I called in a to go order. The manager said she was not at a computer but wrote down my order on a piece of paper and would enter it as soon as she finished what she was doing. My order was supposed to take 30 minutes. I ran a couple of errands during that time. When I got there to pick it up after 35 minutes, I was told it would be right out. After a couple of minutes, the manager came out & confessed that she had forgot to put in the order but would make my order the priority, she brought me the ticket (3 different kind burgers with fries) and had comped part of the order. After a while they brought the order & I headed home. Just as I pulled in the driveway, they called to tell me they had give me the wrong order. I hade to drive back to the restaurant to exchange the order. They gave me 2 coupons for a free appetizer. Big whoop. We have eaten at Snuffers frequently over the years. Always enjoyed a good burger and cheddar fries, but WOW have they gone down hill. Two groups were seated after us and had their orders placed before we saw a server. Finally got to order a Mushroom burger and Dr. Pepper burger medium well, with a side of medium cheddar fries. Other tables served still no food, server said it was backed up in the kitchen. Finally the order arrives, single order of Cheddar fries, my burger was rare delivered with blood running around the plate even after the bun had soaked most of it up. Burger was raw and middle cold, wife's was a little more cooked but still rare at best. Server took the single Cheddar fries and left us with lousy burgers and no fries. She then returned with the original order of single fries that are now cold. Finally got the medium fries after my wife ate 1/2 of her burger, I refused to eat my burger and chose not to order something else, why would you with food prepared like this. Manager comped my burger but didn't take into count the bad experience. Sorry will be a long time before we go back! read more

Every Snuffer's location I've eaten at has been great and the Greenville location is no different, consistently great food and service...

First impressions were better than the experience. It's a clean place but basically empty. There is only one bartender and one waitress. With a hotel right behind it, I would think it would attract a lot more people. I ordered Texas style nachos. The way they come out with all the cheese and meat stacked on each individual nachos, the chips are soggy with in a minute. Disappointing. The best part was the two dollar draft beers for happy hour. read more

Very frustrating. We got there around 9:45pm. The restaurant was pretty empty. After we arrived the place started to fill up with parties from a local graduation. We placed an order for cheese fries and 30 mins later hadn't gotten them (we ordered before it started to get busy). We left $ on the table to cover our beers and left. This isn't the first bad experience we've had at this location with slow service. We've never had an issue with the Rockwall location. I'm not sure why this location wasn't properly staffed with large events going on in the area. read more

Really dry food. Patty melt was a fake!! French fries were extremely dry. Not ever again!!

Like many before me have said. I can say the food is decent nothing special but the service is beyond lousy. I have been to this location on more than one occasion with the exception of my first visit the service has been extremely slow at best. My last visit we didn't even get any food. We were seated sat there for around 15 minutes without even being acknowledged several of the waitstaff walked by without even so much as a look. We got up and went next door to El Fenix. read more

I've been here twice. The first time was when they first opened, and it was good, just a few kinks. But this last time I was pleasantly surprised. Our food came out perfect and our waitress was very attentive. I ordered the BBQ burger and my husband ordered the bacon cheeseburger. Both were delicious! read more

Update: I've been coming a little more often due to my commute and can say I haven't had the same experience as previously reviewed. The bar staff...again Hannah and Allison are awesome as well as the manager Tracy who was just transferred to the Rockwall location. They are very friendly and attentive. The manager was very concerned about my bad experience and that makes a difference. So far I haven't had a repeat bad experience and I appreciate the fact Tracy took time to listen to my concerns. read more

I was asked to leave because I was open carrying my pistol. Yet, there were no signs indicating their policy. i wont be back.

The food was great as always. Just very disappointed in the Margaritas. I had 3 Margaritas on the rocks, and all 3 were ice full to the top. Very little drink in the glass. Been here a few times, once right after opening, and once a couple months later. Even when the place was busy, it seemed well managed on the second go 'round. Not a lot of bad to say except maybe prices were a little steep. A family friendly place where you can meet with friends or other families to BS over dinner and a few drinks. I'm giving this place 5 stars solely because of the bartender Shana! She's taken care of us a few times but tonight she made my night!! The other bar customers were particularly rude (honestly for no reason) and she was still so positive and genuine! Which is hard to do. She still maintained her bar and was so very attentive to us. I wanted to love having a Snuffers in Greenville. Instead of driving into Dallas or Rockwall, I can just run up a couple miles, grab food, and take it home and eat it. And there's the problem. I've eaten there a couple of times, and always get good service and good food. But when I get it to go, the success rate is less than 50%. Several times the fries were missing. Once I caught it before leaving, and the junior manager said they would go and get me some fries. I told her to take my rapidly-cooling order to the back, cook it again, and bring me ALL the food I ordered, hot and properly packaged. They did. Last time we ordered a burger medium, and got home with substantially raw hamburger meat. Junior manager offered to credit my card for the burger. After a phone conversation with my wife, the real manager credited the full order back, was very nice, and was going to send out some coupons and hoped we would try the place again. Nothing ever arrived. I guess he couldn't be bothered, or decided he didn't really need my business. He may have been right. Tried again tonight. Ordered burgers well done. Actually got home with both burgers and both fries. Well, almost. No guacamole for the guacamole bacon burger. THAT was worth the extra money we paid for it. So, yes, Snuffers offers decent burgers, etc. But so does Bottlecap Alley just down the street, and they can reliably put all of my food, properly prepared, into a to-go order. And that puts them WAY above Snuffers in my book. read more

While in Greenville today, we checked website on phone for happy hour times at Snuffers which showed 3 to 7 pm. Got there approx. 3.20 pm. Ordered domestic draft beer and house margaritas along with regular priced appetizer. When check came, was charged regular price for drinks. Ask the waitress about this and she said 'oh happy hour has changed to 4-7'. I told her website said 3-7. She said well we haven't changed that, got new menus with the right times. Well, obviously you can change the web site easier than menus. She made no offer to correct the bill. Definitely false advertising and their lack of concern over the matter assures I will not return, nor recommend it to anyone else. read more

Worst Snuffer's experience ever! We waited, and waited, and waited for our food. When we got tired of waiting, we finally asked for our check and canceled our food order. The manager never once apologized for the delay and the waiter never acknowledged the delay. There are so many options don't waste your time waiting at Snuffer's. read more

The food is good but the service sucks! My husband and I went here for dinner for the first time at the greenville location. We walked in and nobody acknowledged us. After waiting for about 5 minutes someone finally came up and asked us where we wanted to be seated. Nobody bothered to come to our table for our drink order. We just kept looking around for someone who worked there. Finally we have someone come over to the table and get out order. The food we ordered was prepared like we asked and it tasted good as well. But over the time we were there, the waitress never once came by our table again to ask if everything was alright or even to refill our drinks! Very disappointed I. The service!! read more

We have stopped here a few times over the past year on our trips between Dallas and New Boston. Our first time, my husband and I both ordered the chili dog, having heard great things about it. A few minutes later, the server came by to say they only had 1 chili dog left, so my husband opted for a bleu cheese burger. When the order arrived, there were 2 chili dogs and a burger. The server says "it turns out we had 2". Then we had boxes of leftovers and manager came over with our check for just the 1 chili dog. He didn't charge my husband's food at all because it was their mix up. Mind you that we also learned that just one chili dog is large enough for the both of us to split because they are so gargantuan! And they will definitely spoil you from ever eating a chili dog anywhere else! The "dog" is split and grilled nice and just to a crisp snap on the outside of the dog, then smothered in melted cheddar, and served on a soft bakery-fresh poppy seed bun, with red onions, a huge mound of fries, and a cup of chili! Absolutely pour the chili over the dog and dig in! Don't waste the chili that clings to the cup... use your fries to get every last drop! If you order the cheddar fries, ask for a side of chili to pour over them to take them over the top! I mean, they are great with the cheese and bacon, and a drizzle of ranch, but the chili takes it to a whole new dimension! Our subsequent trips have included other burgers and they were great as well. My fav is still the chili dog! Not a bad bite on the whole menu as far as we can tell! And this Snuffer's is the best of all the Snuffer's we've ever visited. Friendly staff, attentive management, and great cooks! We will always plan our I-30 trips with a stop here!!! read more
