Now on to the food. My wife doesn't eat runny eggs, and there was no problem getting scrambled eggs on the eggs benedict ( you can pick 2 diff types with the order). Walked in this morning with the intentions of eating an omelet. Ended up with an amazing bowl filled with roasted cauliflower, sautéed asparagus, pickled red onions, sweet potatoes, I know there's more I just can't remember everything! By walking in this restaurant you can see why they have great reviews. The restaurant is very cheerful and full of laughter. You are greeted with a smile and I didn't wait at all because I used the waitlist on the Yelp app - great feature for great restaurants because the waiter had stated they had high wait times especially on the weekend. I was greeted by waiter Shane who stated "are you here for the royal treatment " . I was seated in the middle in a comfy circular booth and I was by myself , . I was super enthused about this place with its fun interior and quirky menu. What knocked out a star was the hash browns. They are molded into a circle and were dry and bland. The biggest problem with Snooze is that there isn't enough of them! Come to Plano or Frisco please!!! When you arrive there will probably be a wait but the good news is there is fresh coffee standing by to hold you over until your table is ready. The menu is large and it is difficult to choose from because everything sounds so good. The service is great and the atmosphere and decor is California feeling. Relaxed comfortable and friendly. I went with my husband and 2 friends and it was such great food. Last time I went before this was when they first opened up and the wait wasn't this bad. I saw them turn down so many people due to wait. If you try to get in line early through their website or yelp it's so much easier and a very smooth process. The wait obviously shows how great the food is. Extremely generous portion for the price and everything we ordered we loved. We also got drinks which was really good too. With it being so busy I thought the service would be slow but it wasn't at all. The app asked us to check in around 11:58 am to be seated by 12:20 am. As We got there around 12:04 pm and checked in with the host and they informed us that even with the waitlist update we had another 40 min wait. This was a bit disappointing and I'm not sure if it's the app or the restaurant to blame. So all this to say, be prepared to wait a while. Moving on to the food once we were actually seated at 1:03 PM. We ordered Holiday Harvest Bowl, Spud Deluxe, Shrimp and Grits, and 3 egg omelette. Literally every single thing we ordered was absolutely delicious! Shrimp and Grits was top of the list and we all sorta envied and wished we ordered it. Holiday Harvest Bowl was second favorite it had a nice kick to it with poblano and overall flavors were amazing! The green sauce over Spud deluxe complimented the dish so well. Snooze has a colorful and hip atmosphere, some good dishes, and some of the sweetest service you'll probably ever encounter. Nothing veers wrong. There are never long waits. Food doesn't take forever and a day. All plates are very alluring to the eye and satisfying to the tastebuds. I haven't had an eye-rolling, mouth-watering plate there yet, but I also have never tried anything there that was anywhere close to bad or repulsive. I will say for healthy eaters, it doesn't get more on point than the Garden Harvest Omelette. The menu is wonderfully expansive. I would want to eat here daily always trying something new. One of my boring kids went with the chocolate chip pancakes (he enjoyed them) but the other one went with the Pancake Flight and chose the Strawberry Shortcake, Blueberry Mascarpone and the Upside Down Pineapple pancakes as her selections. Wow! Each pancake was better than the last -- as in collectively the best pancakes I've ever had. I'd probably say the pineapple one was the best. Visited for the first time today. Not very crowded and now I know why. The food was mediocre at best. The pineapple pancakes were shapeless. Tiny bits of pineapple that you could barely see or taste. One of my companions ordered an omelet and received a completely different meal. Service was friendly but inefficient and spotty. That is not to say that they were bad pancakes, they were simply overshadowed by their vastly superior cousins. When coming here, I say skip the pancakes, you can get similar ones elsewhere. Now onto the dishes that truly made the experience 5 stars: The Bella! Bella! Benedict. Wow! What did they put in there? The hollaindaise sauce pairs so well with the balsamic reduction! Why aren't more places doing this to their eggs benedict? The acid cuts through the fattiness and creaminess of the eggs and sauce so well and revitalises your palette for the next bite! The Breakfast Pot Pie. If you can only get one thing from Snooze, get this. This is the piece de resistance for the entire restaurant, I reckon. Do not sleep on this! We also ordered one Pineapple Upside Down Pancakes with caramelized pineapple chunks, vanilla crème anglaise and cinnamon butter. That is a must try! About and hour and half wait during peak time and we only waited about 20 minutes upon arrival to be seated. The service was great- thank you Skyler! Lots of great selections for all dietary restrictions including vegan, vegetarian and gluten free. I had the veggie omelette with onion, mushrooms and a tofu scramble inside (alternative meat) alongside a yummy Bloody Mary. The hash brown side dish was delicious and cooked crisp.
