Pulled pork sandwich and Mac and cheese

My family was quite pleased with our stop here. Everybody enjoyed their meals on the whole (however would skip coleslaw and mac and cheese). We enjoyed being able to sit on the patio to enjoy the nice weather.

    Veggie Omlet

Great food, nice service, a small roadside diner with a "where the locals eat" feeling. True Americana and Southern Hospitality in a nice, cozy place.

Their chicken sandwich and potato salad with a sweet tea!

Amazing food and sweet staff. Loved the atmosphere and the views outdoors ambiance was perfection

Outside of restaurant with patio seating

Standard diner food with nice back patio seating and ambience. Very limited indoor seating. We unfortunately had to wait quite a while for our food but the server was nice and kept us updated. We liked the snoring bear smash burger. FYI soda beverages are can only, no fountain drinks.

Amazing food!! Soooo cute and small as well. Really broad menu. Some interesting stuff on there. Pictured is a smash patty burger with fried mozzarella and also a pulled pork sandwich.

Bacon wrapped meatloaf, potato salad and corn casserole

We were traveling with the dogs and stopped in for dinner. They have a covered area outside where your pets are allowed. The server even brought out water & a bowl for the dogs. What a unique little roadside diner. If you blink, you may miss it. The food was awesome. We tried deviled eggs, a few sides, a burger and the bacon wrapped meatloaf. I would definitely recommend, worth stopping in. They do not serve any alcohol, soft drinks and tea only.

The serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner depending on the day. It's a little disconcerting when you pull up to my the entrance and slightly more as you step in the dining room. But the place, though worn, is spotlessly clean. The food that they prepare is all scratch made to order. So don't be impatient it's well worth the wait. My wife had corn dogs and fries. The corn dogs had a wonderful crunchy cornmeal crust that reminded me of my childhood (I'm pushing 70). I had the patty melt that had a very tasty yet unknown cheese that was so melty that I loved the sandwich. This place is a little out of the way but if you are anywhere near Johnson City it's worth the effort.

The pancakes were just ok.... They made the batter as we ordered it so it didn't have time to absorb the flour so it wasn't all that good. He said he would try a burrito next time. I loved my biscuits and gravy. The gravy was a darker color but the sausage was so flavorful and it was light in pepper which I like because I don't like pepper. The biscuit was a really great size and fluffy. The bacon is not thick cut but still Crispy and good, eggs were cooked nicely. Now on to the cheddar rounds..... I try these all over but these are the absolute closest you will get to the Pals version. They were lacking the season salt which would have made them taste like Pals. Over all I was very happy and will definitely be back!!! Also the prices were good (pic of menu (included)

This place is still great, but it's not on the same level as it once was. Food: 4.5/5 I got the Monster Burger with Pepper Jack cheese and a side of French fries. The burger was cooked very well but could have used a bit more seasoning. The Pepper Jack cheese could have been a little spicier, but I understand that each brand has a different spice level. Today's fries were just good, but most of the time they are great. You will learn quickly that I am a French fry connoisseur, and I will always say that crinkle-cut fries are the best in the game. This place serves crinkle-cut fries, and most of the time they absolutely hit. ‍ Service: 5/5 I went around 11:20-ish on a Wednesday, and it was packed! It's great to see the business still doing well, but it did take some time to get my meal. However, it was worth the wait, and the service is fantastic. The staff works extremely hard, and they make the experience enjoyable even during busy hours. Atmosphere: 4/5 The restaurant is absolutely clean, and they take great pride in keeping it that way. I will say there isn't much table space, but that's due to the size of the building. I honestly wish they would move to a bigger location because they deserve even more business and additional staff to help support the incredible team they already have. Value: Cannot Judge I can't fully judge this category since my dad treated me to lunch and paid for it. That said, the portion sizes for the prices seem fair and fitting. Final Thoughts Like I said before, Becky's is not on the same level it once was, but I still love this place! It's always a pleasure being served by a great staff while chowing down on a good Monster Burger. If you're a burger fan, then you should absolutely make a trip to Becky's! FEAST Overall Rating: 4.5/5 Would I Go Back?: Absolutely!

Johnny B Good all the way to Alcoa Tennessee…read more I had read some review on Yelp, - Thank you fellow Yelpers! and had Hot Rod's 50's Diner on my list. We pulled into the parking lot, and I could hear my compadre, RIP, say to me, ' Si está ocupado, va a ser bueno." If its busy, its going to be good. The parking lot was full and the inside of the restaurant was busy. We walked in and our Mom who was a teenager during the 50's loved the decor and signage and my brother immediately gravitated towards the pinball machines. We sat down at a booth. The booths are a little tight if you're tall and have had a couple of cheeseburgers over the years. The good news is that the table is moveable Our server Finch was delightful. By the way, it was her Birthday on the day we were there and even though she was working on her Birthday, she was still having a lot of fun. The regular menu is HUGE. I'm not talking Cheesecake Factory HUGE, I'm talking about triple that...... There's about 50 different burgers and I'm probably missing some. There's burger with a fried bologna slice and american cheese There's a burger with Military Chow The menu is clear to understand but there's an overwhelming amount of choices. I didn't see the vegan menu in the regular menu so I politely asked Finch for the vegan menu, and she skipped back to me with it. Wow - A lot of choices as well. Hot Rod's uses Beyond Meat for some of their burgers but they also custom craft their veggie burgers. The vegan cheese on my burger was most likely Follow Your Heart or Violife, but it was properly melted. The Beyond Burger was a frozen slab without any seasoning but cooked through. I would have preferred some seasoning but hey - I'm not going to knock it. The portion of fries is massive. The vegan ranch is Follow Your Heart and was a nice dipping sauce for the fries. My brother had a buffalo chicken sandwich and my mom had the reuben. We all shared the vegan banana split. Hot Rod 50's Diner as stated by another Yelp reviewer may be the best diner in the United States.

Gordon Ramsey would consider it a threat. As a chewy bacon lover and enthusiast, when my bacon came out charred and demented, i was appalled to say the least. I had to drench it in the white gravy so it would give my stomach the illusion of chewy. Even then, even with the request of chewy, i was let down. The home fries were exceptional.. as exceptional as any other home fry you'll get on the Pigeon Forge strip. And why? They'll all the same refrigerated chips of processed mess. Soggy, not even crisp. So poor you'd hope the microwave would add additional flavors from all the other food they microwaved. I wouldn't even praise the food if paid me, it's sad enough i paid IT to taste like wet squeaky boots. But anyways the atmosphere was just bewildering! They have a big exhibit with birds you can watch. Sometimes they're loud and a bit squawk-y but it doesn't deplete the experience. This is my internal conflict with a certain drink on the menu. The Monster. This satanic abomination soup of a beverage really tempted me. I drink energy drinks and was excited to try a Monster! I mean.. we're all a little adventurous deep down.. human nature! Wrong. Apparently.. With full fledged confidence.. as much as you'd expect at a busy bar playing BINGO.. I asked the waitress for a Monster energy drink. Big. Mistake. I get it.. I took an unsuspecting picture of the beast waiting.. opened it.. and took a sip. If you were to ask me, giving somebody a pedicure with your MOUTH would taste no different than a can of this monstrosity. Maybe I recommend the restaurant.. but I don't recommend the Monster.
