At approximately 11:30am this morning, I pulled into the corner of the Chevron parking lot and…read morestepped out of my vehicle for less than two minutes to organize a few things before getting a full-service car wash. I was trying to make things easier for the employees doing the final detailing. To be clear, there was nobody in line, nobody in the car wash, and I was parked off to the side where both kiosks were still fully accessible. The place was completely dead at the time. After I got back into my vehicle and pulled up to the kiosk to purchase my wash, an employee approached and asked if I needed help. I politely said no. He then sarcastically asked, "Do you know how to do it?" I replied, "Yeah, I've done this before." He then told me, "Next time park somewhere else so you're not inconveniencing everyone else." At that point, it was obvious he came over looking for a problem, especially considering there was literally no one waiting. I asked what his issue was, he said "I'm the nicest guy that works here.." the interaction ended with me telling him to have a nice f**ing day. Later, while my vehicle was being detailed, I looked for the employee because I wanted to ask his name, but I couldn't find him. I figured he was in the back, so I let it go then proceeded to wait for my vehicle to be done. A few minutes later, I saw him walking around the detail area, not in his original uniform, giving workers high fives like he was the coolest guy at the car wash. Before he walked inside, I asked him for his name, and he responded, "Don't worry about that." So whoever you are, congratulations on being the coolest guy at the car wash with the sarcastic attitude. Sincerely, The customer who tipped your hardworking coworkers $20 because they were actually respectful and professional.

(Most "full service" car washes get lazy and fail to dust this area leaving it dusty/dirty). Needs Improvement: The interior of my car was a little dusty/was not vacuumed still (specifically, the sides of the driver and passenger seats in between the center console and the seat were left unvacuumed). It seems like instructions don't always get followed, or there's a disconnect between the front staff and the team finishing the vehicles. My main issue--and the reason I'm deducting stars--is the front desk experience. The woman at the front is consistently rude and has been every time I've come in over the years. It comes across as dismissive and unprofessional, which is frustrating since she's the first point of contact. A role like that really sets the tone for the entire experience, and unfortunately, it brings the overall service down. They also have inconsistent hours. I paid $39 for a full service, but the interior wasn't vacuumed properly at all. When I spoke to the manager, he seemed confused about what was included in the service and didn't appear to have much knowledge about the cleaning standards they advertise. Instead of fixing the issue or offering a solution, he told me that next time I should ask for a "deep vacuum." The employees have watched my taste in vehicles evolve (and occasionally regress) and never once judged me. I've talked to every employee here. Not small talk real conversations. Life updates. "How's everything?" energy. This is the kind of place where, if I didn't show up for a few days, someone would absolutely notice and quietly wonder if I was okay or just cheating on them with another gas station. If your car is just dusty, then this would be great. But if you have stuff on your car that needs scrubbing then go somewhere else. I didn't come in with a mud covered car. Just the standard stuff like dried dirt on the edges of my windows from using my window washers and some bird poop.
