So Cupcake has so many different flavors of cupcakes to choose from. You can choose small or large cupcakes. The small are $2.50 and the regular size are $4.50. Each day they have different flavors available. On my most recent visit, we picked out 12 mini cupcakes which cost about $25. We enjoyed red velvet, carrot cake, root beer, key lime, chocolate raspberry, and some different versions of chocolate cake with chocolate icing, or cream cheese icing, and yellow cake with chocolate icing. My favorite cupcake at So Cupcake is the red velvet with cream cheese frosting! There was a young children's party there the day we visited, and people from the party were on both sides of the seating areas where you walk in. It almost felt like we were walking in to a private party. It might be helpful to have parties on one side of the area so that people visiting who are not at the party can also have a place to sit if they choose. There was an older couple visiting in line before us, who both had walkers, and it was challenging for them to move around the party in order to get their cupcakes to take home. The woman behind the counter was friendly and patient, but went from touching our cupcakes, to ringing our purchase up, and not washing her hands or wearing gloves when touching anything. I have driven past this place for years. Today I decided to give it a try. Plenty of parking, and very cute inside. The selection was so vast that I wanted to try every flavor. They have regular sized cupcakes and mini cupcakes. I ordered one of each flavor which totaled 13 mini cupcakes. The flavors were good, the cakes were moist, the frostings and toppings were fun. The pricing was the reason for not rating this business higher. $2.50 seems very high for one small bite of cake. read more

My daughter won a gift card for a cupcake and her brother got one too! The shop is adorable and filled with yummy treats. I had a bite of both cupcakes and they are too good! At $4.50 a cake they are pricy but they are so rich and delicious you will understand why ... and they do offer discounts on boxes and day old cakes. I would eat these a day old for sure. So Cupcake has found their niche and they do it well. As soon as you enter the shop, you're hit with a wave of scents-sugary, sweetness that lures you in, wanting you to stay awhile. Not only does it smell fantastic, but the décor here is so inviting that you'll want to grab your closest friends and come spend an hour enjoying the treats and sitting in the fun lounge area. There's even a section for children with small tables and settings-the perfect place for a tea party! When I visited recently, I needed a dozen cupcakes, each in it's own box, since they were being gifted to different people. The nice girl at the counter was happy to help, patient with us as we asked about each item in the display case and changing our order a few times. This place is addicting! I am kind of glad that I don't live closer because they have such amazing cupcakes. I enjoy doing the minis so I can try several flavors, and you get a deal on a dozen. They have a maple bacon which is the first time I have ever had bacon on a sweet before, which is what initially brought me in, but the one that keeps me coming back for more is the Key lime! This one is seriously so amazingly delicious, I could probably eat an entire dozen! They also have flavors of the day, one day they had banana cream YUM! Another day was a cherry cheesecake, they need to make that one an every day one! So many of their cupcakes don't just have flavor, but have a bit of filling inside, like the key lime. SO Cupcakes is SO Delicious! After moving out of Utah, I've been on the search for a cupcake replacement for two years. Nobody in WA has come close. This is a must stop whenever I'm back in town. I've been a So Cupcakes regular for 6+ years. My fav flavors are always the cream filled ones. They are super moist and never a disappointment. Banana Cream Pie is first on my list and Strawberry Cheesecake is a close second. These two flavors are specialty flavors. Their regular flavors are ones like vanilla, chocolate, red velvet, carrot cake, and key lime pie. Specialty flavors are hit and miss, but if you call a day in advance they usually can make flavors upon request. The main reason why I buy from So Cupcakes is not primarily for me but for co-workers. They will specialty wrap individual cupcakes in pink boxes tied up in brown or pink ribbon. They are absolutely adorable and make the perfect thank you gift. They can also wrap boxes of four which I've given out for Mother's Day, Valentine's Day, and Birthdays. They are always a hit. All the flavors are super tasty it makes it tough to decide. Instead of purchasing the regular sized cupcakes, I often choose the minis so everyone can have samplings of everything. This will always be one of my stops for unique and delish gifts! P.S. The service is OUTSTANDING! I've come in before with an order of 30 individual wrapped cupcakes needing ribbon for each box. They've never stopped smiling as they've helped me. They have a good variety of flavors, some regulars and some daily specials, in both mini-cupcake and full-cupcake sizes. Many have fillings in complementary flavors. Both the buttercream frosting and cream cheese frosting are thick and sweet and delicious. Stop in for just one, or a dozen, special order any combination you can think of (even gluten free!), or have their cupcake truck visit your event. I was really disappointed with my experience at So Cupcake. My sister, mother, and I saw their sign by the side of the road that said 'Cornbread Cupcakes' and decided to stop in for a treat. When we went inside we immediately noticed how incredibly dark the place was, there were seriously no lights to illuminate the place. It wasn't warm, and it wasn't inviting, who knows, maybe if we had been able to see the place with some lights on we would have felt differently. The cupcake case also had zero illumination so we had to squint and try to decipher what kind of cupcakes we were looking at. Absolutely nothing was labeled. Nothing. There was just a whiteboard sitting on top that listed possible cupcake options, and nothing inside the case to indicate what anything was or if all of the flavors were even available. And I don't know if it was because the place was closing in a couple of hours, but all of the cupcakes had been thrown onto the same sheet pan in a jumbled mess. Not much of an inviting presentation. The girl behind the counter wasn't helpful either. She made sure to let us know that she didn't want to be there, and didn't want us there either. Every time we would enquire about a flavor she would counter with a 'oh but these ones are actually gluten free' or 'that one only comes in mini', and seemed to get irritated that we didn't magically know what the cupcakes were. Proper labelling and illumination probably would have saved us some time and frustration here. I've been to a lot of awesome and inspiring bakeries/pastry shops in the valley, and this one left a lot to be desired. At 3$ a pop, they really might want to consider upping their customer service game, and perhaps installing some lights so customers can actually see the product. Unfortunately, I don't think I will be returning. read more
