This place had promise, but I'd rather drive to SD to the Boiling Crab for some real Cajun style shrimp. It took a long time to order and even longer to get our food. We ordered 2 pounds of Cajun shrimp, a side of corn on the cob, potatoes, sausage and the calamari balls. The Cajun sauce was sweet almost like they put BBQ sauce in it. The shrimp were hard to peel, not sure if it was because the shrimp was over cooked or not cooked enough. When you peeled the shrimp most of the meat went with it. Ok this Restaurant my wife and I walked into by mistake because we where looking for something else. But we decided to stay and try something new. Let me tell you how happy we were that we stayed!!! This place has extremely great customer service. The Manager is really great and all the staff do such a great job. Now the food, and I feel like we under paid because we gotten so much Crab legs and shrimp for an amazing price. The seasonings used are very tasty and not to spicy unless you want it like that. The sign up front still says Noodles of the World so don't be fooled! I personally think it is unfair to come to this place with the intentions of comparing it to boiling crab. Came here because I never saw this place before on Yelp and was curious. When I saw where it was I thought, "Oh this has got to be where Noodles of the World was!" We drove to the old Noodles of the World to see all the Noodles of the World signs still plastered everywhere, and I thought hmmm.... Went across the street and all over the shopping centers and couldn't find it. Then I reread the reviews and saw that they never took down the old signs. Weird but okay. So new signs are coming....someday. Went inside and it was just our family in there. I have never been to Boiling Crab or any type of bag boiling places so I have nothing to compare to. I was kind of torn on whether I liked this place or not. We had 1lb of snow crabs and 1lb of shrimp, garlic noodles and garlic bread. I loved the shrimp, I choose the mild scampi flavor. The shrimp was really good! I could have used a little more flavor on the shrimp as even dipping it into the sauce after peeling was not as flavorful as I would have hoped. For some reason I thought these places boiled their seafood in butter. I would have loved a big bag of shrimp boiled in butter! Now the garlic noodles were kind of gross, I hate to waste food so I tried to eat as much as I could but couldn't and the hubby wouldn't touch it after trying a shrimp. The noodles were kind of soggy and my husband said the shrimp that we added to it tasted fishy. The shrimp in the bag was not fishy to him so I was surprised that this shrimp was fishy. Garlic bread was pretty decent. My hubby said he liked his crab but I bet he was wishing we went to the casino buffet for all you can eat. Lol! Everyone also got a smoothie or tea. And they were delicious! They are trying to do something cute like buy a smoothie in a milk bottle and bring it back in for a small discount. We got the milk bottle option. It wasn't too bad. A lb of shrimp is $13 same with the crab. I guess I'm bitter about my $10 noodles that were not to my liking. I really liked this place! When we walked in, had a Groupon and we're trying this place blind, looked nice and modern. When we got the menu we realized it was a similar style as the Boiling Crab which we love. We had a pound of shrimp, sausage, then corn and Cajun Fries. We ordered the shrimp, corn, sausage medium spicy with the combination spices. Shrimp were very large and come with the heads like BC in a bag with the corn and sausage. Spices were very good and you eat everything with your hands. My wife and I shared the order and were very satisfied. The Cajun Fries were almost wedges and the dipping sauce was great, we even asked for more sauce. We also got a Mango shaved ice. The shaved Ice would be awesome on a hot summer day. Just finish going to Snow & Crab lounge with my family for my husband's birthday and I loved it! We had the chicken popcorn & Cajun fries for an appetizer and my kids ate that up it was delicious! As a main course we had the King crab , snow crab, crawfish with potatoes ,corn and sausage it was wonderful! They make everything with great seasonings and so well cooked. We learned about Snow and crab from some friends of ours and they said they enjoyed the food. My husband and I decided to try it out tonight for a post-Valentine celebration. The restaurant is kind of small and set up inside was quite simple. My husband and I agreed that we came here for the food so that's about fine. We were greeted warmly by a young server and and helped us choose a table. When we were ready with our order, an older Lady with short hair approached our table and started to ask what we want. To make a long story short that lady didn't make ordering easy for us. There was sarcasm in her tone of voice, and made us feel we didn't know what we were ordering. After a few minutes of talking with her I got frustrated and just let my husband deal with her. The other server and the manager Romeo were quite helpful and accommodating so that kind of saved the situation. Just a suggestion from a first time client of this restaurant, do train your servers well so they know how to properly communicate with customers. We enjoyed the food, but service from this okder lady server ruined the experience for us. At any restaurant, great service is half the experience. read more

The food here was awesome! Reasonably priced and the Cajun seasoning was delicious. But, the atmosphere here was awful. They sat us at the table right next to the only other group in the restaurant which was weird but whatever. Then the music, which was so slow and sad it was putting me to sleep, was at such a low volume that we felt as though we couldn't talk to each other without everyone listening in. This would be fine at a fancy steak house or something but this is a casual, eat with your hands place. We just wanted to have a quick casual dinner and a few beers and unwind but it felt very unwelcoming and uptight. You could tell our neighbors at the other table felt uncomfortable as well because they also were whispering when they even spoke at all. I came in on a slow Monday afternoon. There was no one around. Upon further inquiry, I found that the original restaurant in place of this one had been closed on Mondays for the past nine years. I decided to give this place a try and I went with the Cajun Catfish. It came with a steaming side of broccoli and rice. Overall it was a fantastic meal, the sauce on the fish was very tasty; it had a little bit of kick, but not too spicy. For the price and size of the meal, I'd say it is dirt cheap at $9.95. My hubby and I had Wednesday date night here. Staff was great, but they could use more waiters. Popcorn chicken was great, but don't bother with clam chowder. The chowder portion was huge but it is not the typical New England style. It's more brothy with bits of clams and odd herbs. The shrimp scampi was served with rice and side and had great flavor. The best choice was king crab legs with their seasoning. Hands down worth the $ and I think everything is reasonably priced. Only downside is getting hands dirty because napkins are so thin there. We wanted to try beignets but they didn't have any. I would suggest they condense their menu because there's so much to look at, it gets overwhelming. My husband enjoyed his crab legs and that's why most will go. It's a weird little concept restaurant but the effort is there from the staff. Do NOT I repeat DO NOT order the popcorn chicken it was gross! Usually all seafood places will offer at least something edible for the non fish eaters but the chicken looked like squid and I asked a few times to confirm it wasn't fish. It was just gross. Garlic noodles were ok though but nothing to write home about. I would just recommend that they get some non fish options for kids and others. I'm not one to throw shade at someone's business but the two experiences I have had at this establishment compel me to warn other people looking for good seafood to avoid this place. The first time I went, I put a phone order in and they got the spice level wrong. Instead of making it correctly, the cashier just handed me two containers of dry seasoning. Adding the dry seasoning didn't help at all. I decided to give them a second chance 4 months later, maybe they were having a bad day previously. I ordered online and arrived 20 minutes later. I was told to it would be 15 more minutes. When the order was ready I was told that they were out of two items (clams and catfish). Why didn't they tell me when I first arrived so I could order an alternative item? The cashier gave me a piece of paper with a number to call to get a refund. When I called the number the automated system said my order was not found. I went back to ask the cashier about this, she stated " it was out her hands. I have to deal with a third party who runs their website. They attempted to replace the missing items, but it was the chef who had to step in and help out late in this episode. The crawfish are frozen not live as advertised and the shrimp are definitely not jumbo. Overall just two bad experiences and not worth the price. They will not be seeing me again. read more

I ordered half a pound of shrimp at 14 dollars a pound, but the instead charged 8 dollars instead of 7 dollars. I even asked the cashier if she had charged me for shrimp only and not something else - to which she replied yes. The sauce was too salty and the shrimp were mushy as if they were old and rotten.
