Third time here eating brunch at Sunny's! We had the pleasure of dining with Kym who was a fantastic server! She was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The food, lattes, and atmosphere is such a breath of fresh air. I will be coming back soon! Thank you, Sunny's!

Is it busy? Yes. Is it pricey? Yes. Is it worth it? Absolutely. I loved everything at this establishment from our lovely server, gorgeous atmosphere, and yummy food and drink. Reserve a table!

Good effort for new restaurant. Beautiful place! Great art. Music is a little loud where we were sitting in the sunroom. Food was good- just some mixups: - my coffee cup was dirty. I asked for a new cup of coffee and they offered to bring me a new cup. Which of course would have mean drinking dirty cup coffee out of a new cup! I explained and the brought a new cup. - my wife's food came out cool. Not cold, but definitely not warm. - they brought me the wrong eggs. Turns out they brought out the wrong plate and corrected it right away. But I had already stabbed the eggs with my fork to see yokes were runny (blech) and had to clean my fork But overall, it was good.

Cool little place. We went during the World Cup, and side note, there aren't any TVs, so that was a little disappointing. The staff was great, and the mimosa flight was fairly priced. My wife tried the raspberry coffee and said it tasted more like raspberry than coffee, which wasn't her thing, but if you like flavored coffee you might enjoy it. The Eggs Benedict were fantastic and easily the highlight of the meal. Also, don't sleep on the appetizers. I didn't take any pictures, but every one we tried was really good. One thing to keep in mind: this place gets busy, so plan accordingly because you may be waiting a while.

This was my first visit to Sunny's, and I have to admit I was a little hesitant at first. Since they don't take weekend reservations or have a waitlist, I was worried about getting a table for my large group to celebrate my birthday. I had been told to arrive 2-3 hours early, but we arrived about an hour and a half before we wanted to eat, and they were able to seat us within that time. Berkeley, the host who greeted us, was attentive, welcoming, and professional. From the moment we arrived, I felt like we were in good hands. The restaurant itself is beautiful. I loved the yellow buggy outside, and the duck décor inside is such a unique touch. The flowers and lemon tree create a bright, inviting atmosphere. It was definitely busy and a bit loud, but we were seated in a booth where everyone could comfortably talk and enjoy each other's company. Our group ordered a variety of appetizers, brunch dishes, drinks, and dessert, and every single item was excellent. We started with the feta avocado appetizer, French toast, grilled cheese sandwich, and the Mediterranean plate. For my entrée, I ordered the chilaquiles, and they were absolutely fantastic. I especially loved all of the flavorful sauces. I also enjoyed both the espresso martini and the limoncello drink. Everyone in my party commented on how much they enjoyed their meals as well. Our server, Addie, was outstanding. She was professional, attentive, and checked on us frequently to make sure everything was perfect. She also made sure I felt celebrated on my birthday, which I really appreciated. To top it all off, they surprised me with chocolate gelato for dessert, and it was absolutely delicious. Overall, I had an amazing first experience at Sunny's. The food, service, and atmosphere all exceeded my expectations. I will definitely be back, and I highly recommend it for brunch or a special celebration!

First time trying Sunny's at The RIM, and it was a great experience! The service was great, and the restaurant itself was absolutely adorable inside and out. I loved the decor, the atmosphere, and the overall vibes. They also offer both indoor and outdoor seating, which is a nice bonus. The coffees we ordered were just okay--not bad, but nothing particularly stood out on the ones we picked. The food, however, was delicious! Do yourself a favor and start with the avocado crostini--it was absolutely delicious . The entrée portions were generous, and everything we tried was flavorful. Overall, I'd definitely recommend giving Sunny's a try. Great atmosphere, friendly service, and tasty food make it well worth the visit! You can get on the waitlist online or make reservations for some days of the week. This is highly recommended right now. The wait can be from 30 to 50 minutes. They do have outside seating, but it is not very shaded so it will be hot. They also have bar seating I tried the frozen aperol spritz. I don't know if it sat for a while or if it's supposed to be like that, but it was only half frozen. We shared the Parmesan fries. The portion was big, the amount of Parmesan on them was just what I needed and the garlic aioli was the cherry on top. For my meal, I had the whipped feta and egg toast. It came with a portion of beet hummus and arugula salad. My eggs were perfectly cooked over medium. It also has fresh avocado. The restaurants is esthetically pleasing. It's definitely a girl brunch kind of place. For being super busy, I feel like service was quick and our waiter was always around. Parking is available behind the restaurant and in the garage across the street from it. You will more than likely have to take a short walk to it.

The champagne tower was absolutely delicious with the variety of juices they have available. The restaurant was a bit cramped but I can understand given the delicious food. The atmosphere was absolutely adorable and our server was extremely attentive and helpful when it came to our menu selection of meals

This was our first time at Sunny's and it was so good!! we had the crème brûlée French toast, Texas Benny, and tiramisu iced coffee all spectacular! The ambience and outside patio area is so beautiful and well decorated. Feels like you're at a cute resort. Service was great, and I highly recommend!

Berry pancake stack = three light pancakes with layers of fresh cream, blueberries, and strawberries! So yummy!!!

I was delightfully surprised by our trip to Sunny's. I had a watermelon lime juice that was super refreshing. I had the berries and cream stack and it was delicious! Fresh berries, light and tasty pancakes, and just enough cream! I will be ordering it again!! The service was great-everyone was so upbeat and helpful. It was bright and sunshiny, with white roses overhead and a lemon tree in the middle. Overall it was a fresh and inviting vibe. Highly recommend for a fun girls brunch. They had a mimosa tower for that very reason!

Ambiance is amazing.... The food is extremely overpriced for what you're given and not flavorful and to have to wait 1 1/2 hours is totally not worth it. We got Parmesan fries for $9.99, hardly any Parmesan on them. Adding on: After our appetizer, we received our food and my husband had a piece of glass in his entree. We're grateful he caught it thinking it was an egg shell but it was clearly a piece of glass. The restaurant manager was shocked and apologetic. Asked if we wanted something else however, after seeing that the appetite was just not there. He did offer us a gift card for a future visit which we denied of course. I am hoping they can get it together starting with the no glass near the food, the wait time and then the food flavoring.

I heard about the new opening so tried waiting maybe 2 weeks til they opened after (i don't know when the opened). I added me and my boyfriend to the waitlist and it didn't take too long maybe an hour (we were getting off work so it worked out perfect) Service is good the waitress we had was super nice ! she dealt with another mean customer and handled it well. our food was brought out fast. we ordered the french toast dippers (i think it's called that) for a starter and I had their brunch bowl. I'll put photos (i forgot to take some but i was eating midway). Food was delicious! they use a type of jam for you to dip your french toast sticks in and it was sooo yummy. I guess only 4 stars because of the wait time to sit down. but it's a new restaurant in a crowded city so i understand ! other than those an amazing experience and would definitely go again!

    Monica S.

Atmosphere amazing! Food tasty and came to the table quickly! The service was great! The only one recommendation, better waitlist process, we waited 2 hours for a table, we did walk around the Rim while waiting (but quickly seated once we brought it to their attention)

The bar was super busy and all the booths were taken, but the bartenders took our order and by the time the drinks were made, two people were leaving and gave us their spots. We only went in for a nightcap after a dinner date so I'm unsure if they have food/ bar snacks or anything. We'd definitely go back if we're ever in the area.

Well decorated, comfortable, and great service. It's the kind of place that could range from casual to dressing up and still feel at ease. The Calamari was tasty and was a good way to get the taste buds fired up. After sharing a salad, I went with the Lasagna. It was a 10 layer recipe and was absolutely delicious. The layers were so thin and light it allowed the flavors of the sauce to shine. Definitely my favorite dish of the night and possibly the most enjoyable lasagna I've ever had. Pasta is always a hard choice for me to make, but the reward to carb ratio was worth it tonight. Wifey went with the Amalfi Gold plate. Eggplant noodles with shrimp and squid. Another winner selection. No celebration is ever complete without dessert. The Cannoli pastry was flaky and the filling was sweet. Valet is complimentary when dining at the restaurant. That is particularly helpful in this cold weather. When we entered the restaurant the dining area was empty. There were a few patrons at the bar but no one at any dining tables. Maybe a sign?? The reviews on Google and Yelp are all over the place. The decor is nice but the seating is a little outdated and worn. I can understand this, though, because I am sure they get a lot of family traffic being a hotel so close to Six Flags. Our waiter, Robert, came right over to take our order. He was friendly and personable. The Restaurant Week menu had two choices for each course, so my friend and I ordered everything so we could try it. First up, the appetizers were poblano and corn soup or heirloom tomato salad with blue cheese. The soup was delicious but was not very hot temperature-wise. The salad is a beautiful idea, but the tomatoes were just bad. They were out of season, mushy, and tasteless. I love tomatoes, so I was disappointed. Next up entrees. My friend had the braised short rib with beans and rice. I had the Redfish with rice and green beans. The short rib was excellent, but it came out at room temperature. Considering we were the only ones there that was a red flag. My fish was seasoned well, and I enjoyed it, but it was room temperature also. Is there a draft in the kitchen? Other reviews mentioned their food was not hot so it seems like a trend. For the amount you pay, the food should be piping hot when it comes to the table. Finally, we got to dessert. I had the creme Brulee cheesecake and my friend had the campfire dark chocolate torte. The desserts were delicious with no complaints at all. This place has a lot of potential, but there are too many restaurants in San Antonio, so you have to make a positive impact on your customers, so they want to return.
