Don't take your vehicle to Marlow for inspection or service. The falsely failed my less than 2…read moreyear old wrangler saying it had excessively rusted rotors. Rotors rust, they are bare metal and where the pads don't touch there will be rust. This wrangler was purchased new new the spring of 2025. If rotors put so badly in Virginia weather that they will not pass inspection then it's a part material defect, covered under warranty. Marlow Motor Company is a dirty dealer who tried to get me to pay them to put new rotors on when they are not needed. The Virginia state police will be notified once it is in a different shop for inspection and Marlow motors will hopefully have their license to do inspections revoked. Avoid this dealer and service department, they are crooked!!! effective operation, fluid leaks, visible damage, excessive wear, and obvious defects in components. Surface rust: Light, even surface rust on rotors (common after sitting) that does not affect pad contact or braking performance is routinely tolerated. Rotors often clean up after a few brake applications. Failure conditions: Inspection failure is likely when rust results in any of the following: Deep pitting, grooving, or severe corrosion that compromises rotor thickness or structural integrity. Flaking or spalling metal creating uneven braking, severe pulsation, or loss of braking efficiency. Rusted-through rotors or broken/cracked rotor material. Any condition that produces clearly reduced stopping ability or potential for sudden brake failure. Observable signs inspectors will act on: Thin or uneven brake pads due to rotor damage. Severe rust visible through wheel openings, with loose or detached fragments. Loud grinding, severe pulsation, or inability to actuate the brakes during an operational check. Practical outcomes: Minor surface rust -- pass. Significant corrosion visible during the inspection or causing poor braking -- fail; inspector will issue a rejection specifying the defect. Repair options: resurfacing (if within service limits), rotor replacement, pad replacement, and addressing seized calipers or rusted mounting hardware.

These lugs torque to 100 ft.lbs.per factory specs. It took a 24 inch bar just get them loose so I could re-torque them to specs. Do you think that you would be able to get them loose if you had to do it beside the road somewhere? By the way it failed inspection for some play in the passenger front hub which is fair enough but if they think that I would let them work on something more involved with my vehicle when they can't even do a tire rotation properly they have lost their mind. In then they claimed the car needed the transmission replaced or rebuilt and took forever I can replace a transmission in one day wtf it took them forever to even get to it. so they got the money from her insurance twice for the so called rebuild she had to drive the loaner 2 hours back there pick up her car drive all the way back in she takes it to her mechanic to check it over to see if the transmission was rebuilt and he said that transmission was no rebuilt trans. He said mam You could have died driving that car for 10 mins let alone 2 hours! the way she got it back cause who ever worked on the car left a bolt out of the shock and the other bolt in it was really lose he said the car was to dangerous for anyone to drive like that so she paid to have a new bolt and get the other bolt tightened before she could leave with it, and a wire was left hanging also I dk what that was to but she does, the mechanic sent my mom the pics thru email of everything and said if she needs him to get involved he will. And the a/c is no good but they want my mom to bring it all the way back there so they can leave something else loose or put grease all over the car in not clean the shit like before if I was my mom I would sue there ass for all her troubles she works hard for what she has. We discovered the thermostat had been cut open to allow flow and hide much bigger problems in the engine. Was the car already like this when eatons aquired it and they didnt know about it? Who knows but thats some typical used car dealer trickery and taking advantage of a female customer seems most likley.
