We have been visiting George's for years, and I have to say that our first visit this year, in…read moreApril, was truly exceptional. Adam waited on us at the inside bar and provided phenomenal service. His knowledge, enthusiasm, and dedication to his guests are a tremendous asset to your establishment. I would be remiss if I did not also recognize Eve, Casey, Paige, Al, Jordan, Dan, and Jeff. You have an incredible service team that is second to none. We have spent time at both the restaurant and the Tiki Bar, and most recently we had the pleasure of being served by Gina, who was also exceptional. As a former employment recruiter, I can honestly say that I would be trying to recruit this incredible staff myself! They are dedicated, positive, hospitable, and take tremendous pride in both their professional and personal service. They consistently perform under maximum stress with efficiency, professionalism, and a smile. I understand there is currently a contest on Yelp, and we would like to nominate Adam. He embodies everything you could want in a member of your waitstaff: spirit, dedication, knowledge, enthusiasm, and genuine devotion to providing an outstanding guest experience. He has a wonderful ability to make guests feel as though they are not only being well cared for, but that he is genuinely enjoying his job as well. Choosing one person was extremely difficult because your entire team deserves recognition. However, Adam stood out as a phenomenal leader, and that is why we are choosing him for our nomination. I would gladly hire or recommend any one of these fine young men and women. They are truly exceptional representatives of George's. We wish those who are moving on to college or graduate school all the best in their future endeavors. We will certainly continue to frequent George's, as we have for many years, and look forward to seeing this wonderful team whenever we visit. Thank you for having such an incredible group of people representing your establishment. They truly make the experience special! Cousins, Annie & Tommy (Annie 401-241-9427)

Sometimes the best meals are the ones that take two decades to finally happen. I had a gift…read morecertificate tucked away that my late father gave me 21 years ago, and we finally put it to use stopping in for a late lunch before heading over to the Ocean Mist for a show. Cap'n Jack's is delightfully unpretentious. The dining room side has a warm, classic hometown family vibe, while the bar feels like a cozy local watering hole where everybody knows everybody. Since the weather was gorgeous, we grabbed a table out on the patio overlooking the salt pond - absolutely unbeatable scenery for a laid-back afternoon. Our server was fantastic and took everything in stride. We all had a great laugh when we realized the gift certificate I handed her was literally older than she was! Shoutout to the management for honoring it without missing a beat. I ordered a cold Samuel Adams Summer Ale, which paired perfectly with the view, and we decided to split the Fish & Chips. It arrived as a huge piece of lightly battered haddock fried to absolute perfection - crispy, fresh, and super tasty, served with a generous pile of solid fries. I honestly can't explain why it took me 21 years to finally make it out here, but it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. I'll definitely be back way sooner next time to give some of their daily specials a try.

Everything on the menu looked good. I ordered the Vermont burger, with candied bacon, and onion rings on the side, and it was delicious. My husband got a Philly steak Benedict, from the specials menu, and liked it. We also got a side of cornbread which was very good. My mom ordered the chicken and avocado sandwich, which was my second choice off the menu, but I'm glad I didn't order it, it wasn't quite as tasty as the burger IMO. When we left we struggled to move the tables, as my aunt has a walker, and I did feel like the staff should've helped us with that. Other than that, waitservice was fast and friendly.

First look at the menu, you start drooling, so many great options. Since I was with my girlfriend (who has Alpha Gal and is allergic to red meat) I try not to eat red meat when we go out. They were happy to substitute the ham for avocado on my eggs Benedict. The eggs Benedict were cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. The hash browns for me were a little under seasoned. However next to the salt and pepper they had some hot sauce, a little addition of all three of those and the hash browns were great! They have many different coffee flavor options, service was great. While they were busy they let us know that, and apologized for the delays. We were not in a hurry and will be back again the next time we are in the area.

My dining partners had the fish sandwich (which I tried and will definitely make a trip back to order one for myself) and the other had a hot dog. That too was excellent! With the Fish and Chips came chowder and I chose my favorite - Rhode Island. That too did not disappoint. The flavor and portion were perfect. The staff is primarily young and energetic. Some may not like the easy going atmosphere but I enjoyed it. Their enthusiasm added to the upbeat vibe. I never saw one of them not working. The only thing keeping this from a 5 star is the fact the ordering process - specifically the walk up area - is a bit chaotic as other reviews have written. We went early enough so there was no line and only 1 ahead of us. However by the time we came left there was congestion roaming around the porch area and we had to weave through to get out and off the porch. If there is a way to keep those that have ordered from hovering around - that would be a big help. I'm looking forward to go back again soon!
