Disappointed... Staff is welcoming w/an underlying miserable disposition. We opted for the bar... (after watching folks as we waited for a table) which should have been offered as an option when you approach hostess stand. We were greeted by a I am busy but what can I get you to drink attitude. We placed our order which took a good bit too arrive (it was busy). But no apology just plopped it on the bar. My entree Sweet Potato veggie mash was actually good. We've been coming to this Snooze for a long time. Eli our server was great and knowledgeable. My son's pancakes were top notch and the bacon was perfect. When I ordered my favorite breakfast item however, I noticed it was very different. PLEASE bring back the old Shrimp & grits! It's gone from my favorite breakfast in town to something so salty and lackluster it was hard to finish. Very disappointed with the changes made to that dish. This past Saturday, we had brunch @snoozeameatery 1604 location. I had a reward of a free Snooze Classic with a purchase of $25. I added us to the waitlist and that worked out really well. Dad had orange juice, and Hubby and I both had coffee. Dad and Hubby both had the Snooze Classic with 3 sunny side eggs, bacon, hash brown, and Dad had wheat bread while Hubby had sourdough bread. First time here. When we were deciding on a place, I told the wife I didn't want us to pay $60 for breakfast. The decor is great and staff is super friendly. Big menu but not too big. We didn't wait on a table at 10am on a Sunday. It took a while for the food to come out, but was really good. I had the corned beef hash. If you order it, that it is homemade and not out of a can like a lot of restaurants. The wife ordered French Toast and she enjoyed her food as well. Waited at the host stand for about 10 minutes with a family of four while several servers looked our way and then looked away. After another group lined up behind us, someone finally came over--without a smile--and asked how many. After being seated, we waited another five minutes and no one came, so we decided to leave. The host, who I assume was on break, asked if everything was okay. I said no, but to have a great day. She at least had a smile. We went to the Jim's across the loop instead. They greeted us with a smile, seated us immediately, and took our order right away. The host was present, friendly, and the service was great. We don't drink and we knew folks would be hungover so it would be super slow. We were right and very happy! Only one other couple in there. Vibes: Snooze is always a mood. I love the decor and each one is similar and yet unique. Service: Meg was so fun! She started our year off on such a good note. She was funny and friendly. Food: Again, it's snooze! This is a favorite place to have breakfast for my fiance and me. I might be in trouble that I went there by myself today. I really suggest downloading the app. It lets you join the waitlist as this is a popular restaurant. Keep in mind that this restaurant is popular, so if the app tells you that there is no wait, there might be one by the time you get there. I arrived, and there was no issue finding parking. I did check the app before I left, and it said there was no wait. When I got to the restaurant, I checked the app again, and there was now a wait. This was not a problem for me as I just sat at the bar. If you want a table, keep in mind that wait times can change quickly. The server behind the bar was very attentive. She greeted me almost immediately after I sat down. I ordered a Boozy Blood Orange Punch. The server offered me my choice of alcohol for the drink, and I chose rum. The drink has strawberry coulis, lavender simple, house sour, honey simple and sparkling water. The drink was delicious. Could barely taste the alcohol but it was definitely there. For food, I ordered the Ham Benedict. One of the eggs was not as runny as I liked, but the second one was perfect. Both the eggs were really tasty and well seasoned. I also ordered a side of Bacon But Different. I highly recommend this bacon. The bacon is rubbed with brown sugar, cayenne, chili flakes, and drizzled with Sriracha maple syrup. The restaurant has a casual feel and was not too loud. I recommend this place for good food, drinks and fast attentive service. read more

We sat down and immediately ordered our food and coffee with cream/sugar which arrived promptly. We asked for spoons to stir our coffee. The server never brought them and after about 10 minutes, my husband went and got some on his own. No big deal. But then we waited 45 minutes for our food. We ordered the Avocado Benedict which arrived cold and tasted awful. I'm usually very skeptical about people saying something is too awful to eat. But truly, two bites and I was done. Even the English muffin was terrible. My granddaughter's scrambled eggs were cold and the bacon did not seem cooked. 3 people - $80 - not going back Our server never acknowledged the excessive wait time and laughed when we told her that we got our own spoons. Snooze is always a great place for a breakfast treat. Today I discovered their gluten free pancakes. I had the GF sweet potato pancake after discovering I'm gluten intolerant. It wasn't quite as good as the ridiculously tasty standard but still very yummy. I was just happy there was a GF option available! In the past I didn't love the flavor of their drip coffee. So today I got a mocha. I was overwhelmed by the amount of whip cream and had to use a straw to avoid having a whip cream mustache but it was delicious.
