other French Toast). Now, I like to try different foods, and I usually get standard French toast: fresh fruit and powdered sugar. The OMG French Toast is a "fancy" French toast: Fresh brioche stuffed with mascarpone and topped with vanilla creme, caramel, fresh strawberries and toasted coconut. Back in my younger days, my taste buds could tolerate alot of sweets, but I'm not in my younger days anymore lol. This OMG French Toast was way too sweet, and I didnt care for the stuffed mascarpone, as it made that French toast rather lukewarm (I like hot French toast). So I sent it back and order the French Toast Neat, instead. This is your standard French Toast, without all of the fancy schmancy stuff added lol...Ooh so much better. Nice and warm; crunchy on the edges and soft in the middle. I also sampled my friend's pancake sampler: pineapple upside down pancake, blueberry and sweet potato pancake. Absolutely delicious food, large portions, and friendly service! The blueberry streusel pancakes where fantastic and have a creamy lemon custard in between them and it's was divine. The breakfast burrito was HUGE and had the most delicious pork belly bits inside. The eggs were super fluffy and the green chili sauce was tangy and spicy. This was my favorite dish. The servers and staff all wore masks, the restaurant and bathrooms were nice and clean. The restaurant was a bit crowded, this was the first time since the pandemic began that I have eaten at a restaurant. A piece of San Diego here in Texas! We enjoyed Snooze when we lived in San Diego and were sad to leave it behind when moving to Texas a few years ago. Now we can enjoy Snooze here too! No they still do not take reservations, and they are always slammed, unless you get there EARLY (we do!!) and enjoy a cup of coffee, a game of giant jenga while waiting for a table. Our kidds love it here too and the kids menu is quite reasonable. Being dairy free I need to make some alterations to some of my favorite dishes, but nothing they can't accommodate. The eggs are tasty and the portions are decent. The lattes are hot & they do offer milk alternatives, plus my hubby likes the coffee, which says something! What a great breakfast spot in north Dallas! Nice and bright, fun yellow coffee cups and friendly service. I only have a couple of dings. First, on cold days the cold sweeps in through the wall of windows (which is awesome all other times). Second, my coffee only got refilled once. I actually enjoy having to tell servers "no, I'm good" when it comes to coffee refills. Amp me up on caffeine until I have to beg for mercy. My kids took me to Snooze for a celebratory brunch. We went around 10:30 on a Saturday. The wait wasn't long and we used the wait list to get us checked in. The food took much longer than expected and while the pancakes were good the sides of scrambled egg tasted like powdered egg and the "crispy" bacon was more fat than crispy. I would give the food an "meh" to good rating. I had the strawberry pancake, which was tasty but not special. My daughter's French Toast looked good and my son's chocolate pancakes was "just ok". The service was good. The place is cute with pops is color and unique banquets. It's the typical noice level for places like these. I could barely hear the people I was sitting with. I'll be honest, this place isn't getting any favors when it comes to a review. They're a long established, overpriced breakfast restaurant (not Cafe) with a long wait courtesy of multiple awards and Top 10 to Top 50 rankings/accolades. When you've got the entire deck stacked high, the bar goes with it. Unfortunately, that's not what I'm getting. Service here was pretty solid, although their Yelp wait system didn't particularly match up so that was somewhat disappointing. Waiter was nice but didn't seem to be intimately familiar with the menu. Most of the food came out warm but there was a bit of confusion with orders and some items came later than others. There doesn't seem to be enough staff coordination here. As for the food, you've got probably a good 50+ options with maybe a 30-40% hit rate at finding both the dish you like with the right combination. I was lucky enough to have tried many items, particularly on one instance with a larger group, and can say with confidence that there's both an incosistency in quality dish to dish and even for the same dish. Their breakfast burrito with smoked salmon tasted leagues different than their regular and both were well overshadowed by the Shrimp and Grits. With the time it takes for food to cook and at the prices it comes at, it's not very pleasing to the consumer. Out of all the restaurants I've been to, and of the many I've reviewed, this one had both a high bar to pass as well as the widest range of service and food quality I've experienced. Like many a restaurant before it and many more to come, they have potential and it's up to them whether they continue to succeed or not. I'm not sure how I ended up with so much food but I did. I would say the entire restaurant is a complete success! They have a cute coffee station for people waiting to be seated, they have a big Jenga outside. So waiting to be sratisn't too bad and goes really quick. Our waitress, Kobe, was a 10/10. She was amazing and made the entire experience worth every penny! The food was really good for breakfast/brunch. No wonder why there was a long wait, cause the food and service was excellent. Don't sleep on this breakfast spot, it's definitely worth it. The food is really good and their commitment to sustainability plus use of local supplies should also make you feel better about eating here as well. The staff was also pretty attentive and didn't give me the weird face when I requested that my eggs arrive at the table hot not cold. My best friend recommended that we come here because she heard that their pancakes were good and had many vegetarian/vegan options for her . The pancakes were not good, they were GREAT and without doubt the shining star on their menu. The pancakes were thick without being heavy and tasted deliciously homemade. We opted for the chocolate chip and blueberry pancakes over the more fanciful featured ones. I didn't even need syrup to enjoy these pancakes. Honorable mention goes to the OMG! This was a welcome surprise! We went during covid-19 precautions with my 95 yr old grandmother in law who we were visiting. She was feeling VERY cooped up and she wanted breakfast. We were obviously looking for a place safe for her and us. We found it here. We chose to eat outside where the tables were spaced nicely. Well, on top of being more at ease thanks to the precautions, our server was wonderful! She gave great recommendations given my gluten limitations and was very attentive. Our food was wonderful. I got the gf blueberry pancakes. My grandmother in law could not stop talking about how wonderful the bacon was. Great hot chocolate. Not too heavy, came out hot and fresh and filled with lots of veggies - asparagus, mushroom salad, zucchini, topped with arugula, heirloom cherry tomatoes, citronette and grated Parmesan. It was really good, nice size too, covered the entire plate. Bright green in color, but that didn't take away from the taste at all. On the side was a piece of their housemate chicken sausage, big patty full of flavor. Very much so satisfied. Came in on a weekend around lunch. I saw a decent amount of reviews and heard good things about this place. I booked a reservation online and was seated promptly when I arrived. The servers were nice and the interior was cool (aside from the weird covid glass walls everywhere). The menu seemed pretty limited and items were pretty run of the mill American breakfast places (with a little twist). The Breakfast Pot Pie is a very light airy fluffy crispy exterior croissant-like pastry with a little bit of white southern sausage gravy, topped with a sunny side egg. The pastry left a little something to be desired because I was expecting a biscuit like bread, but it is more on an empty croissant. The Egg was cooked perfectly sunny side up with no seasoning and gravy wasn't enough to eat with the pastry. The Hash Browns had a great presentation. They looked to be the same shape and size of an english muffin or biscuit. The exterior of the hash brown wasn't very crispy and the inside was warm shredded potatoes. I prefer my hash browns evenly mixed; some shreds crispy and some not. Also no seasoning. The Smashed Avocado Benny also had a great presentation. It's an english muffin topped with a slice of tomato, mashed avocados, a poached egg, and cheddar hollandaise sauce. In conclusion, this place seemed to a lot of hype. The food wasn't bad and did have a unique spin on the foods received, but everything was pretty bland. It definitely is on the healthier side and great for pictures, but not sure if I'd suggest this place friends in town for the weekend. read more

Great breakfast! This was our first time dining here. We did the checkin ahead of time through Yelp to save a spot in line. We arrived & were seated immediately in a booth. They did have the glass partitions up between the booths as well. Hand sanitizer was also available at the front checkin. I ordered a vanilla latte, the hashbrown scramble (forgot actual name of it). Hubby got the Pancake Flight with blueberry, pumpkin, and pecan pancakes with a side of sausage. My daughter got the kids breakfast quesadilla which came with hashbrowns & fruit and my son got the eggs & toast breakfast with hashbrowns & fruit. They did forget my husband's side of sausage but they did bring it out. There were no other complaints at the table and everyone enjoyed their food. And that doesn't always happen so I was pleased.
