I requested a quote through Yelp and my request was sent to multiple auto shops. I chose this…read morecompany based on location and called ahead to confirm they could do more than just read basic codes. I had already done my own diagnostics and knew the car was running rich. I had ruled out the upstream O2 sensor, catalytic converter (both new), MAP sensor, and fuel injectors. I explained all of this to Matt before bringing the car in. He assured me they could perform deeper diagnostics with their equipment. After dropping off the car, Matt called and told me they had "confirmed" exactly what I had already told them, and that the next step would be pulling spark plugs--for an additional fee. At that point, I decided to go elsewhere. What I don't understand is why I was still charged the full $85 diagnostic fee, plus a $4 hazardous materials fee and $3 shop supply fee. Plugging a car into a diagnostic scanner does not generate any hazardous waste--no fluids are drained, no chemicals are used, and no parts are replaced. There's nothing about a basic scan that would justify a hazardous materials charge. That kind of fee typically applies when disposing of things like oil, coolant, or other regulated waste, none of which occurred here. In the end, I paid $92, wasted time and gas, and learned nothing new. The most concerning part was Matt admitting he didn't even know spark plugs would need to be checked as part of further diagnosis.

I was planning on paying a grip to get them working again, but unfortunately they don't make the parts from the manufacturer any longer. The mechanic was able to get the drivers side step down which was extremely important to me since my truck has a huge lift on it. I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this dealership's service department…read more I brought my vehicle in for an oil change expecting it to be properly serviced and safe to drive. My vehicle alerted me to an oil issue through the Hyundai app, and I noticed a burning smell along with the dashboard alert. This was incredibly alarming because driving a vehicle without sufficient engine oil can lead to catastrophic engine damage and create a serious safety hazard if the engine loses power while driving. No customer should have to worry that their vehicle may have been placed at risk after a routine service appointment. Especially when their occupation is driving small children. To make matters worse, I have called the service department multiple times and have been unable to reach the service manager or receive a return call. The lack of communication and urgency regarding such a serious concern has been just as frustrating as the issue itself. I trusted this dealership to properly maintain my vehicle, and instead I have been left with a car I do not feel safe driving and no answers. I hope management takes this matter seriously, thoroughly investigates what happened, and treats future customers with the level of care and accountability they deserve.
