Found a local resident in my neighborhood who recommended this carpet cleaner, so we decided to give them a try. I texted the number in our neighborhood recommendation, found on the Next Door app. On Sunday morning (said to call or text), and was able to book an appointment for first thing Tuesday. Sean sent a text the night before our appointment asking if it was ok if they arrived 30 mins earlier than the appointment- you betcha! Sean and Pete showed up at the time of the appointment ready to go. We walked through the house and reviewed the areas to be cleaned, and talked about general light furniture moving (bedroom side tables, etc...). Our carpets were admittedly in a horrible state of dirtiness. It wasn't completely our fault. When we moved in, they carpets were in pretty dirty shape, and then we did a lot of renovating in the house, and we just hadn't made the time to get the carpets professionally cleaned up. Sean and Pete said nothing looked totally awful, and they set out to work. First, they pretreated all of the areas, and went to work with the magic carpet scrubber. After this first step, some areas already showed improvement. Next came the power steam extraction. They carefully went room by room, area by area. 2 areas they went over 2-3 times with the steam extraction, which happened to be the high traffic really dirty areas, with a great attention to detail, focusing on doing the best job possible, and then, asked me to come check that area over, happily willing to re address any areas i was concerned about. The last area, our living room, they moved the couch, the lounge chair, and the coffee table, and then re positioned all furniture on styrofoam blocks, to allow proper drying of the carpet, without endangering the furniture legs on the carpet. Overall nice guys, great focus, nice personable attitudes, and they did a great job at a reasonable rate. We will be scheduling more regular carpet cleanings with Sean in the future. About a year ago I needed my condo's carpets steam cleaned. So... I bought the groupon these guys had for sale. I was pleasantly surprised by service. The gentleman who did the work for me was timely and friendly. I had booked an appointment for my stairs and two bedrooms. Luckily he had time, because I decided to get my sofa and loveseat done as well. The additional price for the sofa and loveseat were reasonable and they turned out looking like new. Fast forward a year later, and I have an appointment booked for next week! Thanks for the great service. Side note- I like that I was able to book via text message. Seriously, these guys are the real deal in carpet cleaning. Best I've found in San Diego with very reasonable prices. Sean and Brett are hardworking and get the job done with a smile. They know what they are doing and care about the quality of their work. They get most tough stains out and your carpets will look just like the "after pics" when they are done. They use great professional equipment and products, deal well with pet hair and stains and will take on big or small jobs. Some other cleaning services won't even bother with one room! Of all the times I've had them clean my carpets and upholstery, it usually has exceeded my expectations. There was only one time they missed a spot, but, when I called them about it, they promptly returned to clean that area again at no charge. I have pets and kids so my carpets need to be cleaned every few months. After trying a few different carpet cleaners, I finally stumbled upon these guys. They've come back three times so far and have been very courteous and friendly. Those of you who've seen my reviews before know that 5 stars only comes from me after an exceptional first time experience or consistent good experiences over time! I am also into "service" and these guys were super nice. Ummmm.... yeah - and I like things super clean. So, don't bash on me for getting my carpets cleaned 4 - 5 times a year!! Unfortunately customer service and booking appear to be non-existent. I have a Groupon - and have not received any response after numerous voicemails and sending an email. Bought the Groupon to correspond with a move out. Will need to get a refund or something as the $69 spent will soon be useless. Shame. We always treat Groupon vendors well with good reviews and tipping too. This company dropped the ball. I usually aim to only write positive reviews but the lack of service from this company has me wanting to warn others. Maybe this is unusual for them but just contacting me back seems reasonable and warranted. read more

We ordered this service and the result was TERRIBLE. They spent hours cleaning and scrubbing but nothing looked clean (couch and carpets). We called them to come re-assess the work that was done, but they would not return our calls for weeks. Once we did got a hold of the cleaners, they wanted us to pay extra to re-clean everything. We refused to pay and demanded they re-clean everything for free. Finally, they sent someone out for a 2nd cleaning. The 2nd cleaning was incredible, that's the only reason they get 1star. If ZERO was an option, this company would get A BIG FAT ZERO!!! I recommend using somebody else. read more

My telephone calls went straight to voicemail and my emails remained unanswered. Shawn and Terry were a joy to work with today. The price was very reasonable and there were no extra charges. They kept identifying extras that they cleaned at no charge. Their focus is on building their business and client base through referrals and it's working. My issue is allergies and on the phone Shawn described his chemical-free, odor-free cleaner and it lived up to his description. They were quick and efficient. How refreshing at the end of a service to only feel gratitude and insist on adding a tip. read more

My appointment was at 10am. They called me at exactly 9:26am the day of telling me there van broke down, and to call their supervisor. I called the supervisor and couldnt get a hold of him for hours, he was in church.... And now they are saying they can't reschedule. What a joke company with 1 van. I have been using chem dry for years and decided to try So Fresh So Clean and I'm really happy. They did a much deeper and more thorough cleaning than chem dry. On my sofas, area rug and 4 bedrooms. My sofas have never looked so good after a cleaning! I can tell it's thorough because it took the whole day and night for everything to dry. They came out the same day I called. great guys!! Will definitely use them again. I see that they had a poor review so my guess is they have much improved their service since that time. read more

I recently moved and wanted to get the sofa/sectional cleaned before moving it into the new place. Im really allergic to cats and so I needed same day service as my boyfriends last roommate had a cat. They were really flexible about getting out the same day, and were nice enough while they were here. But didn't clean the backside of the cushions. I spent the next week with awful allergies and finally gave in to having a different company come out and clean. For the price I paid to have everything cleaned the amount of hair and dandur that the second company found left behind was unacceptable. I read that they came back and re did a job for someone but if they had done it right the first time they wouldn't have to do that. I highly recommend they do a more thorough job and do it right the first time. read more

We bought a Groupon for So Fresh and So Clean and we're happy that we did. I made an appointment and then had to reschedule. They answered the phone each time and were friendly and accommodating. Brett arrived on time and cleaned the carpets of our 2,000+ sq. ft. home in 1.5 hours. He was friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and provided an estimate for their service at cost. The only suggestion I have is to call and make an appointment instead of using their online reservation option. I never received a response when I initially tried to book an appointment on their website. Our carpets are clean and spotless. Since we're very happy with So Fresh and So Clean's service, we recommend them, and will be using them again for future carpet cleaning. read more

The guy who came to clean my carpets was not just on time but early. He surveyed the areas and got right to work cleaning. He did an awesome job cleaning up throw-up and dog stains. Worst customer service EVER!!! Seriously, do not waste your time with these people. They never answer their phones or call you back. I scheduled an appointment and they never showed up and finally after 30 minutes I called and they said they were lost. A phone call to inform me of that would have been great. I re-scheduled and then the guy started texted me the night before asking me how I'd be paying!! Seriously??? And then told me stairs were extra even though on groupon it says stairs can be used in exchange for a room, he wouldn't budge. So I said forget it and got a refund. They do NOT care about their customers, only about making a buck (which normally I can appreciate if its warranted) biggest waste of my time. I bought a Groupon to clean my carpets from So Fresh So Clean. I booked my appointment weeks in advance, as I was getting married soon and needed my carpets cleaned right before my family came into town. They called me at 9 pm the night before to reschedule because their van/machine broke down. They rescheduled me for Sunday (the day after my original appointment) and kept saying how they normally don't work on Sundays, like they were doing me a favor or something! Then a guy showed up Sunday only to tell me that the machine stopped working again and also threw in that he normally doesn't work on Sundays, again like I should be thankful that they at least showed up with non-working equipment. This company apparently only has one van which looks like it is on it's last leg when it pulled up to my house. I cannot comment on the quality of their carpet cleaning as I did not get that far! But based on the quality of the van and machine they use to clean the carpet I would not recommend this company, regardless of their prices!!! read more

I have to give 1 star as there's no lower rate to be given. I had a recent (summer of 2014) experience with them which was horrible. My carpets were dirty and they were running a promotion through Groupon. I called and ask if I should buy the groupon and pay extra for extra cleaning. They said not to buy the groupon and that they will give me its price anyway. It should ring my bell then that these ppl are not honest if they want to cheat the groupon. They came to the house and started adding to the original agreed price for extra cleaning. I agreed and paid over double of the original price. Not only that they did not clean my carpets but they made such a mess cleaning the stair way. All my furniture in the dinnette that was not covered on their advice that is far from stairs, even the kitchen, walls and mirrors, paintings, pictures, etc. were damaged. I had to wash the walls and deal with restoring furniture and the rest of the mess. My carpets were even worse as they were bleached all over unevenly and completely discolorated. Besides, the odor that we had to suffer for months was almost unbearable. I called them to come back and deal with the stains and odor. It started a saga of lies that the truck just broke, something happened, or they were just not showing up. I wasted a month to try to get them finish their job. I wasted days of work waiting for them to come to the house. I was always nice and asking kindly. They stopped answering their phone when saw my phone number on their screening id. I called them from a phone of a friend and they picked up. When they heard my voice they hang up on me and did not answer anymore. I left them a msg that I hate to give bad reviews and never had, but this time I should so, people know what they are getting into. I procrastinated with more than a half of year because I really hate to give bad reviews but accidentally run into a YP perfect score of 3 reviews on them which are very old (2009) and untrue. I felt obligated to tell the truth about this company's recent dealings which are: incapable to clean well because of old truck and lazy technicians; dishonest and sneaky; unprofessional; in one word awful. Don't go with them! Read yelp ratings first before choosing a company. Don't be stupid like me! I was looking for a cheap carpet cleaning service since I had a limited budget, and also because I was having four rooms cleaned. I thought I was being smart by going for a service that would save me money, and the costs of renting my own equipment. The way the carpets looked after the job was done, made me think otherwise, the carpets were still covered in stains, and the worse part was that it took four days to dry, we ended up having to walk around the house with no socks on, which made the carpets get even more dirty. I would not recommend this service to anyone. The work was very unprofessional, the cleaners showed up late, the equipment was very old, and they had no consideration for our belongings. I even found some of my very important documents in the trash, my bathtub was filled with junk, I guess they thought it would be okay to empty out the machine in there and now my sink is basically clogged. I would recommend everyone stay away from this service. I learned today that its better to go with a service that will actually deliver, even if its a little out of my budget range. read more
